Currently taking place in Lancaster, California officials have issued a Shelter-in-place as numerous firefighters are battling a significant 3rd Alarm fire at a car recycling yard. The fire is sending large flames and thick, black, toxic smoke into the air, visible from miles away. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, about 1,000 vehicles have been consumed in the inferno, with potentially 1,000 more at risk. No injuries have been reported so far. Local residents are advised to stay indoors, keep windows and doors closed, and turn off air conditioning systems to prevent exposure to the toxic smoke. The cause of the fire is still under investigation

A 2019 GovTrack score that ranked Vice President Kamala Harris as the “most liberal senator” was recently deleted. Update: Although it appears the GovTrack list discussed in this story was still on its website as recently as this week, the National Desk reported that GovTrack founder Joshua Tauberer said, “The page that you are referring to was based on a single calendar year.
