John Kirby [White House press conference]: There's not going to be US troops on the ground, fighting inside Ukraine. And you know what? President Zelenskyy isn't asking for that. He's just asking for the tools and capabilities. He's never asked for foreign troops to fight for his country.
Jean-Pierre: [Biden] has been working on the State Of The Union address for the past several days. I'm not going to get into any specifics as to who was with him…he's gonna be working on it, I believe until the very last minute, so he gets it just right.
ARIZONA: "Independent Senator Kyrsten Sinema announced Tuesday that she will not run for re-election this year, leaving the Senate after one term that saw her paint Arizona blue, leave the Democratic Party and play a key role in numerous legislative negotiations in a tightly divided Senate. Sinema’s decision paves the way for a tough and expensive fight for her seat, though it will be more straightforward than the messy three-way contest she would have prompted by staying in. The leading Republican, 2022 gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, and the leading Democrat, Rep. Ruben Gallego, are already running hard to replace Sinema. Sinema’s decision comes as her prospects of victory appeared dim if she ran. Polling on the race is sparse, but surveys have consistently shown Sinema in third place in a hypothetical three-way contest featuring Gallego and Lake. It was unclear which candidate she would have pulled more support from."

Reporter: [Biden] had note cards at the border when he was doing his briefing there. He also had note cards last Friday with the Italian Prime Minister. Why does [Biden] rely so heavily on note cards?
Jean-Pierre: You're upset because [Biden] has note cards? You're asking me a question about [Biden] having note cards? [Biden], who has had a, probably one of the most successful three years of an administration than any modern-day president; he's done more in the first three years than most presidents who had two terms. You're asking me about note cards? I think what's important here, and what the American people care about, is how [Biden] is delivering for them. And that's what he's doing. And that's what's the most important thing here.
Mr. Biden: The good news is inflation is the lowest it's been in three years…we have one of the lowest inflation rates in the world.
Mr. Biden: Many corporations are…charging more, for less and less. In fact, some of the small snack companies think you won't even notice what they're doing, when they charge you just as much for the same size bag of potato chips, only it has a hell of a lot fewer chips in it. I'll tell you who did notice. Cookie Monster. He pointed out cookies are; his cookies are getting smaller. Paying the same price. I was stunned when I found out that's what actually happened.
Cole [Rules Committee Hearing]: The Laken Riley Act will require the Department of Homeland Security issue a detainer, and take into custody, aliens who commit burglary, theft, larceny, or shoplifting. It also gives states the authority to bring civil cases against the federal government for failure to enforce immigration laws.
