ALERT: Highly Poisonous Substance that Can Cause Coma and Blindness Discovered in Hand Sanitizer and Aloe Gel – Voluntary Recall Underway

Over three dozen lots of hand sanitizer and aloe gel are reportedly being recalled because they contain a highly poisonous substance that can cause severe health issues, including blindness and coma.

The FDA said Friday that Aruba Aloe Balm N.V., which is based in Oranjestad, Aruba, is “voluntarily” recalling 40 lots of Aruba Aloe Hand Sanitizer Gel Alcohol 80% and Aruba Aloe Alcoholada Gel. These products contain alcohol modified with methanol.

As the FDA notes, exposure to methanol can lead to nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, coma, seizures, permanent blindness, permanent damage to the central nervous system, or death. The people most at risk for methanol poisoning are children who accidentally ingest these products and adolescents and adults who drink these products as an alcohol (ethanol) substitute.

Aruba Aloe Balm N.V. claims it has not received any reports of adverse events connected to the use of its products.

Aruba Aloe Hand Sanitizer Gel is used as a sanitizer to help reduce bacteria that can potentially cause disease. It is packaged in 12 fl oz green plastic bottles with white labels reading in part “ARUBA ALOE Hand Sanitizer GEL 80% Alcohol Made in Aruba World’s Finest Aloe.”

Aruba Aloe Alcoholada Gel is designed to provide temporary relief of pain and itching associated with minor burns, sunburn, insect bites, or minor skin irritations. It comes in 2.2 and 8.5 fl. oz clear bottles.

According to the FDA, the products were distributed between 5/1/2021 and 10/27/2023 and sold in the US online via the Aruba Aloe Balm N.V. website. The Aruba-based company is notifying the customers who bought the products via email and offering a discount coupon for a future purchase.

The FDA is urging customers to discontinue using the products and to throw them away. The agency also says customers affected by the product should contact their doctor or healthcare provider.

Multiple entities, including Burisma Holdings, have been involved in funding terrorism, Russian investigators are claiming

Criminal probes into the financing of terrorist activities in Russia and abroad have been launched against several private companies, the country’s Investigative Committee announced on Tuesday. The list of suspects includes the Ukrainian industrial conglomerate Burisma Holdings, linked to a corruption scandal surrounding the Biden family that has been dragging on for years.

The criminal investigation stems from a complaint filed by a group of Russian MPs and public figures in the aftermath of the deadly Crocus City Hall attack outside Moscow last month. The original complaint identified the US and its allies as allegedly organizing a string of attacks on Russian soil.

So far, investigators have “established that the funds, flowing through commercial organizations, including the oil and gas conglomerate Burisma Holdings, operating in Ukraine, have been used in recent years to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia,” committee spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko said. Former AG John Ashcroft and Constitutional Coalition File Brief with US Supreme Court on Presidential Immunity

The Constitutional Coalition and former Attorney General John Ashcroft filed an amicus curiae (Friend of the Court) in the United States Supreme Court in the case United States v. Trump. The appeal to the Supreme Court concerns the question of presidential immunity. More specifically, whether a subsequent president may criminally prosecute his (or her) predecessor, and current political rival, for official acts the previous president took while in office. This amicus brief was not filed on behalf of either party – Special Counsel Jack Smith (hired by Attorney General Merrick Garland to prosecute former President Trump) nor on behalf of former President Trump. Rather, this amicus brief was filed to defend the constitutional principle that a President of the United States, as the Nation’s chief executive, must have immunity from criminal prosecution for those official acts the President takes during the President’s term in office. Otherwise, the President’s fear of a subsequent political rival bringing a criminal prosecution after the President leaves office will impair the President’s ability to make those decisions necessary to protect our national interest and discharge the duties of the office of Chief Executive.

This does not mean the President is “above the law” or is unaccountable. Quite to the contrary. The Founders adopted a very specific method for holding the President accountable. That method is in Article One of the Impeachment Clause of the Constitution, which provides that, after impeached by the House and conviction by the Senate, the President may be subject to criminal prosecution. The Constitutional principle at issue in United States v. Trump transcends Donald J. Trump individual and the immediate passions surrounding the 2024 Presidential Election. How the Supreme Court decides this case could shift the balance in the Separation of Powers between the three branches of our government. ‘Forever Chemicals’ Found in Half of Fruit, Vegetables.

