The Pentagon and CIA Germ Warfare Program

The American Security State never stopped creating deadly biological warfare germs in the United States and abroad.

Biological warfare research began in the United States in 1943 by order of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The U.S. Army Chemical Warfare Service then began a large-scale research and development program at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland. That research continues to this day.

President Nixon’s Executive Order in 1969

President Nixon’s “Statement on Chemical and Biological Defense Policies and Programs,” was signed in late 1969. Nixon ordered “The United States shall renounce the use of lethal biological agents and weapons, and all other methods of biological warfare,” and “The United States will confine its biological research to defensive measures such as immunization and safety measures.” The Department of Defense (DoD) and the CIA simply ignored the president’s executive order.

Fort Detrick survived Nixon’s order by destroying all evidence of offensive biowar research on the base. Nevertheless, DoD and CIA continued research in other labs. In 2015 reporters for USA TODAY found more than 200 high-containment lab facilities in all 50 states and the District of Columbia operated by government agencies, universities, and public and private companies. They wrote, “They're scattered across the country from the heart of New York City to a valley in Montana; from an area near Seattle's Space Needle to just a few blocks from Kansas City's Country Club Plaza restaurant and shopping district.”

In 2009 I was seeking facts for my novel, The Woolsorter’s Plague. A friend arranged for a visit to Fort Detrick to see the emergency hospital I wanted to include in my book. I did see the hospital – it had an airlock, was nicknamed “The Slammer,” and the director said it could deal with any accidental exposures to germs by the staff. During my tour I saw labs with door labels like Ebola, Marburg and other deadly pathogens. The director assured me their research was designed to find cures and vaccines for all those diseases. It was 2009, long after Nixon’s order, so I believed him.

The Biological Weapons Convention

In 1972 we signed The Biological Weapons Convention and by 2023 it was ratified by 185 countries. The Convention is a disarmament treaty that bans biological weapons by prohibiting development, production, acquisition, transfer, stockpiling and use. The Pentagon and CIA evaded the terms of that treaty even though it was ratified by the Senate and took effect in 1975. Once again, DoD and CIA ignored it by hiding their research programs with a screen of top-secret classifications and by stonewalling inquiries.

Two-Fifths of Keir Starmer’s Cabinet Have Been Funded by Pro-Israel Lobbyists.

As Labour refuses to join calls for a ceasefire in Gaza, Declassified reveals the extent to which the shadow cabinet, including Starmer himself, has been financed by a pro-Israel lobby group and an individual funder.

Some 13 of the 31 members of Labour’s shadow cabinet have received donations from a prominent pro-Israel lobby group or individual funder, it can be revealed.

The list of recipients includes party leader Keir Starmer, his deputy Angela Rayner, shadow foreign secretary David Lammy, and even the former vice-chair of Labour Friends of Palestine, Lisa Nandy, who is now shadow international development minister.

These donations were provided by Labour Friends of Israel (LFI), a pro-Israel lobby group which takes MPs on “fact-finding” missions to the region, and Sir Trevor Chinn, a multi-millionaire business tycoon and long-time pro-Israel lobbyist.

More than half of Starmer’s shadow cabinet are listed as parliamentary supporters or officers of LFI.

The group was established in 1957 to “act as a bridge linking [Israeli Prime Minister David Ben Gurion’s party] Mapai… with the Labour Movement in Great Britain”.

It has since described itself as “a Westminster-based lobby group working within the British Labour Party to promote the State of Israel”.

Labour Friends of Israel

LFI does not disclose its funders but was revealed during an undercover Al Jazeera documentary in 2017 to have close relations with the Israeli embassy in London.

The organisation’s parliamentary officer, for instance, admitted on camera that LFI and the Israeli embassy “work really closely together, but a lot of it is behind the scenes”.

One of LFI’s main activities is to fund Labour MPs to go on “fact-finding” missions to Israel.

Declassified has found that since 2002, LFI has contributed over £150,000 towards such activities. Between 2001 and 2009, LFI took more Labour MPs on trips abroad than any other lobby group.

A further recipient of travel funds is shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves, who is currently a parliamentary vice-chair of LFI.

The value of the trips for the members of the shadow cabinet amounts to over £17,000, with additional expenses in Israel frequently covered by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

LFI has also donated to Wayne David, the shadow foreign minister for the Middle East and North Africa.

Houthis Hold Funeral for 17 Killed in Recent US and British Strikes

CENTCOM announced more strikes on Yemen on Saturday

The Houthis held a funeral on Saturday for 17 of its members who were killed by recent US and British strikes on Yemen.

“In a dignified funeral procession, the bodies of several martyrs of the nation, armed forces, and security forces who were martyred in the American-British aggression airstrikes, were mourned,” Yemen’s Saba news agency reported.

