With under 100 days until Election Day and ahead of the Democratic National Convention, the DNC announced a significant six-figure investment in Democrats VoteFromAbroad, for the first time ever in a Presidential cycle, helping fund their efforts to win the votes of approximately 9,000,000 Americans– of which only about 8% are registered voters from 2020 – who are living or serving outside of the United States.

Here’s the problem with the DNC’s stated goal:

The DNC’s stated goal of winning the votes of approximately 9 million Americans through its Democrats Abroad website seems impossible, given that according to a recent report by the federal government FVAP website, only 4.4 million US citizens reside overseas, and only 2.8 million of those are of voting age.

Reuters recently wrote about the DNC’s plan to spend $300,000 to register “9 million” UOCAVA voters leading up to the 2024 election. According to the government website FVAP, there are only 2.8 million eligible UOCAVA voters. Let’s assume that half of those eligible voters would vote Democrat (a generous assumption given the state of the US economy); that’s only 1.4 million eligible voters in the 2024 election. The 1.4 million number doesn’t account for how they would vote or even if they would vote, given that a meager number of eligible overseas voters actually vote.

Curiously, the DNC memo claims that “over 1.6 million Americans from the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin” live overseas, adding that they plan to “fight for every vote.”

They share the chart with their UOCAVA population estimates for each battleground state.

Bild has now revealed that a Ukrainian official involved in weapons procurement claimed “a few months ago” that Kiev was willing to go nuclear.

Russia Issues Forceful Warning Against Planned Israeli Strike On Iran

Russian MPs vote to ban ‘child-free propaganda’

Lawmakers have unanimously backed legislation to tackle the promotion of childlessness in the media and online

According to Volodin, 388 legislators backed the bill, with no votes against. The draft law proposes adding “child-free” ideology to six existing laws banning “pedophilia, LGBT and gender reassignment propaganda,” the official said.

“We continue to create a unified legal space to protect children, families and traditional values,” Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel. “It is important to protect people, especially the younger generation, from the ideology of refusing to have children imposed through the Internet, media, films and advertising.”

The legislation will introduce administrative fines for spreading “child-free ideology” of up to 400,000 rubles (about $4,100) for individuals, up to 800,000 rubles ($8,200) for officials and up to five million rubles ($51,000) for entities which promote such ideas, the State Duma chairman said.

Elvira Aitkulova, a member of the State Duma Committee on Education, suggested during the discussion in parliament that with the newly passed bill, Russian “families will have freedom of choice without pressure from media.”

According to Yury Boyarsky, a member of the ruling United Russia Party, ideology that promotes not having children runs counter to the national policy on protection of motherhood and childhood.

Presenting the bill, MPs insisted that it would only target the dissemination of “destructive” child-free ideology, rather than personal lifestyle choices.

“The decision on whether to have children or not should be made by a woman,” Volodin stressed. “But there should be no propaganda which puts pressure on a woman when she makes a decision to have a child, as it is happening now in the US and Europe.”

The bill banning “propaganda of the ideology of childlessness” was introduced to the State Duma in September. To become a law, it has to pass two more readings in the lower house, gain approval in the upper house, and be signed by the president.

Earlier, the initiative was backed by Valentina Matvienko, speaker of the upper chamber of the Russian parliament, the Federation Council. Matvienko criticized modern feminism, stating that it has turned into a “struggle against men” and “traditional values.”

The governments of the United States and Canada said this week that a group tied to the anti-Israel protests on college campuses nationwide is tied to a terrorist group.

U.S. Department of the Treasury stated in a press release on Tuesday that the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network is a “sham charity that serves as an international fundraiser for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist organization.” Treasury named Samidoun a terrorist entity in conjunction with Canada, a designation that makes it illegal for Americans to have a financial relationship with the group.

“Organizations like Samidoun masquerade as charitable actors that claim to provide humanitarian support to those in need, yet in reality divert funds for much-needed assistance to support terrorist groups,” Acting Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Bradley T. Smith said.

The Department of the Treasury said the Vancouver-based Samidoun is a “front for the [PFLP] in countries where the PFLP is declared a terrorist organization. While the organization ostensibly supports Palestinian prisoners and their family members, in practice Samidoun provides financial support to the sanctioned PFLP.”

It said PFLP is “committed to terrorist activity through its armed apparatus, the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, and the group has been active in the Israel-Hamas conflict, to include participating in the horrific attacks against Israeli civilians on October 7, 2023.”

Samidoun co-founder Charlotte Kates told NBC earlier this month that “there’s nothing wrong with being a member of Hamas,” and was seen at a rally saying, “Long live October 7th.” She referenced “colonialism” — language that has become popular among U.S. left-wing activists on college campuses — more than 40 times in an interview with NBC.

Also on Tuesday, Canada specifically named Kates’ husband, Khaled Barakat, as a member of PFLP’s leadership. PFLP is a Marxist-Leninist group.

Samidoun used the Arizona-based Alliance for Global Justice (AFGJ) as a financial pass-through in the United States. Last month, House Republicans asked the IRS to rescind the nonprofit status of the “anti-capitalist” Alliance, whose status is also put at risk by the Treasury designating Samidoun a terrorist group.

