As noted, I think the opening of the Paris Olympics was a Declaration of the opening of the Second French Revolution.
I’m serious. If you think this is being “academic,” you’re sorely wrong. If you don’t understand what is meant b/c, being an “academic” POV, only “that sort” of people find answers looking there [and besides, we already know what’s really going on], you’re churning what you seek to defend into dust. You are part of the dialectical destruction of everything you say you value.
How it is that people engaged in information operations (or, on our side, pretend to) think the CIR (Critical Information Requirements) of that activity -INFORMATION - can be cast aside if someone calls it “academic.” It’s like convincing an infantry regiment that they don’t need scouts b/c they already have a map. (Looking for a better analogy)
Those people, lead by a self hating Western leadership class - who we are self-aware we don’t always know who they are, the PsTB, that want western civilization destroyed, along with the peoples (ethnos) who built it know exactly what was signaled wrt the opening ceremonies.
Since then, a large uptick in public blade attacks, video showing whole groups of immigrants in UK town centers brandishing blades in clear preparation to attack the citizenry (which the reporting of the UK authorities call incitement and a hate crime that they will ruthlessly crack down on), large scale ISIS-like attacks on whole towns in Bangladesh, escalation of violence against the North American cities and campuses - all after the opening ceremony. There’s more.
So, if you think a recognition that the French Revolution counts as nothing more than a bit of disconnected trivia from the “real thing” - complete w the severed head of Marie Antoinette by guillotine, then your understanding of the “real thing” is deracinated from the telos that’s driving it to its perfection (teleios). And you’re batting for their team - and that’s just the cost of fighting a culture / religion killing dialectical attack while sustaining an abiding commitment to not understanding it.
That’s what the 2 Chinese Colonels meant in Unrestricted Warfare when saying, 25 years ago, that they could destroy America through political warfare (Maoist Insurgency) and the American national security establishment lacked the willingness or ability to figure out.
