Ukraine forces are in retreat and the war is going badly from NATO's perspective, Biden's $60+ billion for Kiev is halted in the House, and the Democratic incumbent's reelection chances are looking grim in November. And as if confirming there's no light at the end of the tunnel, Victoria Nuland is stepping down as Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States.

The State Department announced Tuesday morning she is retiring. The Associated Press announcement interestingly enough underscores her hawkish legacy on Russia and Ukraine. "Victoria Nuland, the third-highest ranking U.S. diplomat and frequent target of criticism for her hawkish views on Russia and its actions in Ukraine, will leave her post this month, the State Department said Tuesday," it wrote.

Her boss Antony Blinken said something a bit ironic on the occasion of unveiling her departure: "But it’s Toria’s leadership on Ukraine that diplomats and students of foreign policy will study for years to come."

Indeed, many already know her as Victoria-'Fuck the EU'-Nuland and for essentially running foreign policy in Europe, stretching back through the Obama years as then Assistant Secretary of State for Europe, where many of the problems which sparked the disastrous and tragic Russia-Ukraine war were first set in motion.

According to more praise from Secretary Blinken:

"Her efforts have been indispensable to confronting Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, marshaling a global coalition to ensure his strategic failure, and helping Ukraine work toward the day when it will be able to stand strongly on its own feet – democratically, economically, and militarily."

Of course, Blinken's boldly declaring Russia's "strategic failure" seems a bit forced and premature (to put it mildly), considering too that even from a propaganda angle leading NATO countries are currently very much on the defensive. Things simply aren't going well in NATO-land, by many accounts.

Even The Guardian is now singing a very different tune, listing off serious policy failures and disasters for the West:

Western Europe has no conceivable interest in escalating the Ukraine war through a long-range missile exchange. While it should sustain its logistical support for Ukrainian forces, it has no strategic interest in Kyiv’s desire to drive Russia out of the majority Russian-speaking areas of Crimea or Donbas. It has every interest in assiduously seeking an early settlement and starting the rebuilding of Ukraine.

As for the west’s “soft power” sanctions on Russia, they have failed miserably, disrupting the global trading economy in the process. Sanctions may be beloved of western diplomats and thinktanks. They may even hurt someone – not least Britain’s energy users – but they have not devastated the Russian economy or changed Putin’s mind. This year Russia’s growth rate is expected to exceed Britain’s.

"Treason!": Bombshell Report Reveals Biden Has Secretly Flown 320,000 Illegals INTO The United States

A Freedom of Information Act lawsuit has revealed that the Biden administration has flown at least 320,000 migrants into the United States in an effort to reduce the number of crossings at the southern border, according to Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies.

"The program at the center of the FOIA litigation is perhaps the most enigmatic and least-known of the Biden administration’s uses of the CBP One cellphone scheduling app, even though it is responsible for almost invisibly importing by air 320,000 aliens with no legal right to enter the United States since it got underway in late 2022," wrote Bensman.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) had initially refused to disclose information about the flights, which use a cell phone app, CBP One, to arrange.

"Under these legally dubious parole programs, aliens who cannot legally enter the country use the CBP One app to apply for travel authorization and temporary humanitarian release from those airports. The parole program allows for two-year periods of legal status during which adults are eligible for work authorization," Bensman continues.

The flights resulted in illegal immigrants being placed in at least 43 American cities from January through December 2023.

Under the terms of their release, migrants are able to remain in the US for two years without obtaining legal status, and are meanwhile eligible for work authorization.

The Biden administration initially refused to disclose which airports undocumented aliens were being flown into, citing a 'law enforcement exception,' new information reveals that the government thought 'bad actors' might pose a safety risk or create law enforcement opportunities - with CBP lawyers writing that revealing the specific airports would "reveal information about the relative number of individuals arriving, and thus resources expended at particular airports."

The era of Western domination has ended and a new world order is emerging, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said. He added that Budapest will maintain its independent path despite increasing pressure to align itself with larger blocs.

The Hungarian prime minister has been a vocal critic of Western policies on the Ukraine conflict, denouncing the sanctions on Russia as counterproductive and weapons deliveries to Kiev as dangerous and escalatory. Budapest has also called on the belligerents to negotiate an end to the hostilities to avoid further bloodshed.

