Pakistan to ban Imran Khan’s party – official

 

Islamabad has “credible evidence” that the former Prime Minister’s party received foreign funding, says one member of cabinet

 

Pakistan’s government plans to outlaw former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party Tehreek-e-Insaf, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar announced on Monday. The cabinet is also seeking to bring new charges of treason against the politician, just days after a court overturned previous convictions.

 

Khan, 71, who is currently imprisoned on corruption charges, was ousted in April 2022. Since then, he has faced over 100 indictments, which his party has denounced as politically motivated.

 

On Monday, the interior minister said that the government had obtained “credible evidence” suggesting that Tehreek-e-Insaf had received money from foreign sources, in violation of national law. The cabinet also accused the party of inciting nationwide riots following Khan’s arrest last year.

 

Massive violent protests broke out in Pakistan in May 2023 following Khan’s detention, triggering a political crisis that only subsided when the Pakistani Supreme Court ordered his release. He was later arrested again and imprisoned on corruption charges.

 

“The federal government will move a case to ban the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf,” Tarar said, arguing that the latest allegations are enough to allow the ban. However, media is reporting that the decision would still have to be approved by the Supreme Court.

 

According to Tarar, the cabinet will also file new treason charges against Khan and former President Arif Alvi for allegedly wrongfully dissolving the National Assembly in April 2022, during Khan’s final days in power. The prime minister, who took office in 2018, was ousted in a no-confidence vote.

 

Khan’s spokesman Zulfiqar Bukhari said the government’s actions were politically motivated. “This is a sign of panic as they have realized the courts can’t be threatened and put under pressure,” he said.

TRUMP ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT: Follow-up Analysis/1

 

The INITIAL ANALYSIS holds that the Trump assassination attempt presents as an Intelligence Community operation executed by DHS/USSS functionaries in a forced internal security breach caused by the insertion of irregular personnel to the Executive protection detail.

 

The mode of operations was a stand-down to a trigger man identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks and complicated by assertions and loose anecdotal evidence of an alternative shooter in Maxwell Yearick.

 

The stand-down took the from of breaking strict protocol within the 2-man counter-sniper operations in permitting an identified threat and plausible shooter armed with a rifle to advance on President Trump from an elevated rooftop position approximately 400 ft. away and in effectively close range to acquire Trump as a target and engage the former President firing no fewer than 3 rounds.

 

Video evidence clearly indicates that although the threat had been acquired, the counter-sniper counterstrike did not commence until the shooter first engaged his target.

 

The considerations about the actions of Joe Biden and the issued pretext are loosely anecdotal evidence but they are valid considerations against the backdrop of the remaining evidence; and they are backed by demonstrable and factual history.

 

The considerations about the Intelligence Community narrative of “shooting” v. “assassination” are valid.

 

This is despite a now intermixing of the two; remembering that “shooting” is an inadequate descriptor to be excluded except as a verb including other tenses like “shot,” but where the “shooting” narrative or versions of it prevail in the reporting.

 

The considerations about site and venue Executive security and the Executive protection detail are valid.

 

The considerations about ongoing DOJ/FBI cover and concealment operations in the form of an FBI investigation ordered by Biden are valid and represent a grossly repeating pattern within the broader DOJ under AG Merrick Garland.

 

The considerations about the “domestic terrorism” application to the FBI investigation and the legal architecture into which it precisely fits are entirely valid.

On Sunday, the Unveiling of the "Volhynian Massacre" Monument in Domostawa**

The monument commemorating Poles murdered by Ukrainian nationalists in Volhynia and Eastern Lesser Poland, "Volhynian Massacre," will be unveiled on Sunday in Domostawa, near Nisko (Podkarpackie). The sculpture by Andrzej Pityński is controversial due to its graphic nature.

 

The bronze sculpture depicts an eagle with its body engulfed in flames, and the wings bear the names of towns whose residents were massacred by the UPA. In the center of the monument is a cross cut out, with trident-shaped pitchforks impaling a child's body. At the base of the monument, one side shows a family with children in flames, while the other side shows the heads of children impaled on fence posts, also in flames. Including the pedestal, the monument stands 20 meters tall.

 

 

Due to its graphic nature, the monument elicits strong emotions. For a long time, it couldn't find a home, as many localities refused to place it on their land: Rzeszów, Toruń, Jelenia Góra, and Stalowa Wola. As a result, the monument now stands along the Via Carpatia route near Domostawa (Nisko County, Jarocin Municipality).

 

Jarocin Municipality Mayor Tomasz Podpora defends the monument. In an interview with PAP, he noted that this is how the artist expressed his vision of commemorating the victims in Volhynia, "and it must be respected." Addressing the frequent criticism that the monument is too graphic, he pointed out that equally graphic scenes are seen in films and no one is outraged. "We must say that this was how it was (in Volhynia). The artist expressed his vision this way, and it should not be changed," he added.

