CBS New York's Tim McNicholas posted on X a screenshot of an NYPD Crime Stoppers flyer indicating that a $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Judging by the far-right image on the flyer, and as reported by other media outlets, the suspect is believed to have used a firearm with a suppressor.

Satanic Temple outlawed in Russia

The prosecutor general’s office claims the US-based quasi-religious organization supports “members of extremist and terrorist movements”

Russian authorities have designated the US-based Satanic Temple as an undesirable organization, claiming that the quasi-religious group justifies violence and supports extremist and terrorist entities.

Under Russian law, any foreign or international organization which is believed to pose a threat to the country’s security and political system can be labeled undesirable. This status essentially prohibits such entities from operating in Russia; their bank accounts are frozen and local branches are shut down. Those found in breach of the law could face fines or even prison sentences under certain circumstances.

Since the legislation came into force in 2015, numerous not-for-profit organizations have had to close their doors in Russia, including the Church of Scientology and the Jehovah's Witnesses.

In a statement on Wednesday, the prosecutor general’s office said that the “so-called Satanic Temple was registered in the US in 2012” by several Harvard University graduates. According to Russian officials, the group has 23 chapters in the US, Canada, Australia, Germany, Finland and several other nations. It is believed to have over 10 million members worldwide.

The Russian authorities claimed that the organization “promotes occult ideologies [and] uses Satanic imagery to discredit traditional spiritual-ethical values.” The Satanic Temple, which allegedly enjoys US government support, also justifies violence and “actively backs members of extremist and terrorist movements,” the prosecutor general’s office explained.

What’s Going on Here? Investigators Uncover Orgies, Employees Having Sex on Government Property at Tennessee VA Hospital – One VA Official Had Sex With 32 Different Employees

Congressional and internal investigations into sexual misconduct at the Mountain Home VA Medical Center in Tennessee have led to the resignation of several top VA officials as investigators discovered widespread sexual misconduct among employees.

At least 12 officials reportedly had an orgy, potentially at the hospital, though details on the location are still unclear. At least two employees admitted to having sex on the VA hospital property.

This discovery comes after House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Mike Bost (R-Ill.) fired off an August 9, 2024 letter to Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Denis McDonough, demanding information regarding “allegations of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and improper interpersonal relationships” at the VA hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee.

“To date, the Biden-Harris administration has not responded to this inquiry. To allow the Committee to fully investigate these disturbing allegations, VA should begin immediately providing answers to this inquiry on a rolling basis,” reads a September 5 Committee on Veterans’ Affairs press release.

“Since Chairman Bost’s first letter to you on this topic, on July 25, 2024, whistleblowers have been in communication with Committee staff and provided further details on the allegations and information regarding additional allegations of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and improper interpersonal relationships at the Mountain Home VA, which facility leadership allegedly did not address properly, that were previously unknown to Committee staff. This new information is extremely disturbing and leads us to believe there may be a serious culture problem at the Mountain Home VA,” the Committee writes in its August letter to VA Secretary McDonough.

Rep. Diana Harshbarger (R-TN) and Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) provided comments to local WJHL in August on the investigation of the VA facility in their home state.

Harshbarger told the station, “I support the ongoing investigation led by Chairman Mike Bost and look forward to a timely discovery of the facts and resolution to the issue. Absolutely nothing should stand in the way of our Veterans getting the care that they deserve. My office remains open to all whistleblowers who wish to confidentially share any information regarding misconduct with any agency.”

Blackburn said, “The allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault at the VA Medical Center in Mountain Home are serious and disgusting, and American taxpayers deserve thorough and immediate answers from the Inspector General’s ongoing investigation. This is not the first time the VA has been the subject of scandal under the Biden-Harris administration, and any responsible parties must be held accountable.”

A Congressional aide familiar with the investigation told Breitbart, “The fact that the culture would even allow this to happen in the first place is absolutely wild and it all starts at the top.”

Kiev involved in Syrian conflict – Moscow

Foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has cited a report that Kiev’s intel may be working with terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham

A significant “Ukrainian trace” has been detected among foreign fighters in northwestern Syria, according to a top Russian diplomat. In a briefing on Wednesday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova cited a report that Ukraine’s intelligence services may have collaborated with the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).

The Kyiv Post has reported that Islamist groups involved in recent attacks in Aleppo province could have been prepred by the ‘Khimik’ Special Forces unit of Ukraine’s military intelligence service (HUR), which allegedly provided “operational training” to militants in Idlib province.

“This is not the first region where the Kiev regime applies its criminal experience,” Zakharova stated, as cited by newspaper Vedomosti, highlighting previous Ukrainian involvement in conflicts across Africa and now, reportedly, in Syria.

“Radicals are clearly trying to undermine years of efforts toward stability in this country, posing serious security risks for civilians, particularly in conflict zones,” Zakharova explained. She condemned the use of civilians as human shields, describing it as a disturbing tactic amid the ongoing violence.

Zakharova also suggested that these terrorist acts likely benefit from external support aimed at reigniting conflict in Syria. “We express our solidarity with the leadership and people of Syria in this challenging situation,” she said, reaffirming Moscow’s commitment to the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Sanctioning China, The World

Of all the situations to trigger a global nuclear war, a confrontation with Beijing appears among the most likely. The U.S. has constructed a network of over 300 military bases encircling China – another nuclear-armed state. Rubio is doing more than almost anyone to make that doomsday scenario an eventuality. He has made clear that he supports Taiwanese independence, breaking more than a half-century of official U.S. policy in the process. His “Taiwan Peace Through Strength Act” promotes direct military collaboration between the U.S. and Taiwan and calls for increased arms spending on the island.