Speaking at an annual ambassadorial meeting on Tuesday, Orban said that the general consensus now is that Western hegemony is over, according to the news agency MTI. He urged Hungarian diplomats to constantly monitor and analyze evolving trends as a new world order takes shape.

Orban said that his country, while being part of the European Union and NATO, would continue to pursue sovereign policies. He explained that rigid geopolitical groupings leave too “little room for maneuver” for nations such as Hungary.

On Monday, Orban described the Ukraine conflict as a “proxy war,” claiming that “everyone” understands this and that the West has no chance of winning it. To support his assertion, he cited Ukraine’s heavy dependence on foreign defense aid.

According to the Hungarian leader, “there is only one solution: peace negotiations must begin sooner or later,” and involve the US in some capacity. He also criticized the EU’s failure to seize on the opportunity to seal a peace deal between Kiev and Moscow early in the conflict, according to Russia’s TASS.

Over the weekend, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto warned that the “later a ceasefire is called and negotiations begin, the worse it will be for Ukraine.”

Last month, Orban reportedly told members of his ruling Fidesz-KDNP parliamentary faction that in light of the growing financial burden on European nations owing to the Ukraine conflict “almost nobody believes” Kiev will win.

Meta Hit with Global Outage – Facebook, Instagram Down – Hacking Fears… IS THIS A TEST RUN?

Meta was hit with a global outage on Tuesday morning.

Facebook, Instagram and Threads were down for users across the globe, according to Downdetector. Facebook Messenger was also down.

Some users reported their accounts have been hacked.

Meta Communications spox Andy Stone said the social media giant is aware of the problem and working to resolve issues.

Meta’s platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, went down for thousands of users on Tuesday.

As many as 500,000 Facebook users had reported issues logging in or accessing the site as of mid-morning Eastern Time on Tuesday, according to outage tracker Downdetector. Around 50,000 outage reports had been issued regarding Instagram and another 10,000 for Facebook Messenger, although the number of reports had already begun to fall within an hour after they began.

Some users found they had been logged out of their Facebook accounts. Others got notifications on Instagram that “something went wrong” and their feeds could not be loaded.

Threads, Meta’s competitor to Elon Musk’s X, also went down and showed users a popup that said “Something went wrong, please try again later” in place of their feed.

ICC issues arrest warrants for top Russian military commanders

The Hague-based institution, which is not recognized by Moscow, has targeted the two men over alleged war crimes

The Hague-based International Criminal Court (ICC) on Tuesday issued arrest warrants for Lieutenant-General Sergey Kobylash and Admiral Viktor Sokolov, accusing the two top Russian military commanders of committing war crimes amid the Ukrainian conflict.

The two top officers, serving as the commanders of Russia’s Long-Range Aviation and Black Sea Fleet respectively, are accused of committing “the war crime of directing attacks at civilian objects,” causing “excessive incidental harm to civilians,” as well as perpetrating a “crime against humanity,” the ICC said in a press release.

The alleged crimes are said to have taken place during a campaign of missile strikes “against the Ukrainian electric infrastructure from at least 10 October 2022 until at least 9 March 2023,” the court claimed.

The Hague-based tribunal has repeatedly taken hostile steps against Moscow amid the Ukraine conflict, most notably by issuing an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin last spring. Putin is accused of “unlawful deportation” of Ukrainian children to Russia.

Moscow has rebuffed the ICC claims, stating that the children in question were merely evacuated form the warzone, and could be returned to Ukraine should their legal guardians request it. Russia has also taken retaliatory steps against the ICC itself, launching a criminal case against the court’s principal prosecutor and judges, ultimately issuing arrest warrants against them.

Like many other countries, including the US, Moscow does not recognize the authority of the Hague-based tribunal and its actions have no legal validity in Russia. The body has been repeatedly accused of being Eurocentric and biased towards the West.

Attorney General Merrick Garland Vows to Fight Voter ID Laws: ‘Disadvantage Minorities’

Attorney General Merrick Garland has vowed to fight voter ID laws, which he characterized as a plot to “disadvantage minorities.”

Appearing alongside Vice President Kamala Harris in Selma, Alabama, on Sunday, Garland called voter ID laws and other voter integrity laws “discriminatory, burdensome, and unnecessary.” The two were speaking at an event commemorating the fifty-ninth anniversary of the Bloody Sunday attacks on civil rights marchers in Selma.