 

When asked why Jarocin Municipality agreed to the monument when many other local governments had previously rejected it, the mayor responded that the idea and initiative for the monument in Domostawa came from his predecessor, Zbigniew Walczak, who is the president of the Social Committee for the Construction of the "Volhynian Massacre" monument in this locality.

 

Witold Zych, a member of the organizational committee for the monument unveiling, quoted the words of the monument's creator, saying, "A good monument is one that, once seen, is remembered for a lifetime." "And this is such a monument," Zych noted.

 

He added that the municipal council adopted the resolution on this matter with nine votes in favor and six abstentions; no one was against it. The land for the monument's placement was purchased. Podpora emphasized that the monument's construction was also approved by the creator himself – Andrzej Pityński – when there was no Via Carpatia route yet, but the bridge construction was planned.

 

In a similar vein, members of the Social Committee for the Construction of the "Volhynian Massacre" monument in Domostawa expressed in a social media video, inviting people to Sunday’s unveiling ceremonies. They argue that it is good the monument evokes strong emotions and that it is graphic because the events in Volhynia in 1943 were such.

Witold Zych quoted the words of the monument’s creator, saying, "A good monument is one that, once seen, is remembered for a lifetime." "And this is such a monument," Zych noted.

 

"The art of Andrzej Pityński, the realism of these events, is the main strength of this monument. The composition he created is so strong, so powerful that it will move every Pole who has a Polish heart. The monument bears the inscription: 'Honor their memory.' Dr. Hab. Kierski reminded that many cities rejected the idea of placing the monument on their land, which finally ended up along a fast-track route "and will unfortunately frighten drivers." "In general, in my opinion, it is one big nightmare," he concluded.

 

The monument is critically evaluated artistically by sculptor Dr. Hab. Jerzy Kierski, professor at the University of Rzeszów (Institute of Fine Arts at the College of Humanities). In his opinion, the monument leaves nothing to the viewer's imagination. "The brutal, cruel, and terrifying scenes are served up on a platter," the artist said in an interview with PAP.

 

He clarified that he is not an expert on Andrzej Pityński’s work but knows several of his pieces, and "this is probably the least successful." "It is an overdone piece. There is no metaphor, only literalness. Proportions are distorted - the dramatic scene of the child impaled on the trident. How does this relate to the cross and the massive eagle, which is also out of proportion?" the artist listed.

A recent attack on a Victoria paramedic and the subsequent threats against cops who were called in to help mark the latest incidents of violence against local first responders, the city's police chief said in announcing emergency personnel would no longer respond to calls from a specific neighbourhood without police backup.

 

Chief Del Manak announced the change in a statement issued on Friday, saying the attack in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue the day before was only "one piece of the trend" of increasing aggression toward first responders.

 

Victoria police said members of BC Emergency Health Services had been "flagged down" in the area on Thursday evening about a man needing medical attention, and he allegedly hit and kicked a paramedic who was caring for him.

 

The department said about 60 people then surrounded emergency responders when police arrived, noting the group "became increasingly hostile" and officers had to call for backup.

I want to tell you guys a HORROR story regarding Social Security SSI Disability Benefits.

I know a 65 year old man who was in an accident and hasn't worked in a longtime because he can't walk and one arm is partially disabled but I always see him trying to get around and participate in life as much as he can and I greatly respect him for his efforts.

The other day he explained to me that he was on SSI Disability and it is really hard to makes ends meet with the Bidenomics price increases but he manages to keep going on only $943 dollars a month for all his expenses.

To me the maximum amount of SSI Disability payments for a disabled elderly man only being $943 a month, makes no sense at all it'sCRUELTYno matter how you slice it.

I decided to give him $300 a month to help him out and also looked into other benefits he might be eligible for every month.

After contacting the 'Social Security office I was told if I give him $300 a month then $300 a month will be deducted from his SSI monthly payment and I said how can he possibly get ahead when he cannot have more than $943 a month and no more than $2,000 in total life savings or he will be kicked off the program.

Social Security workers they don't give two shits about anyone.

Where I live you can't even rent a closet for $943 a month so I'm wondering why are the the politicians in Washington DC doing this to America's elderly that are unfortunately disabled?

All that FUCKIN' taxpayer money going to illegal alien insects and non Americans in the Ukraine and all them asshole do nothing politicians in Washington DC can't even give America's disabled elderly a couple more hundred dollars a month at least…

The US Secret Service needs to explain something about its response to Saturday’s attempted assassination

On Saturday, 20-year-old Pennsylvanian Thomas Crooks fired three shots from a rifle and was almost immediately hit by return fire from US Secret Service snipers. The country’s former President Donald Trump suffered a minor wound to his right ear,but literally looked death in the face.

