Can one of you fucking geniuses do some simple math. Been posting for 2 days. Gonna try again. NYT pic said he took at 1/8000 sec. Calculate hat use slightly tilted view maybe 13 inches. Use hat to get length of trail of bullet. Multiply against 8k should give you range for speed of bullet. It ain't AR-15 land. I am unsure of errors of inputs.

OP here. Got booted maybe different user number. Congratulations on doing the math. Yes it's a big number and bullets that I know of don't go that fast. The photog could of shopped it. Does 8k mean 8k? But even factoring in the errors I am stating that this seems to be faster than what an AR-15 would do.