Garland recalled the history of voting rights for black Americans since the end of slavery, which he said has “never been steady” into the present day, charging that voter ID laws have made it harder “for millions of eligible voters to vote and to elect the representatives of their choice.”

Garland said at Selma’s Tabernacle Baptist Church:

Those measures include practices and procedures that make voting more difficult; redistricting maps that disadvantage minorities; and changes in voting administration that diminish the authority of locally elected or nonpartisan election administrators.

“Such measures threaten the foundation of our system of government,” he added.

Garland said that he has increased the number of lawyers working in the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division, referring to voter integrity laws as “discriminatory, burdensome, and unnecessary restrictions on access to the ballot, including those related to mail-in voting, the use of drop boxes, and voter ID requirements.”

German Military Leak Reveals British Soldiers Are in Ukraine Helping Fire Storm Shadow Missiles

German military officers were also discussing how Taurus missiles could destroy the Kerch Bridge

British soldiers are “on the ground” in Ukraine helping Ukrainian forces fire Storm Shadow missiles, according to a leaked recording of a conversation between German military officers that was published by Russian media.

Germany confirmed the authenticity of the recording, and the British did not dispute the claim. The UK confirmed last week that it had a “small number” of troops inside Ukraine who are “supporting the armed forces of Ukraine.”

The UK first started shipping Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine last year, which marked a significant escalation of NATO support since they have a range of 155 miles, further than any other NATO-provided missile. France has also provided Ukraine with a French variant of the Storm Shadow, known as the Scalp missile, but doesn’t have troops helping with targeting on the ground, according to the leaked recording.

In the recording, Lt. Gen. Ingo Gerhartz, the head of the German Air Force (Luftwaffe), described how the British assist Ukraine. “When it comes to mission planning, I know how the English do it, they do it completely in reachback. They also have a few people on the ground, they do that, the French don’t.”

Gerhartz was discussing the possibility of Germany providing Ukraine with Taurus missiles, which would double Ukraine’s strike capabilities as they can hit targets up to 300 miles away. In the conversation, the officers say Taurus missiles could likely be used to blow up the Kerch Bridge, which connects Crimea to the Russian mainland and has been attacked twice by Ukraine.

The Kremlin said that the leaked conversation “makes it clear that plans to carry out strikes inside Russia are under discussion” within the German military.

The leaked recording came after German Chancellor Olaf Scholz suggested British and French troops were inside Ukraine. He made the comments while explaining his reasoning for not supplying Ukraine with the Taurus missiles, saying it would require a German troop presence to match the level of British and French support for Ukraine’s use of the Storm Shadows.

Scholz also said providing that kind of support would make Germany a direct party to the conflict since the Taurus missiles have such a long range and can be used to hit targets deep inside Russia.

The leaked recording also comes after French President Emmanuel Macron stirred an uproar by saying sending NATO troops to Ukraine shouldn’t be ruled out despite the obvious risk of a direct Russia-NATO war, which could quickly turn nuclear. His comments highlighted the fact that the presence of NATO special operations forces inside Ukraine has been an open secret.

Last year, the Discord leaks revealed that as of March 2023, 97 NATO special operations soldiers were inside Ukraine, including 14 Americans, 50 British soldiers, 15 French troops, 17 soldiers from Latvia, and one from the Netherlands.

It has been a year since Anthony Fauci confessed that covid vaccines could never have worked and it is still being ignored

More than a year ago, Anthony Fauci co-authored a paper that admitted the covid vaccines didn’t work as claimed. A fact that was previously dismissed as misinformation.

In 2021 Joe Biden was sworn in as president and Fauci became his chief medical adviser. At Fauci’s first press briefing, he alluded to his difficulties with President Donald Trump, noting that it was “liberating” to be able to talk freely about science. Fauci subsequently helped develop the Biden administration’s plan for the nationwide rollout of the vaccine and made numerous public appearances to dispel any safety concerns about the medicine. In 2022 Fauci retired as Biden’s chief medical adviser and as director of the NIAID.

MASSIVE DRONE ATTACK STRUCK ODESSA REGION

On the night of March 5, the Russian Armed Forces launched multiple strikes on the Ukrainian military facilities. Russian strikes destroyed targets in the eastern regions in the rear areas, including in Volchansk in the Kharkiv region and in Pokrovsk and Slavyansk areas in the DPR; but the main direction of the Russian strikes was the Odessa region, which came under one of the most massive attacks.

