media.128ducks.com uses an invalid security certificate.The certificate expired on 13 March 2025 08:42. The current time is 16 April 2025 13:24. (Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE)
It's now fixed, but media.128ducks.com now forwards to nerv.8kun.top, which would be fine, if there wasn't DNS poisoning going on.
Wayback machine can't archive these most of the time of the day, this means image/video and PDF archiving doesn't work atm

Right now after trying a few times, I'm even getting 404s, probably because once again DNS resolves to facebook.
The same happens for threads, but at least it works for a short time every day, and there are only a handful threads to archive. For media content that doesn't work.
There's also another issue with nerv.8kun.top.
When trying to access images that do not exist, this happened yesterday, it returns an error web page, but also returning HTTP status 200, which means resource would be available.
This is very bad, because that way you can't detect that an image doesn't exist. Instead it pretends everything exists, even when it doesn't.
It should return HTTP status 404 instead. It can still return the error webpage on top of that.
I'm pretty sure that media.128ducks.com acted this way, with the correct HTTP status codes, because these problems didn't happen before, although there were images also going missing too.

that thread has been archived, although it shouldn't have fallen off the catalog.

All a catalog spammer can do is create more threads, which will bump the last threads out and into archived state.
In this case recent catalog threads were archived and disappeared, while older catalog threads are still there.
Well, when new threads are created by bakers, everyone can see that the last one flies off the catalog.
And thus spammers can only get the oldest threads. Only when they spam endlessly, they get to the latest threads.
That's why this is so weird. Only 40 or 50 recent threads were archived, the older threads still exist in catalog.

Maybe at least some images were saved, care to post notables for that old archived thread?
The old thread could also get recreated too if you want to, so that you can continue with it.
also if you got any of the images or movies that were posted, you could give me access to these files and I could use that for recreation too.

I started archiving threads around mid 2020, so json as well as HTML should be on wayback archive (and saved locally, and some is on archive today).
Can you try to isolate images of 2017/2018?
It would be very useful, I went through QR 2018+2019 and collected notables, you probably saved everything, but that's better than nothing. I should be ale to grab the notable data out of it.
If you want anything in return, I got JSON data from mid 2020, and I also got that data from /midnightriders/ as well as /qrb(. Of course that should also be on wayback machine anyway for the most part.
Did you download full size images, or thumbnails only?
Full sized would be best, but would be a huge amount of data.
I could also give you a list of all notable post #s or the sha hashes.
That way you could get the important media content out of it.
If you stopped downloading images, I could give you all notable content from the last x years.
Have all on local drives, it's not even that much, relatively speaking.
