A Democrat voter was arrested for making death threats against Donald Trump the day before he appeared at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Paul J. Gavenonis, 74, who uses female pronouns, was detained after she was overheard making the remarks while trying to obtain a parking pass at Penn State University.
Gavenonis declared, 'I hate Donald Trump, I'd like to shoot that guy' according to police, who say she also mimed a 'racking gun motion' with her hands, the Lexington Herald Leader reports.
Gavenonis has been charged with misdemeanor counts of terror threats and disorderly conduct.
She was reported by the clerk who issued the parking pass after Gavenonis described climbing to the top of a building and said 'you can't take a gun in or the students will see it'.
It was not clear if she was attempting to buy a parking pass for the day of the rally.
Penn state police and the Secret Service interviewed Gavenonis after the incident was reported.
During the interview, she reportedly laughed and joked about targeting Trump at the rally, even saying: 'Frankly, I hope somebody would get him', according to police.
She was booked in to Centre County Correctional Facility on Friday pending a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
Trump appeared at the Bryce Jordan Center in Centre County in front of thousands supporters on Saturday.
It was the second time he narrowly avoided danger in the Keystone State after surviving an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania earlier this year.

Scarborough recalled the former president attacking him in May 2020 over the 2001 death of Lori Klausutis while speaking on his show 'Morning Joe' on Tuesday.
Klausutis had been working for Scarborough, who was back then a GOP congressman, when she died in his Florida district office after falling and hitting her head.
Trump has consistently implied there was more to the incident and that Scarborough had played a part in her death, a notion that has been debunked.
'When Donald Trump decided to attack me because he didn’t like my COVID coverage and he lied about a woman who worked in my office and claimed that we were involved and that I had her killed,' Scarborough began his rant.

A Republican state representative allegedly choked his wife after she confronted him and his mistress about their affair in Maine.
Lucas Lanigan, 45, of Springvale, turned himself at the York County Jail around 9:30am on Monday after he allegedly choked his wife for 'approximately 20 seconds,' Sergeant Jeremy Riddle said in an affidavit, viewed by Bangor Daily News.
His wife, Catalina Lanigan, 43, confronted her husband on Friday at the Springvale Safe Storage on River Street shortly before 1pm, where the pair got into an argument before he allegedly tried to strangle her.
She managed to escape the attack and return home, where she called friends and later reported the assault to police around 3pm, according to the local outlet.
The mother was taken to the Maine Medical Center in Portland for an examination, which found bruising around her neck and small marks on her face, nose, and mouth that was consistent with bleeding under the skin, the affidavit said.
An arrest warrant was issued for the Republican, who turned himself into jail on Monday after returning from a business trip, he claimed, according to the Bangor Daily News.