Apparently, Trump was saved by turning his head to the right, in the direction of the would-be assassin. He had already made this move when Crooks pulled the trigger and the bullet flew towards him at an initial velocity of more than 1,100 meters per second. According to a ballistic calculator, the bullet took 0.14 of a second to reach Trump’s ear.There was no way the shooter could have calculated the movement of his intended victim. Trump was only millimeters away from being fatally wounded. Even if he had turned at a slightly different angle and the bullet had travelled 10-20 mm to the right, the former US president would have been seriously wounded and out of the running for power in the US for a long time, if not forever.

The next two shots were automatic and missed, indicating poor shooting skills and an inability to control himself under stress.

The presidential candidate himself heard the shots half a second later, apparently at the same time as he felt the pain of the wound.The speed of a bullet is three times the speed of sound. By this time, a projectile had already hit the next victim. We can assume that the shooter was able to hit several targets with one shot. But that’s not because of any ability on Crooks’ part, it’s the result of the large crowd at the rally.

What was striking, however, was the lightning response of the secret service snipers. They opened fire with at least two rifles in just over three seconds. This is an excellent result. And it would be even in a shooting competition where the target and distances are known, and the command ‘fire’ is given.

So, it’s clear that Special Forces snipers had Crooks in their crosshairsby the time the shots were fired.

So why didn’t they open fire sooner? And why did they let the shooter get so close and not respond to eyewitness reportsof a strange man with a gun?

 

(When a Russian gun expert is asking questions, it’s obvious he knows why they allowed this, he’s insinuating what we all know. The world knows by now. Will anyone be punished or prosecuted?)

I really think there were two shooters, the one on the building, & the real (professional) sniper on the water tower.

 

Seems like a very real possibility that they thought Crooks was handled & had their eye on the water tower shooter, but once they realized Crooks was left “unhandled”, quickly had to take out both.

1) He practiced firing at a range where he was a member the day before the shooting.

 

2) The morning of the shooting, he purchased a ladder at Home Depot, and 50 rounds of ammo at a gun shop.

 

3) After running his errands, he drove about an hour north to get to the rally.

 

4) There was an improvised explosive device in the trunk of his car (a Hyundai Sonata).

 

5) The IED was wired to a receiver, and Crooks had a remote control detonator with him.

 

Questions:

Did someone assist Crooks in building and deploying the IED, something that a typical 20-year-old would know nothing about?

 

Did someone build the IED for him?

The assassination attempt on US presidential candidate Donald Trump may have been tied to Ukraine, Viktor Medvedchuk has said in a letter to the former US president and Republican candidate.

Trump narrowly escaped death at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania this weekend, when an assassin’s bullet injured his ear. The attacker, a 20-year-old American, was killed by the Secret Service. His motives have not been officially disclosed.

“Dear Mr. Trump,

you have become a personal enemy of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi [Vladimir] Zelensky, and this scoundrel will stop at nothing to prevent you from winning the presidential election,”

 

Medvedchuk wrote on Tuesday.

“I think that there will be a Ukrainian trace in the case of the assassination attempt on you.”

 

According to Medvedchuk, the current government in Kiev has an interest in prolonging the conflict, because ending it would bring into question their legitimacy.Zelensky’s “criminal regime” would lose US support when Trump returns to the White House and faces “deserved punishment for its crimes,” he wrote.

 

“The day before the assassination attempt on you, Mr. President, the head of Ukrainian military intelligence stated that the Ukrainian authorities had attempted to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin, and a few days earlier, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine promised to destroy Ukrainians who advocate peace with Russia,” Medvedchuk told Trump.

 

The Republican presidential nominee has repeatedly said he would negotiate a swift end to the Ukraine conflict. Doing so, however, would mean “the loss of power by the Nazi regime of Zelensky and his American curators from the Biden administration,” Medvedchuk also noted.

 

Trump was already ahead in the polls after the June 27 debate, which caused upheaval in the Democratic party and calls to replace President Joe Biden on the ticket with someone else. The Republican’s popularity surged following the failed assassination attempt.

 

Zelensky said on Monday that he was “not afraid” of a change of power in Washington, because his government had “a strong relationship with the Republican side of Congress and the US political class.”

 

Medvedchuk was the leader of the party Opposition Platform – For Life, the second-largest group in the Ukrainian parliament, until his arrest in April 2022. The party was banned three months later, and Medvedchuk was sent to Russia in exchange for several Ukrainian POWs in September.

Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has signaled her support if Ukraine attempted to dig up dirt on GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump. She made the comment in a phone call with Russian prankster duo Vovan and Lexus, one of whom posed as ex-Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko.

