I met Eric Burdon at an outdoor concert (his) as I was having a smoke by the stage waiting for wifeAnon and this short, grey haired guy was standing there having a smoke too. We get to talking, and after a while someone on the stage was talking and all of a sudden, he said nice talking to you but I have to go and away he went. A few minutes later there he was on the stage singing. And he played When I was Young for me too.