Last night, the largest number of strikes was recorded in the Odessa region. Despite the claims by the Ukrainian Air Forces about the downing of 18 out of the 22 kamikaze drones “Geran-2”, numerous explosions thundered in the Odessa region. The targets included the port infrastructure, air defense/electronic warfare equipment and points of accommodation of Ukrainian servicemen and foreign fighters. In total, Russian strikes were confirmed in at least seven areas.

Russian drones struck the following targets in the Odessa region:

Sea Port in Yuzhny and Sea Port in Odessa, which are used for shipment of military cargo, including ammunition and drones. The strikes are launched amid the increased activity of foreign bulk carriers in the Black Sea.

The Gidroport airfield located on the outskirts of the village of Naberezhnoe, where a mobile NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system was reportedly destroyed.

At least two Russian UAVs struck the building of the neurological department of the Hadjibey Sanatorium for children located in the village of Usatovo. The facility was used for accommodation of one of the newly created brigades of the Ukrainian territorial defense. According to unconfirmed reports, at least 13 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and wounded as a result of the strike.

Russian strikes in Chernomorskoe (Chabanka) reportedly destroyed the temporary deployment point of the 28th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces and the hangars with unmanned boats.

Explosions also thundered in the village of Kotovsky.

In an attempt to protect the military facilities in the region, the Ukrainian air defense systems deployed in Odessa launched strikes from the city limits, posing threat to the local civilian population.

Former Trump Org CFO Pleads Guilty To Perjury In Connection With NY Civil Business Fraud Case

Allen Weisselberg, the former chief financial officer for the Trump Organization, pleaded guilty on Monday to perjury, admitting that he lied to investigators in former President Donald Trump’s civil business fraud case in New York.

Weisselberg pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree perjury, both felonies, at the Manhattan Criminal Court, the New York Post reported. He will serve a five-month prison sentence as part of his plea deal, and a sentencing hearing is set to take place on April 10.

During the Monday hearing, the 76-year-old former CFO admitted that he lied during deposition testimonies in July 2020 and May 2023 and while on the stand during the trial on October 10, 2023. Specifically, Weisselberg lied to investigators about when he knew the former president had inflated the size of his Midtown Trump Tower triplex.

According to the plea agreement, Weisselberg claimed a 2017 Forbes article had led to his discovery that Trump had said the 11,000-square-foot triplex was nearly three times larger, but Forbes had a tape of Weisselberg being told the actual size of the building before the article was published, the Post reported. Evidence also showed that Weisselberg was told about the inflated size of the triplex in a 2012 email.

In Weisselberg’s plea deal, he agreed to only plead guilty to charges related to his 2020 testimony, and prosecutors promised they would not charge him with other potential crimes related to his work with the Trump Organization, the Associated Press reported. Weisselberg spent 100 days behind bars last year after pleading guilty to tax evasion.

Last year, New York Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat, charged Trump and Weisselberg, among others, for scheming to deceive banks and insurers about the former president’s wealth. Judge Arthur Engoron sided with James and the prosecution last month, ordering Trump to pay $350 million, which has increased to $454 million including interest, and barring Trump and his sons from running their business in New York for two to three years.

The bail-in relief was legalized in the U.S. following the 2007–2008 financial crisis in which banks deemed “too big to fail” were bailed out by the U.S. government. The specific section of Dodd-Frank that deals with bail-ins is Title II: Orderly Liquidation Authority (OLA).

US embassy staffer found dead in Israel

US Embassy says ‘foul play not suspected’ in employee’s death

An American staffer at the US Embassy in Israel was found dead, the embassy said on Monday.

"We can confirm the death of an American employee of the US Embassy in Jerusalem,” an embassy spokesperson said in a brief statement.

“Foul play is not suspected. We have no further details to share," the spokesperson added, without providing any details about the circumstances of the employee’s death.

There was no comment yet from Israeli authorities on the report.

US State Department has also confirmed the death of the "direct hire employee" of the Embassy and did not to provide more information on the identity of the employee due to privacy considerations.

"I can confirm the death of a direct hiring employee of the US Embassy in Jerusalem. There's not much more I can say at this point due to privacy considerations," Spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters during his briefing.

Miller declined to provide further information as there are steps to undertake including next kin notification.

The US in 2018 moved its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, in a move not followed by most of the international community.
