So, when people in the government lie to the people, from whence do they derive the power and right to do so? I can't find this delegated right or enumerated power anywhere in the Constitution. Is there any punishment for violations of the Constitution?

Before you can steal an election that isn't close you must create the illusion that the race is close, then when you manufacture and inject false votes it seems like a reasonable outcome.

Remember, to steal an election the election runup must appear to be a close thing. This is why it is so common for elections to be close. The system is setting up the outcome during the preliminaries.
