Historically, the American Revolution woukd have been better to go with than the civil war. The colonials did revolt.
In the civil war, the confederate states just wanted to leave the union (like Brexit) but the north wouldn’t let them.
Not really an insurrection when you just want to leave the party and the host pulls a gun.
