>armed militia groups "hunting FEMA"

lazy m'fuckers just wanna do 9-5 minimal service, Glenn Beck did a report on 'em setting up in some random parking lot in Asheville so peeps could fill out forms to receive "aid" (the $750 "grant"?). Did not publicize their presence, saying "that's the media's job."

Glenn Beck exposes FEMA’s shocking incompetence, chaos in real-time visit to N. Carolina

Conservative radio show host Glenn Beck had little good news to share after a visit late this week to Western North Carolina.

Speaking on BlazeTV this Friday, he went into detail about the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA’s) disastrous response to Hurricane Helene. He noted, for instance, that he’d only seen one FEMA truck since his arrival in N.C., and that it was “tucked away” and hard to spot.

In the video, Beck asked a FEMA representative how exactly locals in need were supposed to find them given that they were stationed off the main road and very difficult to locate.

The rep said locals should use FEMA’s app to register for help. The problem, of course, is that few in the area even have access to the Internet at this point.

The rep also argued it was the “news media’s job” to help locals find them. But again, few in the area have access to TV at this point. The rep even suggested locals listen to their car radio for updates, but once again, many families lost their cars in the flooding.

At one point, the rep told Beck that they — FEMA — planned to go “door to door” soon to find and help those in need.

“When will that start?” Beck then asked.

“That’s way above my head,” the rep replied. “Do you want to talk to my crew lead?”

Guess what happened next. The rep retrieved the crew leader, who in turn admitted, “We don’t necessarily go door to door.”

I understand the difference between state and federal crimes. But in the presser, Sheriff acted so damn casual about it, on one hand saying he'd prevented an assassination and on the other, saying "oh yeah, guy was released."
