During a 10 a.m. press conference, it was revealed that the incident began around 5 a.m. Officials say that a sprinkler in the plant malfunctioned, causing water to make contact with a reactive chemical. That resulted in a small fire on the roof of the plant and a large plume.

 

Officials did not say what chemical was involved during the press conference. Officials also said that they are waiting for heavy equipment to remove pallets of the chemical from the plant. In the meantime, the EPA will be sampling the plume to determine what chemicals are in it to determine the threat level to the community.

Very few Americans realize that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election. Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!

 

Let me explain: if even 1 in 20 illegals become citizens per year, something that the Democrats are expediting as fast as humanly possible, that would be about 2 million new legal voters in 4 years.

 

The voting margin in the swing states is often less than 20 thousand votes. That means if the “Democratic” Party succeeds, there will be no more swing states!!

 

Moreover, the Biden/Harris administration has been flying “asylum seekers”, who are fast-tracked to citizenship, directly into swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and Arizona. It is a surefire way to win every election.

The only thing holding California back from extreme socialism and suffocating government policies is that people can leave California and still remain in America. Once the whole country is controlled by one party, there will be no escape.

After Exposing Feds’ Bible Buyer Investigation, Look Who Shows Up!

 

Right after we dropped our latest bombshell article revealing the US Treasury Department’s law enforcement arm confessing that Bible buyers were under the criminal microscope—guess who showed up?

 

Two FBI agents, but not to ease any of our fears that Johnny Law was putting bible-toting grandmothers under criminal surveillance. But instead to pay a visit to our former news editor’s office.

 

Here’s the backstory: Christian Action Network (CAN) fired off a FOIA to the Treasury Department after Congressman Jim Jordan, head of the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, rang this alarm bell in January:

 

“Did you shop at Bass Pro Shop yesterday or purchase a Bible? If so, the federal government may be watching you.”

 

It was a chilling revelation. The watchlist, a tool of surveillance and investigation, was hidden within the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).

 

Our request was straightforward: we wanted records from FICen about their illegal act of collecting names of Bible purchasers, a clear violation of the 1974 Privacy Act.

 

Their response? A classic bureaucratic slow walk. We were forced to wait nearly six months when they legally have 20 working days to respond. After patiently waiting a half-year, they finally sent a letter flat-out denying our FOIA request.

 

Their reasoning? Releasing such info would mess with criminal law enforcement.

 

Their message was clear: If you bought a bible, you’re a potential criminal.

 

The article hit like a storm, sending our readership numbers soaring and our Substack subscriber count through the roof.

 

But the plot thickens.

 

Less than a week post-publication, our ex-editor, Alec Rooney, found himself under the FBI’s microscope. Alec, a seasoned journalist with stints in major dailies across Tampa and Roanoke, had covered Trump’s fiery speech during the January 6, 2021 “Save America March,” a rally that led to a storming of the Capitol by some attendees.

 

His editorial coverage painted a target on his back, marking him as a person of interest for the FBI, simply doing his job. In the Spring of 2022, the FBI contacted him, wanting to ask him some unspecified questions.

 

Given the rampant roundup and arrests of rally attendees on various charges—ranging from the serious to the absurdly trivial, like trespassing—we advised a lawyer-up approach. The FBI got the message and backed off, and there was dead silence for the next two years.

 

Fast forward nearly four years from that rally and days after our Bible-purchasing story, and they’re hounding Alec again.

The Gateway Pundit reported on the arrest of an Arizona grandmother, Norma Thornton, 78, in 2022 for feeding homeless people in public, violating Arizona law.

 

The grandmother said that she was so shocked about being arrested that she thought it was a joke.

IJ now reports that a new ruling from a U.S. district court has concluded that the law in Bullhead City, Arizona, making it a crime to share food in public parks for “charitable purposes” is constitutional.

 

IJ Senior Attorney Paul Avelar shared, “Americans have a constitutional right to engage in charitable activities and cities can’t pass laws that outlaw doing so. The district court failed to grapple with the fact that charity is deeply rooted in American history, and we look forward to proving to the appeals court that Bullhead City’s actions criminalizing charity violate Norma’s right to help others.”

 

The district court ruled that “the right to serve one’s community, while important, is not a fundamental right.”

 

For decades, Norma has helped the less fortunate in various cities, a passion that continued when she retired and moved to Bullhead City.

 

“Being told that I cannot feed the hungry is absolutely heartbreaking to me, which is why I will continue fighting against this unjust law,” she shared. “All I want to do is help people in my community, so they can survive and get back on their feet. It makes no sense for the city to prevent me from doing so.”

