It would be unbelievable in today's media to see a kid doing make-believe as a Secret Service agent It's just not something shown that much anymore.
Kids, back in the day, either through their parents watching movies or sneaking to watch action movies without their parents,saw romanticized visions of brave men taking bullets for the president all the time. Even Sinbad took a bullet for the first son, in a made-for-children comedy. I think the last big movies to have a big budget that focused on the Secret Service and idealized taking a hot one for the president were the Olympus has Fallen movies. It's been a while. Man, we need more patriotic entertainment.
