Nothing fazes anons

Only thing that works is starting arguments to waste bread and bury the goodies and if anons won't take the bait they argue among themselves. Good example is the Graveyard Shift religious "arguments"

Hartlepool comes to mind

The Library in town has the records of the old shipyard, and in some cases the blueprints of the ships built there

The rail lines that served the shipyards may be just the beds now, cuts in the landscape to show what once was

If you have some time, say during bad weather, try looking up Time Team episodes on You Tube

Next thing you know the local "lumps and bumps" as the Geophysics guy puts it may start showing you things that have been forgotten. Things like a hill that had a mott & bailey castle on it that was wiped away by the civil war. Maybe one of those "pillow" bunkers put in for the German invasion that never came