 

Per IJ:

 

Bullhead City’s law was passed in 2021 and requires a permit for the sharing of prepared food in public parks as part of a “non-social gathering” motivated by “charitable purposes.” This is not really a “permit” requirement, however, but a ban: Obtaining a permit is expensive and, even with a permit, the city allows people to share food only once per month. Meanwhile, because the law applies only to sharing food for a “charitable purpose,” Norma is allowed to throw a pizza party in Community Park for 50 of her friends without limitation. But once she offers food for charity, she runs afoul of the ordinance. Each violation of the law is punishable with a fine of up to $1,431, 120 days in jail and 24 months of probation.

 

“Homelessness is a multifaceted issue, but criminalizing efforts to help is absolutely the wrongsolution,” said IJ Attorney Suranjan Sen. “Government should be encouraging and facilitating Norma’s efforts, not threatening her with jailtime.”

 

Norma and her attorneys from IJ will appeal the decision.

Vincent Fusca Caused Accident on Route 22 crash in Salem that killed man

A three-vehicle crash last month on Route 22 in Salem that killed an 81-year-old man remains under investigation, according to state police.

 

John H. Meyer of Plum, who was a passenger in a Honda sport utility vehicle driven by his wife, Elinor, 79, was killed in the 10:29 a.m. Sept. 27 crash at the intersection with Route 819, according to state Trooper Joshua Abernathy.

 

Both Meyers were extricated from their vehicle and transported to Forbes Hospital in Monroeville for treatment of multiple injuries. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office reported Meyer died Oct. 1 of blunt force injuries suffered in the crash.

 

According to a report released this week, Abernathy said the crash occurred as Vincent E. Fusca, 68, of Pittsburgh was driving a 2012 Ford passenger van eastbound in the left lane and approached a traffic signal at the intersection.

 

“(Fusca) was travelling at a speed where he was unable to stop for traffic stopped at the light,” Abernathy wrote.

 

Abernathy said the investigation showed Fusca swerved his van into the right lane and struck the Meyer sport utility vehicle. He said the force of the collision forced the Meyers’ vehicle into a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck driven by Jacob Grosser, 20, of Mt. Pleasant, that was stopped in the left lane.

 

The accident report said both Fusca’s van and the Meyers’s vehicle flipped onto their sides.

 

Abernathy reported that Fusca was taken by ambulance to UPMC Pittsburgh East hospital in Monroeville, where he was treated for a minor injury. Abernathy said Fusca will at least be cited for careless driving as the investigation continues.

 

Police said Grosser was injured and treated at the scene. He was cited for driving on a suspended license, Abernathy reported.

 

All of the occupants in the vehicles were wearing seat belts, police said.

Trump will support Ukraine – Zelensky

Switzerland has voiced support for a joint roadmap by China and Brazil to end the Ukraine conflict.The revelation has raised eyebrows in Kiev, as officials vented frustration at an apparent change of heart by the Alpine nationthat hosted a Western-dominated Ukraine ‘peace summit’ this summer.

 

On Friday, China and Brazil tried to advance their bid to mediate hostilities at a 17-nation meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. In May, the two nations presented a joint proposal calling for de-escalation, negotiations, and an international peace conference recognized by both Russia and Ukraine.

 

Switzerland was one of the countries that attended the meeting as an observer, and in the aftermath of the sit-down,Foreign Ministry spokesman Nicolas Bideau told Reuters that Bern “supports this dynamic.”

 

He said that Switzerland viewed a reference to the UN Charter added to the plan as a game changer. “For us, this translates into a significant change in our view of these initiatives,” Bideau said, adding that “a concrete diplomatic effort organized by the Sino-Brazilian group could be of interest to us.”

 

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has criticized Switzerland’s stance on the plan, saying that “any initiatives that… do not guarantee the full restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity are unacceptable,” and denying that it makes a clear reference to the UN Charter. The Swiss-hosted summit on Ukraine revolved around several other points of Kiev’s formula, including nuclear and food security and prisoner exchanges. Russia was not invited to attend.

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in June that Moscow is ready to immediately open peace talks with Ukraine once it withdraws troops from Donbass and two of its other former regions and commit to neutral status. He later signaled that for the talks to begin, Russia would first have to expel Ukrainian forces from Kursk Region on the border.

Swiss festival censors film amid Ukrainian threats

The Foreign Ministry in Kiev claimed that showing the documentary ‘Russians at War’ would “ruin” the event’s reputation

 

The Zurich Film Festival has dropped a scheduled screening of a documentary about Russian soldiersdue to threats from Kiev, the newspaper Neue Zurcher Zeitung reported this week, citing a press statement.The decision was reportedly made over security concerns.

 

The documentary feature titled ‘Russians at War,’ filmed by directorAnastasia Trofimova with Canadian government funding, was due to be screened at the festival next week. The feature recounts the seven months Trofimova spent with a Russian military unit at the front in the Ukraine conflict.In the film, she brought to the fore the personal stories of the soldiers she met.

 

The documentary premiered earlier this month at the Venice Film Festival,instantly drawing criticism from Kiev, which branded it “Russian propaganda.” A planned screening at the Toronto International Film Festival was subsequently canceled due to claims that staff had received threats.

