No public transportation. A second family car was needed. Moms had to get jobs to make ends meet. Latchkey kids had the TV as their babysitter. Dads had to travel further to get to work. Less time spent with their families.
Meanwhile, in the cities, the Black women were told they didn't need husbands because the government would be their sugar daddy. The more kids they had, the bigger the welfare check would be.
