My late father used to work, side by side, with John Kerry at the Middlesex County, Massachusetts District Attorney's Office under District Attorney John Droney.
My Dad loved D.A. Droney but absolutely HATED John Kerry.
Dad used to come home from work complaining about how Kerry took the job only as a stepping stool into government.
Kerry, according to my Dad, was utterly useless as an attorney, pawned his tasks off to others in the office (usually my Dad), and took credit for other people's work (usually my Dad's).
I was a shallow kid and would say, "but Dad, he kinda looks like Senator [Ted] Kennedy, and you love that guy, so what's the problem?"
My father would say, "some day, when you grow up, I'll explain it to you."
And then, one day, my Dad did.
My Dad knew, in the 1970s, that Kerry was as big of a piece of shit as we've all seen him turn out to be.