 

TheZurich festival said it was forced to drop the screening amid worries over the “safety of our audience, guests, partners and employees.” The decision was made shortly after a spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, posted a message on X demanding the documentary be removed from the festival’s program.

 

“We urge [Zurich Film Festival] organizers not to ruin the festival’s reputation by screening ‘Russians at War.’ This is a propaganda film that whitewashes war crimes, not a documentary,”Georgy Tikhy wrote in his post.However sources have told the Neue Zurcher Zeitung that festival organizers were pressured by representatives of the Ukrainian government and pro-Kiev activists, as well as by threats expressed via social networks.

 

Despite caving in, the festival announced that the film would remain eligible for prizes in the competition and that the jury would view it behind closed doors.

 

Trofimova previously explained thather goal in making the documentary was to refute the notion promoted by the West that all Russian soldiers are war criminals. She also said her film is expressly “anti-war,” and shows the “absolutely ordinary people” fighting in the Russian army. However, after the feature’s premiere in Venice, theUkrainian Ministry of Culture declared Trofimova a “threat to national security.”

RFK Jr. running mate Nicole Shanahan tells Roseanne Barr 'tech broke politics'

Nicole Shanahan, the Silicon Valley attorney who was Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s running mate before he suspended his presidential campaign, recently made an appearance on Roseanne Barr's podcast to share her insights into how the Democratic Party has become intertwined with major tech corporations in Silicon Valley.

 

Shanahan pointed to the 2016 election, specifically the blame placed by the tech world on Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for Hillary Clinton's loss to Donald Trump. "Mark Zuckerberg was blamed for the loss of Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump," she explained, referencing the Russia-gate scandal and the controversy surrounding Cambridge Analytica's use of Facebook data.

 

“This was made a massive deal in Silicon Valley. It changed everything,” Shanahan continued. “It made everyone realize in the valley that this little motley crew of wealthy millennial assholes were changing the entire landscape of geopolitics.”

 

Shanahan went on to describe how political fundraising in Silicon Valley transformed in the aftermath, with tech founders creating sophisticated, politically oriented organizations.

 

“There’s all these different strategic arms using tech to figure out how to win elections,” she said. “Mark Zuckerberg was made an example of for what never to do and he then became the poster boy for if your system is used to take down a democrat candidate, you will be held accountable for it.”

 

Reflecting on the broader impact, Shanahan remarked, “The way that it was looked at in 2016 was that tech broke politics…Tech broke politics and Silicon Valley was whipped into shape.”

 

“There was no coincidence that all of these big Democratic party bundlers and tech people popped up at the same time that all of these new requirements, social requirements, around tech popped up. It came hand in hand,” she said. She also explained that as politicians came into Silicon Valley, ex-employees were recruited to join Washington, including those who served in the Obama and Biden administrations. Shanahan claimed that “It started this whole new trend of… ‘we need Silicon Valley to shape up and participate and represent the Democratic Party.’”

 

Shanahan’s comments come at a time when Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly chosen not to endorse any candidate in the current election. Zuckerberg also informed Congress last month that he would not be donating funds to local election efforts, unlike in 2020, when he contributed $400 million. While Zuckerberg has faced criticism from conservatives for his adherence to Democratic Party demands in the past, he has recently attempted to walk back his involvement in politics in an appeal to right-wing media and has claimed to be a Libertarian.

Have to fill the old mines

 

Most underground mining in our state ended more than 100 years ago. There are literally hundreds of abandoned historic mines in North Carolina. We know where a lot of these abandoned historic mines are, but not all, and that can be a problem. The North Carolina Mining Act of 1971 requires mining operations (below and above ground) to acquire permits so there is now a record of where modern mining operations occur.

 

Another problem is that when you look at the surface of the ground, it is almost impossible to tell exactly in what direction and how deep mine workings go. Tunnels and shafts can extend hundreds of feet underground. Even if we know where an old mine starts, we do not always know where it goes underground. Old maps may be inaccurate and old mines may be inaccessible or too dangerous to enter. Modern technology, such as ground-penetrating radar, may be able to detect the extent of the mine workings. If these workings collapse underground, the land surface could sink, cracking building foundations, or the land could fall into the caved-in area forming a “sinkhole” or collapse hole.

 

Abandoned mine collapses are relatively rare, but with urban development spreading quickly across our state, it is important to know the locations of old mines. Building above an abandoned mine can be dangerous if the mine is weak or near the ground surface. On Feb. 18, 2000, a collapse hole developed in the front yard of a house in Cabarrus County.

 

The hole was above the old Phoenix Gold Mine, which closed in 1906. In the 1980s a suburban golf course community was built over the mine. Fortunately, the house was not built directly over the part of the mine that collapsed. The hole was only about 12 feet deep but the mine, according to historic records, went down much further
