SAN ANTONIO – Security officials at JBSA-Chapman Training Annex in San Antonio exchanged gunfire with active shooters attempting to breach the main gate early this morning.
According to KSAT, there were two separate shootings near the gate with the first incident happening around 2:15 a.m. Saturday.
Air Force security guards working the gate told police they heard several shots in addition to shots fired at them.
In response, more armed security was added to the gate as a precaution.
According to KSAT, the second incident happened around 4:30 a.m. when a vehicle stopped just east of the main gate. More shots were then fired at the guards who returned fire at the vehicle.
No injuries were reported in the incident and the base said the shooters are not known to have any military affiliation.

How dumb does one need to be to shoot at a whole base full of military?
