The X owner apparently concurs with claims that some of the resource’s articles unjustifiably tie Donald Trump to fascist ideology

Wikipedia is “broken,” X and Tesla owner Elon Musk wrote on Tuesday, commenting on accusations that the online encyclopedia allows articles which essentially brand Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump a “fascist.”

The billionaire, who recently offered his full support to the previous US president ahead of the November election, highlighted an article called ‘Wikipedia Editors Officially Deem Trump a Fascist’ by American writer Ashley Rindsberg.

The article published on Pirate Wires drew attention to several Wikipedia entries, including ‘Trumpism’, ‘Racial views of Donald Trump’, and ‘Donald Trump and fascism’, noting that the latter page appeared on the same day that The Guardian published a 4,000-word essay called “Is Donald Trump a Fascist?” alluding to many similar points.

The page ‘Donald Trump and fascism’ also contains some of the more pointed accusations against the Republican, including comparisons between the January 6 attack by the then president’s supporters on Capitol Hill and the Beer Hall Putsch, a failed coup attempt by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler in 1923.

Rindsberg noted that the ‘Trumpism’ Wikipedia page writes that the supposed ideology “has significant authoritarian leanings,” and is “national-populist” and “neo-nationalist” in essence while relying on “a source that argues exactly the opposite.” He added that some of the key quotes in the ‘Trumpism’ article are sourced to late sociologist Richard Lachmann, who was described as a “committed leftist” and “an anti-imperialist.”

North Carolina appeals court on Tuesday rebuffed the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) request to not process certain overseas ballots in the upcoming election unless the voter shows they were previously a resident of the key battleground state.

A news station in Pennsylvania was forced to apologize for flashing up the US presidential election results in the state as part of a “test” that wasn’t supposed to be seen by viewers.

WNEP, an ABC affiliate, flashed up the results for Pennsylvania during its broadcast of the Formula 1 race in Mexico City and they were on screen for several minutes.

80,000 Evacuate Ancient Lebanese City Of Baalbek As Israel Unleashes Huge Airstrikes

Huge Israeli airstrikes rocked Lebanon's eastern city of Baalbek on Wednesday, nearly 70km northeast of Beirut, after Israel warned some 80,000 residents to evacuate.

It was the first such call to evacuate on such a large scale from Israel's military (IDF) in this location (and so far north, significantly away from frontlines in southern Lebanon) since the war began, and main roads out of the city have been jammed and chaotic throughout the day.

"The city is almost empty," an AFP correspondent described soon after the evacuation warning. Prior bombings in the same area (Bekaa Valley) left at least 60 people dead on Monday.

Washington Resident Says She Received 16 Ballots With Different Names

A woman from the state of Washington claims she received 16 ballots addressed to her apartment, each of them listing a different name.

Jami Visaya said the first stack of ballots arrived Friday, KING 5, a local NBC affiliate, reported Tuesday. She moved into the Bellevue apartment Oct. 3, she told the outlet.

“There were about nine voter registration ballots that were not mine,” Visaya told the outlet. “They were addressed to other people, and so I thought that was strange, so I ended up returning them to the post office here.”

The US Is Funding 70% of Israel’s Wars

A new report by the Israeli outlet Calcalist reviewed Israeli military spending on wars since October 7, finding that Washington is funding 70% of Tel Aviv’s military costs. In a little over a year, the US has provided Israel with more than $20 billion in military aid.

“The scope of American aid since the beginning of the war is about 85 billion shekels… According to official estimates by the Bank of Israel, the total cost of the war is…approximately NIS 118 billion.” It continues, “Therefore, according to a simple calculation, The Americans financed about 70% of the war effort.”

According to the Cost of War Project, the US has given Israel $22.57 billion in military aid since the Hamas attack. Calcalist concludes without US support, Tel Aviv’s war would simply be unaffordable.

“There is no doubt that without the American aid the government deficit for the years 2024-2025 (which is one of the highest in the country’s history), would have increased by about 4.3 % GDP, which would have made it unfinanceable,” it says. “Therefore, it is doubtful whether this war would have been conducted as it is – neither in intensity nor in scope – without the American assistance.”

The US has sent Israel tens of thousands of bombs, artillery rounds, and tank shells. Those weapons have been used to commit countless war crimes against the Palestinian people of Gaza.

The official death toll in the besieged enclave now exceeds 43,000. However, a group of American healthcare workers who have spent time volunteering in Gaza estimate the actual death count to be over 118,000.

Dr Tammy Abughanim, a pediatric intensive-care surgeon, said, “We cannot do our jobs, because Israel has made our jobs impossible, and Israel has made our jobs impossible with the direct support of the United States.” She added, “We all know the obvious step is to stop supplying Israel with the arms that it is using, the weaponry that it is using to target and kill civilians.”

At least 115 Palestinians were killed by Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, medical sources told WAFA, the vast majority being killed by an attack on an apartment building in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.

Many of the people wounded in the strike were dying due to the lack of medical resources in the area, which has been under total siege since early October as Israel is attempting to carry out an ethnic cleansing plan in northern Gaza. The nearby Kamal Adwan hospital was recently attacked by Israeli forces and is unable to treat the wounded.

