>First Towns in US Suspend Water Fluoridation After Judge’s Ruling on Fluoride’s IQ Risk

Not true. There are a few who had outlawed fluoride in the municipal water supply prior to this.

This is what I have found out about it so far

As of the information available up to 05:54 PM on September 29, 2024, there has been an incident involving a fire at BioLab on Old Covington Highway in Conyers, Georgia. This incident has led to concerns about chemical release due to a fire and subsequent chemical reactions:

Chemical Reaction: The fire at BioLab caused a chemical reaction due to water from a malfunctioning sprinkler making contact with a reactive chemical. This resulted in a significant plume of smoke.

Unknown Specific Chemical: At the time of the latest updates, officials did not specify which chemical was involved in the reaction during the press conference. However, they were waiting for heavy equipment to remove pallets of the chemical from the plant, indicating that the substance was still on-site and posing a risk.

Environmental and Health Concerns: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Environmental Protection Division of Georgia were involved to assess whether the chemical reaction and the resultant plume posed any danger to the health of residents. This suggests that whatever was released into the air was significant enough to warrant environmental health scrutiny.

Historical Context: While not directly related to this specific incident, Georgia has been the site of past concerns over biological and chemical agents due to facilities like the Lugar Center in Tbilisi (not directly in GA, but mentioned in broader discussions about biolabs in the region), and historical tests like Operation Big Buzz in Savannah, but these do not relate to the current incident at BioLab.

Given the information:

What's Been Released: The exact chemical or biological agent released into the air from the BioLab incident in Conyers, GA, hasn't been explicitly named in the immediate reports following the incident. However, it's known to be a reactive chemical that, when mixed with water, caused a significant reaction leading to smoke and potentially harmful vapors.

Action Taken: Efforts were focused on controlling the situation, evacuating nearby areas, and assessing the environmental impact, which implies that there was indeed something potentially hazardous released into the air, but specifics would require further investigation or official disclosure.

For the most accurate and detailed information regarding what specifically has been released, one would need to wait for further analysis or an official statement from either BioLab, the EPA, or local authorities dealing with the incident.