Residue from cancer-causing “forever chemicals” known as PFAs (per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances) has been discovered in over half of fruits and vegetables in the UK. These persistent elements, which are used in certain pesticides, have been linked to serious health conditions and can persist in the environment and within living organisms for hundreds of years.

According to a report released by the Environment Department’s advisory committee on pesticide residues (PRiF), over 400 of these chemicals were found in over half of the over 3,300 food and drink samples tested.

Despite the alarming findings, 56.4 percent of the samples tested contained pesticide residue below the legally permitted maximum residue level (MRL). According to the UK’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE), foods with residue above this level pose limited risk to health, but this is disputed by the Pesticide Action Network UK (Pan UK). The organization points out the MRLs do not ensure safety, nor do they consider other potential exposure routes.

Pan UK has urged the government to ban the 25 PFA pesticides currently in use in the UK, with six being classified as “highly hazardous.” The group is also advocating for increased support for farmers to end reliance on these chemicals, arguing that they are unnecessary for food production and are an avoidable source of pollution.

The Chem Trust, another campaign group, emphasizes the human-made nature of PFA’s and the crucial need to cease adding to this “toxic burden.” The Environment Department and HSE have yet to comment on these findings and concerns.

An American study released last year found that nearly half of U.S. drinking water was contaminated with PFAs. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has linked these chemicals to multiple cancers in women.

Nicaragua tells ICJ Germany is 'facilitating' genocide in Gaza

The delegation outlined its case against Germany at the International Court of Justice at the start of a two-day hearing

Nicaragua has brought Germany before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for violating the Genocide Convention through its continued military and political support of Israel.

On Monday, the Nicaraguan delegation presented its case as part of a two-day hearing, accusing Germany of "facilitating the commission of genocide" and demanding the court impose emergency measures to halt German arms exports to Israel and reinstate funding for the UN Palestinian refugee agency, Unrwa.

In his opening comments to the court, Nicaraguan Ambassador to the Netherlands Carlos Jose Arguello Gomez said that, through its continued support of Israel: "Germany is failing to honour its own obligation to prevent genocide or to ensure respect of international humanitarian law."

Nicaragua demanded the court issue five provisional measures, including that Germany "immediately suspend its aid to Israel, in particular its military assistance, including military equipment" and that it "reverse its decision to suspend the funding of Unrwa".

The implementation of these measures was "increasingly more urgent and necessary" in light of the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Strip, the delegation said.

Germany, whose lawyers will present the delegation’s defence on Tuesday, rejects the charges.

After the hearing, German legal representative Tania von Uslar-Gleichen dismissed Nicaragua's presentation as "grossly biased".

The Nicaraguan case argues that since the start of the war, Germany has been fully aware that Israel was violating international law in Gaza, and that, following the ICJ’s ruling on 26 January that found a "plausible risk" of genocide in Gaza, these violations were tantamount to genocide.

210 Democrats vote against bill requiring medical care for babies born alive after abortion attempt

Democrats said the bill would interfere with families' medical decisions

Nearly every House Democrat on Wednesday voted against legislation that would require immediate medical attention for babies who are born alive after an attempt was made to abort them.

The House passed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which says any infant born alive after an attempted abortion is a "legal person for all purposes under the laws of the United States." Doctors would be required to care for those infants as a "reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive."

The bill passed 220-210, and all 210 of the "no" votes came from Democrats. Only one Democrat voted for the bill — Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas — and one other Democrat, Rep. Vicente Gonzalez of Texas, voted "present."

Following that level of care, doctors would be required admit those infants to a hospital for further care. Any violation of this standard would result in fines and imprisonment for up to five years, or both.

Republicans argued on the floor that comments from Virginia’s former Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam are an example of why the law needs to be clarified to protect newborn infants who survive abortions. Northam was talking about third-trimester abortions and appeared to indicate support for delivering babies that might still be alive before taking their life outside the womb.

