I hope everyone who participated enjoyed destroying something good. I see now that, yes, it had to be this way. It had to be someone. Maybe it'll help others see…
When I was a kid, oh about 3 or 4, my uncle was looking after me one evening. He was a hockey fan and the hockey game came on the TV. What I at the time referred to as the "hockey songs" started and I started singing along as loud as I could with the song I liked the most. My uncle then yelled at me, and at that age that sort of tone sets a kid on edge to think they did something wrong. He said, "Hey! That's not your song. You not supposed to sing that one. Your song comes after this one. It's okay, I'll sing it along with you." The only part I've ever liked of "my song" was the "We stand on guard for thee part," the other one I always liked better it was more "soaring" and uplifting while mine was kind of "stuffy" I thought. Figured seeing as I've never told that to anyone and I'll never tell it to anyone in person or ever again I figured I'd share it here. Goodbye. o7
