A far southern point in CONUS. If you study spaceflight you can pretty quickly come to the understanding that the closer to the equator you can launch the better. If a spacecraft is launched from a site closer to the Earth's equator, it can take optimum advantage of the Earth's substantial rotational speed.

Problem is the setting on that camera is just a label. The camera itself is not a scientific instrument and we should not regard it as one. Anon would be very surprised if the actual shutter speed turned out to be precisely 1/8000th sec. And even if it were the next problem rears it's ugly head. What are the actual capabilities of the hardware and the process by which the image image is captured? Is it a side to side scan? Top to bottom? What are it's limitations and vagaries? Without that full knowledge and testing of the actual camera itself anons are just grabbing at straws here. And creating aBIG SLIDE.