One of the most powerful men in music with ties to the “Friends of the IDF” organization has been accused of financing and attending parties held by the artist, which featured trafficked, underage sex workers. Meanwhile, A-list actor Ashton Kutcher and other entertainment industry honchos close to Combs have maintained longstanding ties to the Israel lobby.

One of the civil lawsuits was filed by Rodney Jones, a former producer hired by Combs. It accuses Diddy of sexual assault. “Mr. Combs had hundreds of cameras in his homes in LA, NYC, and Miami. Mr. Combs required the sex workers and underaged girls to sign NDAs prior entering his parties, and prior to being drugged and sex trafficked at these parties,” the lawsuit adds. Jones “believes that Mr. Combs has recordings of Defendants” – namely Grainge and Habtemariam – “as well as other celebrities, music label executives, politicians, and athletes.”

Grainge has supported pro-Israel initiatives, such as a fund for Israeli Olympic athletes. As noted previously by Palestine Declassified, Grainge was photographed at a glitzy Friends of the IDF gala in 2016, presumably after making a hefty donation to the pro-occupation NGO. According to UK government documents, Grainge’s wife, Caroline Grainge, also funds several Zionist organizations.

Lucian Grainge also happens to be a “close friend” of Haim Saban, a Democratic Party power player and mega-donor to Zionist causes like the Friends of the IDF. Saban is an independent non-executive director at Universal Music Group and last month held a fundraiser for President Joe Biden.

In the U.K., the Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA) is the self-regulatory body which administers the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) Code of Practice for the industry.

In breach of the code, the Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA) charged Pfizer administrative costs of £34,800 for this breach.

To put this into context, Pfizer’s revenues jumped to $81.3 billion in 2021, up from $41.7 billion in 2020. So, £34,800 equates to 0.00005% of Pfizer’s 2021 revenues. Or, to put it another way, Pfizer earned about $154,680 per minute in 2021, so the fine equates to roughly 17 seconds of Pfizer’s revenues.

This latest fine comes after Pfizer’s Chief Executive, Dr. Albert Bourla, was found guilty in November 2022 of misleading U.K. parents over the safety of the Covid vaccine for children.

Israeli company Cognyte, a Nasdaq-traded firm, did not receive a license from the state to sell cyber-intelligence systems to Myanmar, the Israeli attorney general's office said in February. It added, however, that "the evidentiary basis is insufficient to open an investigation."

For Israel's TikTok serial killers, there is a pleasure in inflicting racial terror in Gaza

The scene of genocide is often that of the victim of naked violence who is utterly dehumanised by a state of incarceration, violation, dismemberment, starvation, and torture.

In Gaza, the images are unceasing, gripping you in inescapable despair - mutilation, rotting corpses, family annihilation, bags full of body parts of loved ones, bereaved fathers in states of anguish, traumatised, dying and starving children, mothers crying out in desperation - nightmarish snippets of the growing magnitude of loss taken from apocalyptic scenes in the 21st century.

There is no scarcity of images of the horrors unfolding - Palestinians are offering visuals to the world of their genocide, but every day, there is a new level of brutal criminality. And no image or institutional words - "terrorism", "war", "human rights violations", or even "genocide" - can adequately capture the depths of these atrocities, or enable us to comprehend them. Nor should they.

In the absence of accountability, these scenes are instead provocations - committed, direct affirmations - that send a message to the world that this is a power where no law dares speak.

Worse still, we are judged as hopeless and pathetic before the biggest mass murder of our times.

Our shock, horror, and grief are castigated as accusatory indictments of antisemitism, sympathy for terrorism and, in the case of many already highly policed and surveilled communities, criminality.

Staging the crime scene

But while Palestinians desperately document their genocide, there is another scene that possesses you by its sheer depravity: the broadcasting and display of enjoyment of Israelis in that violence.

The transgressive staging and voyeuristic witnessing have a self-validating effect. With callous indifference to the injuries inflicted, Israeli soldiers share with us their disturbing desire to continue to dominate the now-empty homes of displaced, possibly dead, Palestinians.

Intruding upon and exposing their private world in gleeful abandon, Israeli soldiers flaunt women's underwear on walls, military vehicles, and on their own bodies, playfully caressing the nipples.