Rubio was also one of the faces of the 2014 Hong Kong protest movement, a U.S.-backed attempt to wrest the island city from Chinese influence. He invited the movement’s leaders to Washington, D.C., and attempted to introduce legislation to force the United States into supporting Hong Kong’s independence.

At home, he has led the clampdown on Chinese businesses such as Huawei and has spearheaded a movement to uncover and stamp out China’s supposed undue influence over American media and educational institutions.

Unsurprisingly, then, the former Florida senator also supports a trade war and sanctions against China and, indeed, much of the world, including Russia, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Iran.

Unilateral sanctions, of course, are illegal under international law. However, Rubio believes the United States can and should use its economic might to crush countries resisting Washington’s dictates. The waning power of the dollar as the global reserve currency, though, makes this increasingly difficult. As Rubio lamented on Fox News last year, Brazil, the largest country in Latin America, signed a comprehensive trade agreement with China whereby goods and services would be paid for in local currencies rather than the dollar:

They’re creating a secondary economy in the world, totally independent of the United States. We won’t have to talk sanctions in five years, because there will be so many countries transacting in currencies other than the dollar, that we won’t have the ability to sanction them.”

For the past three years I have skipped the influenza vaccine and have noticed progressively fewer viral upper respiratory tract illnesses or common colds. In decades prior I had taken forty flu shots as requirements in medical school, residency, fellowship, and medical staff. Could the flu shot weaken or misdirect the immune system on a regular basis?

In 2012, Cowling et al performed a prospective, double-blind randomized placebo controlled trial in children ages 6-15 years to who received either the 2008–2009 seasonal trivalent influenza inactivated vaccine (TIV; 0.5 mL Vaxigrip; Sanofi Pasteur) or placebo. The results were stunning. While summer and winter colds were not statistically different, proven viral infections within two weeks of the shot confirmed by PCR testing were 4.4-fold greater in those who took the flu shot.

US-Backed Kurdish Forces Attack East Syrian Villages

Intense clashes as US artillery shells village of Khasham

The Syrian Civil War and its various fronts continue to re-escalate today with the Kurdish SDF attacking, and temporarily claiming they had captured seven villages in the eastern Deir Ezzor Province. The villages are along the path between the provincial capital and the Abu Kamal border crossing with Iraq.

The villages didn’t ultimately remain in the SDF’s hands, with the Syrian Army reporting that they had repelled them after intense fighting. The decision of the SDF to attack in the first place does not appear to have been entirely their own, however.

The US not only supported the SDF attack, but according to al-Mayadeen the US military actually “instructed” the SDF’s Deir Ezzor Military Council to attack those specific villages, meant to take advantage of the recent territory losses and fighting further west between Syrian forces and the Islamist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).

US involvement in the attacks didn’t end there. The US provided artillery support, firing artillery out of the Conoco outpost, which is near oil fields. The US shelled the village of Khasham, hitting it with at least 12 shells.

US officials confirmed carrying out strikes in eastern Syria, hitting a tank and other targets. They claimed a rocket hit somewhere near their position and that Syrian military assets “presented a clear and imminent threat” to US forces.

Other US officials suggested that the SDF had requested US military support and they were “supporting them.” They denied this had anything to do with the HTS offensive in the northwest, and insisted that the attacks were not outside their normal mission, adding that the US is “there to defeat ISIS.” The attacks were against Syrian military targets, not ISIS.

The SDF is trying to downplay the US involvement in these attacks, arguing that after the Russian troops had deployed away from Syrian government-controlled villages, they were vulnerable to potential ISIS attack. The SDF also claimed that they felt responsible for “protecting” the villages, by which they meant attacking them.

Blinken Says Ukraine Must Send Younger People Into War

The US is pressuring Ukraine to lower the minimum conscription age from 25 to 18

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Wednesday that Ukraine needs to send younger people to fight Russian forces as the US is pressuring Ukraine to start conscripting teenagers for combat.

Ukraine’s current minimum conscription age is 25, and the US wants it lowered to 18. Ukrainians ages 18 to 25 can join the military to fight but cannot be forced into combat under the latest mobilization law.

“These are very hard decisions, and I fully both understand that and respect that,” Blinken told Reuters in an interview with Reuters at NATO headquarters in Brussels. “But for example, getting younger people into the fight, we think, many of us think, is necessary. Right now, 18- to 25-year-olds are not in the fight.”

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte echoed Blinken’s comments. “We have to make sure, obviously, also that enough people are available within Ukraine,” he said. “We need probably more people to move to the front line.”

The call from Blinken comes as it’s clear there’s no path to a Ukrainian military victory, but the Biden administration is doing everything it can to escalate the proxy war before President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated on January 20. Ukrainians are also ready for an end to the war, as a recent Gallup poll found that the majority of Ukrainians, 52%, want peace talks with Russia to end the conflict.

Earlier this year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a mobilization law that lowered the age of conscription from 27 to 25, but he has so far resisted calls from the US to lower it further. Serhiy Leshchenko, an aide to Zelensky, said in October that Ukraine has been under pressure from American politicians, both Republicans and Democrats, to recruit 18-year-olds.
