Can anyone tell me wtf is going on right now? Worldwide outages, seriously. This is not a joke, this is probably the biggest outage we've ever had for a long time. This affects banks, supermarkets, airports, trading companies, etc. It's crazy. I can't believe that this was accidental.

Unlikely. It's not binary-storage related and not BCD related like the Y2K problem in the 2000s. Apparently it's a failed Windows Update of Crowdstrike. LOL. This might end up being the best advertisment Linux ever got.
But still, I don't believe this update is accidential. Right after Trump's RNC speech. And we know that three-letter agencies have backdoors in their systems. It's not unlikely they might have given Crowdstrike the task to upload such an update to divert attention.
