The ex-CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch was arrested in South Florida on Tuesday morning and faces sex trafficking-related charges brought by federal prosecutors in New York, NBC News reported. This comes one year after former A&F CEO Mike Jeffries was accused of running a giant sex-trafficking ring that exploited young men who wanted to become models for the brand.

NBC said Jeffries' associates, Matthew Smith of West Palm Beach, Florida, and James Jacobson of Wisconsin, were also charged in connection with the sex trafficking case. This news comes hours before federal prosecutors in Brooklyn plan to hold a press conference to announce the arrests of a "former CEO of a major company" and two others in a "sex trafficking and interstate prostitution case."

In October 2023, A&F and the former CEO were sued. Court documents at the time depicted a horror story wherein Jeffries, the once-celebrated architect of the brand's provocative image, was accused of masterminding the despicable sex trafficking operation.

A BBC investigation in the fall of 2023 also revealed systematic abuse involving Jeffries' partner Matthew Smith, and associate James Jacobson, under the pretense of offering modeling gigs.

South Korea Mulls Sending Artillery Shells To Ukraine, Angry On Reports Of DPRK Troops There

South Korea has largely stayed on the sidelines for more than two years of the Ukraine-Russia war, but is increasingly getting vocal with new allegations that North Korea is sending troops to fight in Ukraine on Russia's behalf.

Seoul's "answer" to the north might be to weaponize the other side, by providing 155mm artillery shells to Ukraine. So far this has only allegedly been done indirectly, by routing the shells to the United States. Seoul has called the presence of DPRK troops in Ukraine a "serious security threat" to the international community, and demanded that Pyongyang withdraw them immediately. South Korean media is also reporting that Seoul could send intelligence advisers to assist the Ukrainian military.

First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Hong-kyun has reportedly summoned Russian Ambassador to South Korea Georgy Zinoviev to express Seoul's concerns over the alleged DPRK troop movements.

He warned his Russian counterpart that any military collaboration between Moscow and Pyongyang could destabilize the Korean Peninsula and would mark a violation of UN Security Council resolutions.

"South Korea will respond with every possible means, alongside the international community, to any acts that threaten our core security interests," Kim stated. The Russian side has downplayed the warnings, and conveyed that its view of who it is that contributes to destabilizing the Korean peninsula is different.

A defense source has pointed out that if Seoul decided to supply Ukraine with artillery shells, significant legal and bureaucratic hurdles would remain in the way:

South Korea’s Defense Procurement Act and Foreign Trade Act currently prohibit the transfer of arms and ammunition to Ukraine, either directly or through third parties. Both laws would need to be amended for the delivery of 155mm shells to be possible.

This development marks another chapter in South Korea’s internal debate on whether to support Ukraine militarily, which was first discussed in July 2023 and again in April 2022. However, despite this consideration, the likelihood of an immediate shift remains unclear as Ukraine continues to await the delivery of K600 mine-clearing tanks, which South Korea had previously pledged.

Head of Islamic State in Iraq eliminated – Baghdad

Abu Abdul Qader has been killed along with eight other senior IS leaders, according to the Iraqi prime minister

The announcement confirms a statement on the killing of Jassim Al-Mazrouei, also known as Abu Abdul Qader, issued by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) late last week.

In a post on X, the prime minister wrote, “I congratulate our honorable people on the killing of the so-called (Wali of Iraq) in the terrorist organization IS, and (8) of the organization’s senior leaders…”

Al-Sudani highlighted that the “exceptional operation” was carried out by the country’s counter terrorism and national security services under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command (JOC) in the Hamrin Mountains in northeastern Iraq.

The PM praised the security forces, stressing “There is no place for terrorists in Iraq. We will pursue them to their hideouts and eliminate them until the land of Iraq is cleansed of them and their heinous acts.”

The JOC said that the operation to eliminate the IS commanders was supported by technical assistance and intelligence from ‘Global Coalition’ forces.

