Moses was up on the top of the mountain in the desert 40 days and 40 nights with "God", came down speaking for God, giving rules and killing people while leading them to the land "God" swore on oath. Moses according to scripture sinned but blamed everyone else for his own sin.

Jesus fulfilled that law that leads to death and set us free from our sin, taking all blame on Himself.
