Minneapolis Police Dept Hires First Noncitizen Police Officer, Elon Musk Posts Dire Warning
Four years ago, protesters set a Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) station on fire during the George Floyd riots. Hundreds of officers have left the MPD since Floyd died from a fentanyl overdose, yet the media continues to falsely claim it was murder. Amid calls to ādefundā the MPD, the City Council moved $1.1 million from the police to the health department to fund āviolence interruptersā who would mediate conflicts and head off further trouble.
The MPD has struggled to recruit new officers until it boosted salaries by nearly 22% over three years. The new recruits can expect to earn $85,000 by their third year.
The MPD swore in its first noncitizen officer, Lesly Vera, who is reported to be a legal, permanent US resident who holds a green card, but she is not a citizen. She was born in Mexico and grew up in Minneapolis. The MPD also hired its first Somali female officer, Ikran Mohamed.
Elon Musk cautioned Americans by noting the alarming similarity between the United States and the Roman Empire, which fell in 476 AD.

Alex Jonesā InfoWars to Be Auctioned Off to Pay Sandy Hook Parents, Sets Bad Precedent
Alex Jones was the defendant in several defamation lawsuits brought by some of the parents of children who were reportedly killed in the Sandy Hook shooting event in 2012. Alex Jones failed to comply with discovery that resulted in summary judgements in the cases and led critics to question his non-compliance. Astronomical awards for damages in the cases totaled $1.5 billion, setting a precedent. He says the ālawfareā lawsuits were used as show trials to frighten people to censor their speech.
It was reported that Jones offered to settle the cases for $55 million over 10 years, but the plaintiffs refused the offer. A judge ordered that Jonesā website, InfoWars, and social media sites be auctioned off to pay the plaintiffs. The auction is set for November 13, 2024. -JW Williams