Iraqi forces intensified their operations against IS in 2024. In an interview with Bloomberg last month, al-Sudani claimed that the Middle Eastern nation no longer needs US troops on its territory, because “Iraq in 2024 is not the same as Iraq in 2014” and added that “We have moved on from wars to stability.”

Germany detects first case of new mpox variant

The World Health Organization previously declared the infection a global public health emergency

Germany has reported its first case of a new mpox variant, according to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for public health. The health authority stressed that the risk to the wider population remains low.

A surge of cases of the viral illness appeared in several African nations in August, primarily in the Democratic Republic of Congo, prompting the World Health Organization to declare mpox a public health emergency of international concern.

While cases of two variants of the virus have since been reported in over 120 countries according to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, a particularly concerning variant dubbed clade 1b has so far only been identified in a handful of countries outside the DR Congo, including India, Thailand, and Sweden.

The WHO has described clade 1b as more contagious and more dangerous than previous variants, but public health experts have said that there is still too little reliable data to support the claim.

In a statement on Tuesday, RKI announced that the new variant of the virus had been detected for the first time in Germany on October 18, noting that the patient had acquired the infection abroad. The institute also pointed out that close physical contact was required for transmission.

Nevertheless, the health authority stressed that it “currently considers the risk to the health of the general population in Germany to be low,” and stated that it will continue to monitor the situation and adapt its assessment if needed.

Sweden to Give Blinken and Others Knighthoods for Roles in NATO Accession

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and former NATO secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg will be knighted in Sweden for their role in enabling the Scandinavian country to join the world’s largest military alliance. It was a historic realignment of Europe’s post-Cold War security landscape triggered by Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.

Blinken and Stoltenberg along with former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin and former Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto will receive the Royal Order of the Polar Star, given to foreign citizens and stateless persons “for extraordinary efforts for Swedish interests.”

“The awards are an expression of our great gratitude for the efforts of these people in connection with Sweden´s membership in NATO,” Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said Tuesday.

Sweden joined almost a year after Finland. Both ended decades of post-World War II neutrality and centuries of broader non-alignment with major powers.

INVASION: Over 30% of Cameras at US-Mexico Border Do Not Work

CBP says it is running blind at the southern border, with at least 150 surveillance cameras rendered 'inoperable.'

At least thirty percent of the Border Patrol’s cameras focused along the US-Mexico border are not functioning, according to a FaceBook memo posted by the National Border Patrol Council Local 2455.

“USBP HQ is aware that many camera towers along the borders are inoperable, and they are currently ‘working’ on fixing the issue,” wrote Local 2455 president Hector Garza on October 11. He continued:

News reported that the outage consists of almost 150 of the 500 cameras on roughly 300 surveillance towers monitoring the US southern border. The outlet claimed CBP officials pointed toward “outdated equipment and outstanding repair issues.”

The surveillance system, known as Remote Video Surveillance Systems, has been in place since 2011 to “survey large areas without having to commit hundreds of agents,” read the NBC News report. CBP officials told the outlet that repairs have been made this month, but there are over 150 inquiries for other camera repairs. The Border Patrol also insisted to NBC News that there is broken visibility at the border due to the lack of functioning cameras.

CBP continues to install newer, more advanced technology that embrace artificial intelligence and machine learning to replace outdated systems, reducing the need to have agents working non-interdiction functions.

Strangely, the problem is reportedly not solely with the Border Patrol but rather with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), according to NBC News. The FAA, which repairs the monitoring systems and cameras, has had “internal problems meeting the needs of the Border Patrol.”

The original memo obtained by NBC News indicates that the FAA will be sending assistance for the cameras and that the Border Patrol is considering replacing the FAA with “adequate technical support for the cameras.”

10 Different Analyses Confirm Huge Covid ‘Vaccine’ Deaths

Ten individual analyses, all using different methods, have now confirmed that Covid mRNA “vaccines” have caused alarming numbers of deaths.

The analyses were compiled by data expert and MIT scientist Steve Kirsch, the founder of the Vaccine Safety Research Foundation (VSRF).

Kirsch warns that the analyses prove that the “vaccines” were actually far more dangerous than the virus they were supposedly meant to tackle.

