Also, Jesus created everything (John 1:3); therefore, He created Satan, and this 3D place we're in with so much pain because everything is so heavy, made from matter instead of light (the next place) or energy (the one after that).
I'd imagine that living in a 2D environment would feel even more heavy. The scifi book "Dragon's Egg" showed me that long ago, the example of amoeba-like creatures on a neutron star's surface.
A 1D environment seems difficult to navigate in; you cannot pass your neighbor to communicate with or even see, his neighbor. All information you receive comes to you from one of two neighbors; discernment then becomes even more of a challenge than it is here in this gigantic game of 'Telephone' from childhood. At least we can talk to many, here!
More perspectives helps us to see the larger truth. Which is that we are eternal beings and our consciousness continues on after our death.
Jesus loves every thing in His creation: it would not fit perfectly together if any single puzzle piece were missing.
