BREAKING: 🇺🇸🇮🇷 The US will not interfere if Iran attacks Israel

Through a series of messages exchanged via third parties, the United States and Iran have come to an understanding.

Iran assured the Americans it will not target U.S. facilities, and in turn the U.S. says it will not get involved if Iran retaliates against Israel.

Israel carried out the attack on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, without consulting the United States.

Boston hospital to scale back on child abuse and neglect reports that can perpetuate 'structural racism'

'Black pregnant people are more likely to be drug tested and to be reported to child welfare systems than white pregnant people,' Mass General Brigham said

A Boston, Massachusetts, hospital announced Tuesday that after finding Black mothers were more likely to be reported for child abuse and neglect if a toxicology report came back positive, it would be taking steps to reevaluate the process in order to avoid perpetuating "structural racism."

"Black pregnant people are more likely to be drug tested and to be reported to child welfare systems than white pregnant people," said Mass General Brigham, a nonprofit health care system.

"As a part of our United Against Racism effort to achieve health equity for patients and communities across our system, we… are addressing policies that may unwittingly perpetuate structural racism," Mass General stated.

The announcement pertained to pregnant women who are using drugs, which may show up in fetal testing.

"Substance use disorder (SUD) is a condition with significant racial and ethnic inequities, especially in the context of pregnancy, when more punitive approaches to substance use disproportionately affect Black individuals," the announcement said.

In order to alleviate the inequity, as the hospital sees it, Mass General will "update policies that automatically trigger mandatory filings with child welfare agencies when a pregnant individual is engaged in treatment for substance use disorder, absent any other concerns for potential abuse or neglect."

The automatic trigger policy for drug-using mothers "disproportionately impact patients from historically marginalized populations," the hospital stated.

The new policy says reports "after delivery should be filed only if there is reasonable cause to believe that the infant is suffering or at imminent risk of suffering physical or emotional injury and that ‘substance exposure’ alone, including treatment with methadone or buprenorphine for opioid use disorder, does not require a report of abuse or neglect in the absence of protective concerns for the infant."

"The updated policy reflects our focus on providing safe and equitable care for all patients. The process allowed us to turn our lens inward to understand our own contributions to stigma and inequity and strive to fix them," said Allison Bryant, MD, MPH, the associate chief health equity officer at Mass General Brigham.

The hospital said its new policy is in line with medical recommendations from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), which opposes drug testing of individuals or infants without consent and discourages "the separation of parents from their children solely based on substance use disorder, either suspected or confirmed."

Another doctor at the institution said the new policies are based on "sound science."

"It takes a multi-pronged approach to eliminate racial inequities and drop barriers to treatment, and we will continue to enhance access through our comprehensive SUD programming throughout our organization," said Dr. Sarah Wakeman, a senior medical director for Substance Use Disorder at Mass General Brigham.

"This policy reflects an emerging consensus, based on sound science, that is being embraced by our peer institutions and was developed in coordination with a wide range of partners," Wakeman added.

Massachusetts General Brigham

A spokesperson for the hospital told Fox News Digital, "Mass General Brigham bases its policies on the latest science and established medical practice. To be clear, our policy states that if there is reasonable cause to believe that an infant is suffering or at imminent risk of suffering physical or emotional injury, we will continue to report those cases as we always have.

"Our policy now requires written consent for toxicology testing of any expecting mother or infant in most cases. This change is aligned with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) public policy statement here. A number of health care systems throughout the United States have already adopted this policy update to ensure that all families have access to safe, effective, evidence-based, and equitable care."

>BATS

emember this theory:

Using bovine derived materials to make and deliver common vaccines has made the population susceptible to certain bovine-vectored payloads.

Bats are the best mammalian virus vector, as their body temp prevents them from being susceptible to illness from the virus they host and harbor.

If bird flu, or any engineered bioweapon, can be carried by bats, they are at minimum able to be hosted by mammals.

Take that into the domesticated bovine population, which is it direct contact with humans, in the human food supply, and large scale produces of human contacted manure fertilizer.

They you have a very hard to trace, world wide pandemic. ESPECIALLY with an immunocompromised population.

This is not 'bird flu' per se, but whatever the bovine, and perhaps bats and labs before them made, have assimilated and can now conceivable transmit.

"From 1 January 2003 to 26 February 2024, a total of 254 cases of human infection with avian influenza A(H5N1) virus have been reported from four countries within the Western Pacific Region (Table 1). Of these cases, 141 were fatal, resulting in a case fatality rate (CFR) of 56%."

That is MASSIVE.

A majority of bats are insectivores, meaning they primarily eat insects. The animals use echolocation to find their prey. Common insects preyed on by bats include mosquitoes, moths, beetles, crickets, grasshoppers, cicadas, and flies. Amazingly, bats can eat their own body weight in insects each night. In fact, a single brown bat can eat up to 1,000 mosquitoes in an hour.

FDA to axe ban that prevented gay and bisexual men from donating their sperm

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-13273343/fda-lifts-ban-gay-bisexual-men-donating-sperm.html

The FDA is set to axe its ban on gay and bisexual men donating sperm, it has been revealed.

Under the current rule, men who have had sex with men within the last five years are blocked from anonymously donating sperm amid fears of HIV infection.

But the agency is now seeking to scrap the blanket ban, and replace it with screening questions that assess a donor's risk of carrying HIV or other infections.

If approved, the shift would increase the number of anonymous sperm donations available to those seeking fertility treatments.

It could also affect limits on donations of other tissues from gay and bisexual donors.

The FDA is seeking to update its rules on anonymous sperm donations. The current rules were put in place in the 1980s over HIV-related concerns (stock image)

The Wall Street Journal revealed the news, and said the FDA was planning to finalize its proposal by the summer. If approved by the White House, it could go into effect before the end of this year.

Women whose male partner is infertile or who don't have a male partner rely on donated sperm to become pregnant.

It comes as IVF is more in demand than ever, with a record 86,000 babies born via the procedure in the US in 2021, the latest year available.

That's up more than 62 percent from the 53,000 in 2012 when records began — with doctors saying this figure is set to increase.

The growing popularity is due to couples waiting longer to have children, as well as increasing numbers of women opting for IVF without a partner.

Additionally, some surveys show that the number of LGBT couples starting a family has risen by 44 percent over the past decade.

Meanwhile, sperm banks are reporting shortages in the number of samples available for patients.

Experts say trouble was sparked during the Covid pandemic - with fewer donations from young professionals and students, who make up the bulk of the supply.

Many human rights groups have been lobbying the FDA to change its rules around sperm donation for years, calling them 'outdated'.

The shift comes the year after the FDA permitted gay and bisexual men to give blood - after a long ban due to concerns about HIV.

The FDA banned anonymous sperm donations from gay and bisexual men in the 1980s amid concerns over the accuracy of HIV tests.

It was feared that the swabs would not detect the virus, which could then be accidentally transmitted to someone else.

Under the proposed rule change, the blanket ban will be replaced with a series of questions for donors to screen for HIV risk.

It has not been revealed which questions may be asked. It is thought the new regulations may follow ones updated for blood donation - which involves men being permitted to donate blood providing they had not had any new sexual partners over the previous three months.

There are rigorous precautions already in place for spem donors to prevent HIV transmission.

Donors must test negative for HIV at least twice, with tests being at least six months apart.

Justin Trudeau

@JustinTrudeau

When the end of World War Two brought on a housing crunch decades ago, Canada created a catalogue of homes that could be constructed quickly. It worked.

Now, faced with a housing crisis again, we’re bringing that post-war catalogue back – with a new set of modern blueprints.
