The truth is that God is within - you were made in the image of the Creator.
But there is a fine line between recognizing and embracing it for good and inverting it, considering yourself a god. The inversion cuts them off from the true source that is God.
Imagine you can’t feel anymore… their depravity arises from boredom and emptiness. The material rewards prove their madness works but the cost is high. Selling your soul is more than a metaphor.
Can you turn off your empathy and compassion? Do you recognize what you’re capable of? That’s what we’re dealing with. They chose the self for personal gain