The Capital Research Center, which authored a report on the financial backing of the college campus protests last month, highlighted Samidoun as a key group. CRC researcher Ryan Mauro wrote Wednesday that “AFGJ supports virtually every anti-U.S. government, including North Korea. It is fully supportive of the Iran-backed dictatorship in Syria and defends Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.”

CRC said the group has been funded by the Democratic Party’s biggest players, including the Tides Center, which has given $6.5 million to AFGJ since 2019; the Tides Foundation, which has given $3.62 million since 2018; the New Venture Fund, which has given $750,000 since 2020; and George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, which has given AFGJ $250,000.

Among examples of AFGJ’s involvement in campus demonstrations, CRC pointed to Columbia University, where “In March, Kates, Barakat, and [Within Our Lifetime] leader Nerdeen Kiswani held a joint event for Columbia University Apartheid Divest, a pro-terrorism coalition of over 115 groups. The three spoke in support of terrorism, especially PFLP, with Barakat hailing airplane hijackings as “one of the most important tactics that the Palestinian resistance have engaged in.”

Over 3 Million Australians Face Food Insecurity in 2024 - Food Relief Organization

The number of Australians facing food insecurity has reached 3.4 million this year, marking a protracted food crisis in the country, Australian food relief organization Foodbank said.

"In 2024, 32% of Australian households (an estimated 3.4 million households) experienced food insecurity (either moderate or severe). Food insecurity appears to be recovering from a high in 2023 (36%), returning to relatively similar levels seen in 2022 (33%)," the organization said in its annual report released on Tuesday.

The statement added that around 2 million households are experiencing severe food insecurity.

"This is no longer a crisis of temporary hardship but a prolonged, systemic issue affecting millions of Australians. These households live with the daily anxiety of not knowing where their next meal will come from, forced to choose between essentials like food, housing and utilities," the head of the organization, Brianna Casey, noted.

According to the report, "97% of respondents were worried about running out of food before they had the money to buy it, and 93% could not afford "balanced meals."

Food insecurity is a global problem. The United Nations said in 2023 that about 282 million, or 21.5% of the world's population, faced acute food insecurity. This figure reportedly increased by 24 million compared to 2022.

America's largest archdiocese has agreed to pay a record-breaking $880million to more than 1,000 people who were sexually abused as children by clergy members.

The settlement announced Wednesday by lawyers for the 1,353 people who have filed suits against the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and its attorneys represents the largest single payout by any diocese in the United States, according to the New York Times.

It also brings Los Angeles' cumulative total payouts in sex abuse lawsuits over a quarter of a century to more than $1.5billion.

Supreme Court justices are not supposed to be “politicians” the way elected officials are, as their job is to faithfully apply the Constitution as it is written.

In reality, however, these justices are still very much influenced by outside political forces, as they do not like being criticized by the media.

That’s why they have not been able to stop as many of Joe Biden’s liberal policies as one might expect, despite the immense power of the office that they hold.

To be sure, there are some justices on the Supreme Court who have the courage to stand up to Biden, and would relish the chance to do so.

But they sadly do not represent a majority, as there are other justices like John Roberts and Brett Kavanaugh who prefer to just play it safe.

This reality has reared its head yet again as new leaked information shows the Court may allow Biden to crack down on so-called “ghost guns.”

According to the BBC, “The US Supreme Court signalled its willingness to uphold a major gun control policy implemented by the Biden administration that regulates so-called ‘ghost guns’ in the same way as other firearms.

“The rule being challenged requires that ghost guns – largely untraceable firearms that can be assembled at home using kits – are subject to the same regulations as commercially-made firearms.

“Under that rule, ghost gun manufacturers are required to include serial numbers on the kits and perform background checks on the purchasers.”

The only possible reason the Biden administration could be so concerned about these guns is that they want all guns to be trackable.

They don’t like the idea that some people might own guns that they do not know about.

The article continues, “On Tuesday, in the first case of its term, the US’s top court considered whether this rule had been applied fairly to ghost guns, in a challenge brought by gun rights groups.

“All three of the courts’ liberal justices, as well as several of the six-member conservative majority, sounded skeptical of the challenge.”

“Conservative Justice Samuel Alito pressed Ms. Prelogar on the interpretation that a parts kit can be readily converted into a weapon that is regulated as a firearm.”

“But Chief Justice John Roberts, a conservative, seemed unconvinced by Mr. Patterson’s primary claim.”

The fact that Roberts is the main obstacle to getting conservative rulings on important issues is nothing new.

Roberts has spent practically his entire tenure on the Supreme Court trying to appease the left, and he is apparently doing it yet again in this important Second Amendment case.

It’s unfortunate that he, and other justices, are not committed to protecting the Constitution in full, and it leaves the Constitution open to even more attacks from the Biden administration.

McKinsey Nears $500 Million Settlement With DOJ Over Opioid Probe

McKinsey is going to be paying "at least $500 million" to settle probes into the company about its role in helping opioid makers boost their sales.