According to the multiple methods complied by Kirsch, the lowest Covid injection death toll is estimated to be above 200,000.

However, some of the analyses put this number far higher.

“Funny thing is, no matter which way you choose, you get the same answer: over 200,000,” Kirsch notes in a post on his Substack.

Here is a list of different methods to estimate the number of Americans killed by the Covid shots:

Big data analysis (Rancourt et al., 78 countries, see p286): 0.00127*672M doses= 853,000 deaths

Public survey (Skidmore): 217,000 in 2021 alone. No estimate for subsequent years.

VAERS: 120,000 + 70,000 = 190,000 deaths minimum.

Doctors interviewed by Kirsch: Estimates came in consistently at 4 to 5 per 1,000 vaccinated. Since there are 270M Americans who got the shot, this predicts 1.1M deaths.

Survey of medical practices: 3 per 1,000 vaccinated by excluding sites claiming 1% or more death rates. This predicts 810,000 deaths.

Paramedic survey (9 responses): If we ignore all the high reports, the average of the five remaining reporting 5 or fewer Covid vaccine deaths was 2.5. Since there are 100,000 paramedics, this suggests that 250,000 deaths would be a conservative estimate. Ignoring the largest two reports as outliers, the average was 6 suggesting that as many as 600,000 deaths is a ballpark estimate of the true number.

Israeli Missile Strikes Kills Six Women and Children in Eastern Lebanon Neighborhood

All slain are members of the same family, at least 8 others wounded

Israeli attacks continue to escalate across Lebanon, with air strikes targeting not just military targets, but also hitting residential neighborhoods. Today, two missiles struck a house in the densely populated al-Nabi An’am neighborhood of Baalbek, a major city in eastern Lebanon.

The strike killed six members of the Othman family, all women and children, and wounded at least eight other civilians. There was no indication that anything other than the civilian house was hit.

Israel, as is increasingly the case, offered no comments on the matter. Recent strikes have been presented as targeting Hezbollah, especially attacks on civilian neighborhoods. But there was no suggestion any Hezbollah were in the al-Nabi An’am area at the time.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry confirmed the incident, saying the strike killed six civilians, “including a child.” The state-run National News Agency also added that the house belonged to Ali Abdo Othman.

Dozens of Palestinians Killed as Israel Intensifies Attacks on Northern Gaza

Dozens of Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in northern Gaza on Monday as Israel is intensifying its attacks on the area in an effort to forcibly displace hundreds of thousands of civilians as part of an ethnic cleansing plan.

Medical sources told Turkey’s Anadolu Agency that at least 29 Palestinians were killed in northern Gaza on Monday. Later in the day, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that at least 44 Palestinians were killed in the north, and a total of 57 were killed across the Strip.

Israeli Ministers Call for Expulsion of Palestinians at ‘Resettle Gaza’ Conference

The conference was organized by a settler organization and members of Prime Minister Netanyahu's Likud party

On Monday, Israeli Knesset members and senior government ministers attended a conference on re-establishing Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip that was held in southern Israel near the Gaza border.

The conference, titled “Preparing to Resettle Gaza,” was organized by the Israeli settler organization Nachala and members of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party.

At least ten out of the 32 Likud party members in the Israeli Knesset were set to attend the conference, including May Golan, who is in Netanyahu’s government as the minister for Social Equality and the Advancement of the Status of Women.

In a speech at the rally, which drew hundreds of attendees, Golan vowed Palestinians in Gaza would face another “Nakba,” referring to the ethnic cleansing of Palestinian Arabs when the modern state of Israel was formed in 1948.

“We will hit them where it hurts – their land,” Golan said, according to Haaretz. “Anyone who uses their plot of land to plan another Holocaust will receive from us, with God’s help, another Nakba that they will tell their children and their grandchildren about for the next 50 years.”

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, leader of the Jewish Power party, also delivered a speech at the conference, and he received a very warm welcome. Haaretz reported that attendees broke out in chants of “Look over here, it’s our next Prime Minister” and “Death penalty for terrorists,” referring to Ben Gvir’s calls to execute Palestinian prisoners to make room in Israeli prisons.