According to Turkey’s Anadolu Agency, the announcement of the funeral marks the second time the Houthis reported fatalities in the US and British bombings since they started. After the first round was launched on January 12, the Houthis said five of its members were killed.

Since January 12, the US has launched around 30 rounds of missile strikes on Yemen. Some have been single unilateral US strikes, while in other cases, the US and Britain have joined together to launch heavier bombings to hit dozens of targets. The strikes have been launched from both fighter jets and warships in the Red Sea.

US Central Command announced on Saturday that it launched more strikes in Yemen, claiming to target Houthi missile and drones that were deemed a threat. “On Feb. 10, between 4 – 5 pm, (Sanaa time), US Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully conducted self-defense strikes against two unmanned surface vessels (USV) and three mobile anti-ship cruise missiles (ASCM) north of Hodeidah, Yemen,” the command said.

The new US war against the Houthis has done nothing to deter the Yemeni group. The Houthis, officially known as Ansar Allah, have vowed they won’t stop targeting Israel-linked shipping in the Red Sea until the slaughter in Gaza comes to an end. They also began targeting American and British commercial shipping once the US and UK started the bombing campaign.

President Biden previously acknowledged that strikes against the Houthis weren’t working but vowed they would continue anyway. “Are they stopping the Houthis? No. Are they going to continue? Yes,” he said.

The US backed a Saudi/UAE-led coalition against the Houthis in a brutal war that killed 377,000 people between 2015 and 2022. During that time, the Houthis only became a more formidable fighting force and developed missile and drone technology that gave them the ability to hit Saudi oil infrastructure. A ceasefire between the Saudis and Houthis has held relatively well since April 2022, but new US sanctions are now blocking the implementation of a peace deal.

Hamas's al-Qassam Brigades claims three hostages killed in Israeli airstrikes

Hamas said that they would share further details of the alleged hostage deaths once "the fate of the rest of the wounded becomes clear."

Hamas's armed wing claimed on Monday that three of eight Israeli hostages who were seriously injured following Israeli airstrikes had died from their wounds.

"The al-Qassam Brigades announce the killing of three of the eight Zionist detainees who we announced yesterday were seriously injured in the barbaric Zionist raids on the Gaza Strip," the Al Qassam Brigades said on Hamas's Telegram channel. "We will postpone announcing the names and photos of the dead for days to come until the fate of the rest of the wounded becomes clear."

Information shared by Hamas on the hostages is generally considered to be unreliable and a part of Hamas's psychological warfare. In the past, Hamas has claimed the death of a hostage who was later released as part of a ceasefire agreement.

HUNDREDS KILLED AND WOUNDED IN ISRAELI PROVOCATIVE STRIKES ON “QUALITY TARGETS” IN RAFAH (18+)

On the night of February 12, Israel launched massive airstrikes on the crowded city of Rafah in the south of Gaza Strip, where more than a million displaced Palestinians have fled. According to the latest reports, the deaths toll from Israeli bombing has already exceeded 100 people, while more than 230 others were wounded.

The Israeli military claimed early Monday that it had conducted a “wave of attacks” on Rafah. According to the official report, the airstrikes on some “quality targets” were over at about 3 a.m. local time.

The Israeli military later declared that the strikes ”coincided” with a joint operation by the Israel Defence Force (IDF), Israel’s domestic Shin Bet security service and the Special Police Unit in Rafah aimed to release two Israeli hostages. Fernando Simon Marman, 60, and Louis Hare, 70, who were captured by Palestinian fighters during the October 7 attack on Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak. As a result of the Israeli operation last night, they were taken back to Israel. According to the Israeli military, the hostages were being held on the second floor of a building that was breached with an explosive charge during the raid, which saw heavy exchanges of gunfire with surrounding buildings. Now, they are in good medical condition, and were transferred for medical examination at the Sheba Tel Hashomer hospital.

Hamas declared that the attack on Rafah was a continuation of a “genocidal war” and forced displacement attempts Israel has waged against the Palestinian people. The day before, Hamas leader warned that any Israeli ground offensive in Rafah would “blow up” the hostage-exchange negotiations.

Egypt was also not pleased by Israeli attack on the border city. Egyptian politicians called the bombing “crossing all borders” and “blatant ignoring of Egypt’s interests.” Since the beginning of the Israeli operations in the Palestinian enclave, the population of the city of Rafah located on the southern border of the Gaza Strip increased more than 10 times, posing the greater threat to the security of the Egyptian borders. The Egyptian authorities are concerned that refugee flows may break through the border and pour into Egypt.

“Egypt called for the necessity of uniting all international and regional efforts to prevent the targeting of the Palestinian city of Rafah,” Egyptian foreign ministry claimed on February 11.