Ten Civilians, Mostly Women and Children, Killed in Israeli Attack on Lebanese Coastal Town

Five more civilians also slain in evening attack on nearby town of Herat Saida

Israeli airstrikes continued against the southern coast of Lebanon today, hitting the small coastal town of Sarafand. The town’s mayor reported at least 10 civilians had been killed, nearly all women and children.

The Lebanese Health Ministry reported a lower death toll earlier in the day but added that rescue operations were still underway. The ministry also said that at least 21 other civilians were wounded in the attack.

Israel did not comment on the attack on Sarafand. The IDF has a general policy of “not commenting” on Israeli strikes first reported in the foreign media, which includes virtually all Israeli strikes against civilian targets.

Israel attacks are taking place throughout Lebanon and have killed thousands. Israel has also issued mass evacuation orders, affecting many of the highly populated areas in the country. Over a million people have been displaced by these orders.

Later on Tuesday evening, Israel carried out a follow-up attack in the Sarafand area, this time hitting the town of Haret Saida, killing at least five civilians. Thirty-three were also wounded in the attack, and as the Health Ministry advises these are preliminary numbers, they’re likely to climb.

Haret Saida was the target of multiple airstrikes earlier on Sunday, with a number of civilians killed then as well. This strike was noteworthy because Haret Saida was not listed in any of Israel’s many evacuation orders, but that didn’t seem to stop the IDF from attacking a civilian target.

Citing war, Netanyahu expected to request delay to testimony in corruption trial

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to request that the Jerusalem District Court postpone the date on which he begins to give testimony in his corruption trial, several Hebrew media reported Wednesday.

Netanyahu is scheduled to begin testifying on December 2 with the beginning of his legal team’s defense after the prosecution rested earlier this year. This testimony is expected to last several hours a day and take weeks to complete.

The prime minister is reportedly seeking to delay his testimony on the grounds that the exigencies of the ongoing, multi-front war preclude him from spending all day in court, Kan News reported

Additionally, Netanyahu’s lawyers will reportedly contend that the prime minister cannot stand trial in the Jerusalem District Court since it does not have a strong room or bomb shelter. Netanyahu’s private home was targeted in a Hezbollah drone attack earlier this month.

“It’s the first health agency in America to do that,” Laura Demaray, a Southwest Idaho resident and nurse who attended the Oct. 22 vote, told The Defender.

Miste Karlfeldt, executive director of Health Freedom Idaho, agreed that the board’s vote is historic. “It’s thrilling,” she told The Defender.

The board’s vote came after it received about 300 public comments urging the district, which encompasses six counties, to stop promoting the shots.

Just before the board voted, members heard presentations from cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough, pathologist Dr. Ryan Cole, pediatrician Dr. Renata Moon and obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. James Thorp on safety concerns related to the COVID-19 vaccines.

Dr. John Tribble, the board’s only physician, invited them to speak.

“Dr. Tribble was a very brave board member who is very aware of the harms of the COVID injection,” said Demaray. “He asked me to help gather the presenters.”

Demaray, who said she knows many people injured by the COVID-19 vaccines, and others reached out to experts who could present data related to COVID-19 vaccine harms to the board. “It was total teamwork.”

Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense CEO, applauded the board’s action:

“After hearing from 300 constituents, listening to well-informed physicians and assessing the public record, the Southwest Idaho Health District Board made an informed decision not to stock its own clinics with COVID shots.”

Demaray and Holland pointed out that the board didn’t take away anyone’s freedom to get a COVID-19 vaccine. “If residents want, they can obtain the shots from other pharmacies and doctors’ offices,” Holland said.

Demaray said the board’s decision showed “there’s some distrust in this shot.” She added:

“If a health district is giving a shot in their own clinics, then it means they believe in the shot and they don’t think somebody will get hurt. It means they support it tacitly.”

Holland said, “The Health District Board was conveying its values to the public — ‘these products are unsafe and we do not promote them’ — and the board was within its authority to do this.”

A precedent for other health agencies?

Tribble told The Defender some of the backstory leading up to the historic vote. “The people of this district were demanding answers,” he said. “Many came forward with heartbreaking stories of vaccine injury.”

After listening to its residents, the board members felt it was important to allow “the free and open discussion and evaluation of the evidence for and against the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine.”

In addition to hearing presentations from McCullough, Moon, Cole and Thorp, the board also heard from district staff physician Dr. Perry Jansen who recommended keeping the vaccine on the district’s clinic shelves.

Syrian Army Shot Down Ten Drones Over Idlib, Aleppo

The air defenses of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) shot down ten drones over the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo, the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced on October 30.

In a brief statement, the ministry said that the drones were launched by “armed terrorist groups” with the aim of “attacking army points and the surrounding safe villages and towns.”

Most of Idlib countryside and the western countryside of Aleppo are a part of the so-called Greater Idlib region which is occupied by al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). The terrorist group was most likely behind the failed drone attack.