In his speech, Ben Gvir said, “We will encourage the voluntary transfer of all Gazan citizens. We will offer them the opportunity to move to other countries because that land belongs to us.”

Ben Gvir and other proponents of conquering Gaza have framed their idea as “voluntary” for the Palestinians, but the Israeli military campaign has made most of Gaza uninhabitable. Palestinians in northern Gaza are currently facing Israeli evacuation orders to move to the south under the threat of death by military action or starvation.

Other Israeli ministers who attended the conference include Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Yitzhak Wasserlauf, the minister for the development of the Negev and Galilee.

Meta's Israel Policy Chief Pushed to Censor Pro-Palestine Content, Internal Docs Reveal

Jordana Cutler, a long-time senior Israeli government official who advised Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud party, was hired by Meta to be their "Jewish Diaspora" policy chief and uses her position to "demand censorship of Israel's critics."

A former senior Israeli government official now working as Meta's Israel policy chief personally pushed for the censorship of Instagram accounts belonging to Students for Justice in Palestine – a group that has played a leading role in organizing campus protests against Israel's ongoing war in Gaza.

Internal policy discussions reviewed by The Intercept show Jordana Cutler, Meta's Israel & the Jewish Diaspora policy chief, used the company's content escalation channels to flag for review at least four SJP posts, as well as other content expressing stances contrary to Israel's foreign policy. When flagging SJP posts, Cutler repeatedly invoked Meta's Dangerous Organizations and Individuals policy, which bars users from freely discussing a secret list of thousands of blacklisted entities. The Dangerous Organizations policy restricts "glorification" of those on the blacklist, but is supposed to allow for "social and political discourse" and "commentary."

It's unclear if Cutler's attempts to use Meta's internal censorship system were successful; the company declined to say what ultimately happened to posts that Cutler flagged. It's not Cutler's decision whether flagged content is ultimately censored; another team is responsible for moderation decisions. But experts who spoke to The Intercept expressed alarm over a senior employee tasked with representing the interests of any government advocating for restricting user content that runs contrary to those interests.

Meta banned the Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine from Instagram in August.

In a statement, spokesperson Dani Lever wrote "who flags a particular piece of content for review is irrelevant because our policies govern what is and isn't allowed on platform. In fact, the expectation of many teams at Meta, including Public Policy, is to escalate content that might violate our policies when they become aware of it, and they do so across regions and issue areas. Whenever any piece of content is flagged, a separate team of experts then reviews whether it violates our policies."

Cutler did not respond to a request for comment; Meta declined a request to interview her.

Lever said that The Intercept's line of questioning "deliberately misrepresents how our processes work," but declined to say how so.

Cutler joined Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, in 2016 after years of high-level work in the Israeli government. Her resume includes several years at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., where she worked in public affairs and as its chief of staff from 2013 to 2016, as well as a stint as a campaign adviser for the right-wing Likud party and nearly five years as an adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Upon her hiring in 2016, Gilad Erdan, then minister of public security, strategic affairs and information, celebrated the move, saying it marked "an advance in dialogue between the State of Israel and Facebook."

In interviews about her job, Cutler has stated explicitly that she acts as a liaison between Meta and the Israeli government, whose perspectives she represents inside the company.

In 2017, Cutler told the Israeli business outlet Calcalist that Facebook works "very closely with the cyber departments of the Ministry of Justice and the police and with other elements in the army and Shin Bet," Israel's domestic intelligence agency, on matters of content removal. "We are not the experts, they are in the field, this is their field."

A woman has attacked a baby while her mother was holding her in a shocking random attack at a Perth shopping centre.

Western Australian Police are urgently appealing for information in relation to the incident inside the shopping centre in East Victoria Park on Tuesday.

“About 1.25pm, a female approached a mother who was holding her child, before assaulting the child and leaving the area,” WA Police said in a statement.

“The female is not known to the mother and child.”