Cairo warned Israel of the consequences if the IDF launches an operation in Rafah, threatening Israel to break the Camp David Accords signed back in 1979. Egypt may respond with severance of all diplomatic relations with Tel Aviv.

At the moment, Cairo continues to strengthen the border fences, and has also transferred tanks and infantry fighting vehicles to the border area.

To combat this, the WEF is pushing for mass euthanasia to eliminate those who are not contributing to the “new world order” so that the wealthy elite can live the quality of life they expect.

Over the years, the depopulation plot was buried in all sorts of deceptive narratives ranging from “climate change” and holes in the ozone layer to simple messaging that people are having “too many” babies for the planet to handle.

In all of the narratives, the true underlying goal was always the same: mass depopulation.

British documents reveal Israeli plans to nullify Egyptian sovereignty over strategic Sinai Peninsula

The story of Israel’s ambitious plan to grab the Sinai Peninsula, or at least part of it, from Egypt, goes back to around 57 years ago. It involved pro-Israel lobbyists in the West, and started to raise questions about the legitimacy of Egypt’s sovereignty over the strategic territory after the June 1967 Six Day War, British documents unearthed at the National Archives in Kew reveal.

During the war, Israel occupied Sinai, along with the West Bank and Gaza in Palestine, as well as the Syrian Golan Heights. The Sinai Peninsula covers an area of about 61,000 square km, approximately six per cent of Egypt’s total area, and is equivalent to nearly a quarter of the area of Israel.

The documents show that although Britain’s position was that Egyptian sovereignty over Sinai was evident, it considered the judicial status of this sovereignty a “card” to use when it served British interests. Ever since the 1967 war, they reveal, the Israelis “have from time to time flown a number of exploratory kites on the future of Sinai.”

Pro-Israel British and Western lobbies asked questions about the legitimacy of Egypt’s claim to the territory. Two years after the Israeli occupation of Sinai, the Jewish Observer and Middle East Review, the then official publication of the Zionist Federation of Britain, published an article with a front-cover caption of “Sinai without the Egyptians — a new look at the past, present and future”.

This campaign prompted a discussion in the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (the FCO, now called the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) about the issue. What the British understood from the campaign was that the Israelis wanted to promote their case as follows: “Since the greater part of the [British] Mandated Territory is now incorporated in the State of Israel, Sinai should of right be regarded as Israeli territory.”

Israel and its lobbies argued that since Sinai properly belonged to Turkiye up to 1923, it should have become part of the Mandated Territory of Palestine at the end of the First World War and shouldn’t have been left under Egyptian control. The FCO didn’t accept this claim.

In a commissioned paper, the Middle East Section of the FCO Research Department refuted all five arguments of Israel and its supporters, which were:

Sovereignty over Sinai remained with the Turks up to 1923, and Sinai was at no time an integral part of the Khedivate [of Egypt].

The frontier was drawn as the result of force majeure exercised by Great Britain as the occupying power.

GB refused all Turkish offers of compromise, and the frontier was pushed even further east than the Egyptians themselves would have accepted.

Sinai belongs properly to Asia and the Arabian Peninsula and the United Arab Republic [Egypt], as an African power, has no place in it.

Sinai is of importance to Israel as the scene of liberation from Egyptian tyranny in the 13th century BC and forms a similar threat of destruction in the present era.

Based on these arguments, the Israelis wanted to convince the British that “[Egypt’s] claims to possess Sinai must be regarded as doubtful and indeed as less enduring than that of Israel.”

After a detailed review of the history and legal agreements, the paper stressed that in 1906 an “administrative line” was agreed as an established boundary, so the Turks “could be said to have preserved their sovereign rights over Sinai.”

The Western press are just printing straight up Nazi propaganda about Middle Easterners now

To this day it’s understood by the mainstream press that it’s unacceptable to depict anyone of the Jewish faith as any kind of puppet-master figure in any context at all. Fox News, the Dutch paper De Volkskrant, the Indian Bharatiya Janata Party and right wing political cartoonist Ben Garrison have all come under fire in recent years for depicting Jewish people in that way, so it’s safe to say that if The Guardian had published a similar cartoon about Israeli influence featuring an Israeli leader it would have been a massive scandal subject to international outcry.

In fact the bar is quite a bit lower for what qualifies as an outrageous racist trope when it comes to criticism of Israel. Mainstream platforms like The Guardian, The New York Times and the Sunday Times have been pressured to remove cartoons critical of Israel which are far less clearly anti-semitic than cartoons about sinister puppet masters. In 2014 the Sydney Morning Herald was pressured to remove and apologise for a cartoon which was labeled anti-semitic because it featured “a grotesque stereotype of a Jew using a remote-control device to blow up houses and people in Gaza,” something that for the last four months has been a daily occurrence and an objective fact of life.