According to a recording of the conversation made public on Wednesday, Clinton and the man she believed to be Poroshenko discussed the political landscape in the US leading up to the November election, as well as the potential repercussions of a Trump victory for both Kiev and Washington. Trump has repeatedly criticized the way the administration of US President Joe Biden has handled the Ukraine conflict, saying he would end hostilities within 24 hours if elected and stop sending unconditional financial support to Kiev.

Clinton said that she is “doing everything” she can to secure Biden’s reelection, while acknowledging that those efforts come at “a very difficult time in this country.” Her comments followed a recent television debate between Biden and Trump, widely seen as a disaster for the incumbent.

 

The former presidential candidate, who lost the 2016 election to Trump, described her former rival as “very dangerous,” adding that he “would be very bad for the United States as well as for… Ukraine,” and that Kiev was right to be concerned.

Clinton seemed to like the idea. “Good. Anything you could do, attack him, I’m all for it, because he is a very dangerous man,” she responded. ‘Poroshenko’ then followed up with a suggestion to “send my people in the US,” without clarifying what he meant, but the former secretary ignored this proposal.

Biden and Trump faced-off on June 27, with the US president widely being perceived as incoherent and fumbling. According to several reports, many prominent Democrats and party donors are scrambling to find a replacement for Biden.

Meanwhile, Trump is heading into the election as the only former or current US president to be convicted of a crime. In May, the GOP frontrunner was found guilty of falsifying business records stemming from an alleged ‘hush money’ payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, with whom Trump allegedly had an affair. The ex-president maintains his innocence and has denied being involved with Daniels.

Ukrainian MP named on state-backed ‘kill list’

Mariana Bezuglaya has been accused of discrediting the nation’s military by verbally attacking generals

 

Notorious Ukrainian website Mirotvorets has blacklisted MP Mariana Bezuglaya for repeatedly targeting the country’s senior military officials.

The state-backed database was created to collect and track personal data of people whom anonymous moderators consider enemies of Ukraine. Some of those listed have been killed after being doxxed by the website.

 

Days earlier, the MP, who sits on the National Security, Defense and Intelligence committees, accused Ukraine’s top general, Aleksandr Syrsky, of mismanaging the army. The lawmaker claimed that the senior military official wanted to capitulate to Russia and prevent more competent officers from stopping that.

 

Bezuglaya, who is a member of Vladimir Zelensky’s Servant of the People party, was added to the “kill list” on Monday. Accusations against her include “interference with the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” “discreditation and demoralization” of the army, and working to cause a “split” in Ukrainian society.

 

Mirotvorets also claimed that the MP had leaked state secrets that Russia could use to its benefit. The website added that Bezuglaya had deliberately projected an image of an “irredeemably stupid f**king fool” as part of her subversive ploy.

 

Bezuglaya has a record of verbally attacking Ukrainian generals, including Syrsky’s predecessor, Valery Zaluzhny. Zelensky fired the top commander in February, after he publicly acknowledged that attempts to push Russian forces back had resulted in a “stalemate,” contradicting the Ukrainian leader.

 

Following her allegations, Bezuglaya was stripped of her role as the head of a parliamentary subcommittee, but remains the deputy chair of the security committee. She has described the development as irrelevant and an attempt to punish her for “telling the truth.” Her inclusion on Mirotvorets was part of the same pressure campaign, she claimed.

 

The controversial online project was launched in 2014 and is strongly associated with Anton Gerashchenko, a former Ukrainian MP and adviser to the Interior Ministry. The database features a number of prominent journalists and other public figures, including citizens of Western nations.

At least one person was killed in renewed anti-government protests across Kenya on Tuesday, a Reuters reporter said, as police clashed with demonstrators demanding that President William Ruto step down.

Youth-led protests that broke out a month ago against proposed tax hikes have continued even after Ruto withdrew the legislation and fired almost all of his cabinet. Activists say they want Ruto to resign and are calling for systemic changes to clean up corruption and address poor governance.

At least 50 people have been killed in the protests to date, the government-funded Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) said on Tuesday.

In Kitengela, a town on the southern outskirts of the capital Nairobi, police fired repeatedly in the direction of hundreds of protesters, some of whom were throwing rocks, Reuters TV footage showed. The protesters also burned tyres, waved Kenyan flags and chanted "Ruto must go!"

A Reuters reporter saw the body of one protester lying on the ground with blood oozing from a head wound. The national police spokesperson declined to comment.

In a statement, the interior ministry did not directly address events on Tuesday, but said security agencies were under instructions to exercise restraint.

The demonstrations on Tuesday appeared to be some of the biggest since Ruto withdrew the tax increases on June 26. The Nation newspaper reported protests in at least 23 of Kenya's 47 counties.
