Mr. Biden: Here's the truth about why Donald Trump's presidency was hell for black America. He tried to repeal Obamacare.
Mr. Biden: His mishandling of the pandemic was especially devastating to black communities…that economic crisis drove up black unemployment, decimated small black businesses, and when you peacefully protested George Floyd's murder, Donald Trump called for the National Guard to go after you. What in the hell is the matter with this man? From a guy who [inaudible] the birther lie against Barack Obama, saying he wasn't born in America, and we wasn't a US citizen.
Mr. Biden: The idea that corporate-owned housing is able to raise your rent, three, four hundred bucks a month; I am about to announce you can't raise it more than fifteen, five dollars.
Mr. Biden: Everybody deserves a shot…give hate no safe harbor. Leave no one behind. That's a stark contrast to my predecessor and MAGA [inaudible]. They'll undo everything the NAACP stands for, and now they're trying to deny it. They're lying about their Project 2025…they're trying to erase black history. We can not let that happen. That's why it was so important to me to make Juneteenth a federal holiday.
Mr. Biden [yelling]: I know how to tell the truth. I know right from wrong.
