The ridiculous, abysmal Project 2025
Only Trump speaks for Trump

OPINION:
For years, Vice President Kamala Harris and other Democrats lied about President Biden’s health. It resulted in a coup against a sitting U.S. president. Now, Ms. Harris and the Democratic Party are pushing a new lie: Project 2025.
Let me explain what Project 2025 is and isn’t. Project 2025 is the absurd vision of people attempting to position themselves and their policies as part of former President Donald Trump’s next administration. They have nothing to do with Mr. Trump or his campaign, and why these outside parties are doing this is anybody’s guess.
Democrats can’t stop talking about this fantasy because they don’t have a plan, because their candidate was so weak he dropped out of the race, because they are trying everything in their power to distract from Ms. Harris’ failures and dangerously liberal track record — a record that, if left to grow, will be far worse than anything President Biden could have ever carried out. With the American dream further out of reach than ever, it’s the only play Democrats have left.
Project 2025 is not a blueprint for anything resembling a second Trump administration. It is a fable with ideas that, as Mr. Trump clearly said, are “absolutely ridiculous and abysmal.” Before Mr. Trump’s statement went out, the campaign tried again and again to warn the people behind these plans that they did not speak for the campaign and that unless a message came directly from the campaign, it was anonymous speculation.
Only one person speaks for Donald Trump, and that’s Donald Trump. Not “anonymously sourced former officials.” Not think tanks. Donald Trump. That’s it.
If you want to see a blueprint for the next Trump administration, look at the party platform, a commonsense guide to how we will recover from the catastrophe that is “Bidenomics,” from an open border that is crippling our economy, from a world on the brink of World War III.
Mr. Trump wants to seal the border, restore the American dream to hardworking families, defend our Constitution and stop the crime epidemic that is destroying our cities. He will fight to protect Social Security and Medicare with no cuts and will not change the retirement age. He will slash costly and burdensome regulations and cut federal funding for any schools spreading the dangerous ideologies that are infiltrating our children’s classrooms. Jewish students will feel safe again. America will be energy-independent again. We will make America great once again.
The Republican Party is the party of common sense. Project 2025 possesses little, if any, of that. It is the left’s boogeyman, and it distracts from the genuine dialogue Americans should be having about the failed Harris-Biden years.
But this is being done on purpose. The Democratic Party chooses to run on fear. What Americans should actually be frightened by is the idea of another four years of the failed policies that are on the verge of ruining our country forever. And when Democrats see the crowds filled with love for Mr. Trump, when they see him survive an assassin’s bullet, neither cowering nor wavering, before he pumps his fist in the air and tells the American people — Republican and Democrat alike — to “fight, fight, fight,” they are petrified by his unmistakable energy, strength and leadership — and choose to spread lies.
But don’t worry. We’ve seen everything, and we are solely focused on winning on Election Day, winning by historic margins, winning for the American people, to restore the promise of our country. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.