There is zero chance that The Guardian’s editors would have even for a second entertained the idea of publishing such a cartoon about Israeli leaders in the year 2024, but apparently publishing the exact same sort of rehashed Nazi propaganda about Iranian leaders is perfectly fine.

New York Times columnist Tom Friedman, who has never met a middle eastern war that didn’t physically arouse him, was somehow permitted to publish an article titled “Understanding the Middle East Through the Animal Kingdom” which compares middle easterners to insects and parasites.

There is of course no meaningful analysis in Friedman’s piece; he’s literally just comparing countries he likes to cool animals and countries he doesn’t like to yucky bugs. Hamas is a spider. Iran is a “parasitoid wasp”, and Lebanon, Yemen, Syria and Iraq are the caterpillars it lays its eggs in. Netanyahu is a lemur, hopping side to side based on the political demands of the moment, and the United States? You guys, get this: the United States is a lion. Rooooar!

Again, there is no mainstream western outlet in existence who would permit a columnist to compare Israelis to insects or parasites, and rightly so — it’s exactly the type of dehumanising language was used by the Nazis to pave the way to the Holocaust. But comparing Muslim populations is a-okay in the eyes of the western press.

“We have no counterstrategy that safely and efficiently kills the wasp without setting fire to the whole jungle,” Friedman writes, as though this is a perfectly sane and normal thing to print in the most influential newspaper in the western world.

“Sometimes I contemplate the Middle East by watching CNN. Other times, I prefer Animal Planet,” Friedman concludes, apparently never having been told that contemplating the middle east by watching either is an embarrassing admission.

And that’s it. That’s the extent of the analysis here from mister Thomas L Friedman, who has won no fewer than three Pulitzers for this kind of baby-brained schtick. And if that isn’t an indictment of the state of western journalism, nothing is.

Not to be outdone, The Wall Street Journal has published an article by Steven Stalinsky titled “Welcome to Dearborn, America’s Jihad Capital” about the Michigan city which is home to the largest per capita Muslim population in the United States.

In the last few days The Wall Street Journal has also published editorial board pieces with demented headlines like “Chicago Votes for Hamas” after the Chicago City Council voted to support a ceasefire in Gaza, and “The U.N.’s War on Israel” about the since-discredited narrative that some UNRWA staff are known to have participated in the October 7 attack.

Iraq to DITCH U.S. dollar for oil trades, joining growing dedollarization trend

In an effort to dodge ongoing United States sanctions against its banking system, the finance committee of the parliament of Iraq wants all oil sales from here on out to be transacted in currencies other than the Federal Reserve Notes, also known as the U.S. dollar.

The committee released a statement chastising the U.S. government for making up excuses to sanction Iraq’s banking system in order to obstruct the stability of Iraq’s financial system at large.

“The U.S. Treasury still uses the pretext of money laundering to impose sanctions on Iraqi banks,” the statement reads. “This requires a national stance to put an end to these arbitrary decisions.”

“Imposing sanctions on Iraqi banks undermines and obstructs Central Bank efforts to stabilize the dollar exchange rate and reduce the selling gap between official and parallel rates.”

Iraq’s finance committee had previously called on both its government and central bank to take swift measures against U.S. dollar dominance by diversifying its cash reserves from foreign currencies. It reaffirmed this call on January 31, adding that the Iraqi government needs to take action immediately due to the repercussions of all this on the livelihoods of Iraqi citizens.

Iraq wants the U.S. gone from its borders

The call comes after Washington imposed sanctions on Iraq’s Al-Huda Bank for allegedly laundering money for Iran. Similar sanctions were imposed on other Iraqi institutions over the past year based on the same allegations.

A top U.S. Treasury official issued a declaration around the same time that it expects Baghdad to assist in locating and sabotaging the financial resources of various resistance groups in Iraq that are funded by Iran.

“These are, as a whole, groups that are actively using and abusing Iraq and its financial systems and structure to perpetuate these acts and we have to address that directly,” the official claimed in a statement.

“Frankly, I think it is our expectation from a Treasury perspective that there is more we can do together to share information and identify exactly how these militia groups are operating here in Iraq.”

Doxxing is commonly defined as publishing a person's private details, including names, addresses, emails and phone numbers with the intent of causing harm, such as harassment.

Pro-Palestinian advocates who shared the transcript from the WhatsApp group have defended the move as being in the public interest and rejected the suggestion it was doxxing. They argue personal details beyond names were largely redacted.

Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus said the laws would fold into already-planned changes to privacy laws.

"The increasing use of online platforms to harm people through the malicious release of their personal and private information is a deeply disturbing development," he said.

"The recent targeting of members of the Australian Jewish community through doxxing was shocking, but sadly a far from isolated event."

The laws are expected to be tailored to avoid impacting public-interest journalism.
