Tech billionaire Elon Musk has called for Brexit leader Nigel Farage to be replaced at the helm of the Reform UK party after previously expressing support for the longtime Trump ally. Farage, meanwhile, has vowed to not compromise on his principals.

Just weeks after meeting with Mr Farage at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, the world’s richest man has apparently had a change of heart towards arguably Britain’s most impactful politician since the Second World War, having successfully led the remarkable campaign to see the UK leave the European Union in 2016.

“The Reform Party needs a new leader. Farage doesn’t have what it takes,” Musk wrote on X.

Prior to the post, there had been speculation that Musk intended on making a large donation to Reform, however, it now appears that the billionaire may be looking for significant control over the party, including over its leadership.

The statement came after a public disagreement over English activist Tommy Robinson, who is currently in prison after pleading guilty contempt of court for repeating libellous statements in public against a Syrian refugee. To the apparent chagrin of Musk, Farage has said that he would not welcome the former English Defence League in as a member of Reform.

Over the past week, Musk has placed heavy focus on European affairs, promoting the right-wing populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) party ahead of the February elections as well as highlighting the Muslim child rape grooming gang scandal in England and the politically correct failures of politicians, police, and local officials to protect young girls.

This came shortly after the tech billionaire came under scrutiny from the MAGA base in the United States over his advocacy for migration through the H1-B visa programme.

Musk’s electric car company Tesla has reportedly taken advantage of the visa programme to fill positions that were vacated after the firm laid off around 15,000 American workers in April of last year.

Responding to criticism over his advocacy for importing foreign tech workers from America First accounts on his social media platform, Musk responded: “Take a big step back and FUCK YOURSELF in the face. I will go to war on this issue the likes of which you cannot possibly comprehend.”

Conversely, under Nigel Farage, the Reform party has consistently argued in favour of drastically reducing immigration, calling ahead of the previous election in July for a “freeze” of all non-essential immigration to Britain.

The debate over immigration is working out perfectly for the deep state. Donald Trump is calling on the CIA and the FBI to “get involved” in domestic policing. At the same time, MAGA conservatives are begging the US government to impose a vast new surveillance state on Americans in the name of stopping illegal aliens.

For at least four years, Russiagate hysteria has been used to promote more police statism, spying, military intervention, and government spending. Now, the incoming president Donald Trump will help the US regime seamlessly pivot from Russiagate hysteria to hysteria over Islamists and immigrants. The result will be the same: more growth in the federal police state and the further erosion of the Bill of Rights. This will be welcomed by MAGA conservatives who weeks earlier claimed to be suspicious of federal power and opponents of federal spy and police agencies.

Trump’s Foreign Bogeymen and His Allies at the CIA

On Thursday, Trump posted on X/Twitter demanding that “The CIA must get involved, NOW, before it is too late,” presumably in reaction to the New Orleans New Years Eve massacre, which rightwing activists have declared to be an act of terrorism committed by an Islamist from an immigrant family. In the same post, Trump says “This is what happens when you have OPEN BORDERS,” tying the issue of immigration to terrorism, and then demanding that the CIA become more active in domestic spying.

Trump has already given a number of hints as to what will be used to justify the continued drumbeat for police statism under his second administration. Just prior to his post calling for an expanded CIA, Trump declared that “Radical Islamic Terrorism, and other forms of violent crime, will become so bad in America that it will become hard to even imagine or believe.” This is Trump’s version of the “communists under your bed” hysteria of the 1950s, which, of course was used to justify the growth of the American security state during the Cold war.

The Trump administration has already signaled its openness to a growing surveillance state through Trump’s chosen friends and alliances. For example, Trump’s Vice President, JD Vance is essentially bankrolled by Peter Thiel, founder of Palantir, a data mining firm thoroughly linked to the CIA. Thiel is a longtime advocate of a federal surveillance state, and now Trump proposes appointing Thiel’s protégé, Blake Masters, as head of the BATF.

All the evidence points to an incoming administration that is very comfortable with helping the deep state get bigger and more powerful. After all, during Trump’s first administration, Trump immediately betrayed his promise to make the six-decade-old JFK files public, instead siding with CIA and FBI bureaucrats. Trump apparently believes that the taxpayers still must not be allowed to view basic historical records from the days when your grandfather was still hoping to move up to middle management at Studebaker Corporation.

Moreover, during his first term, Trump issued an order giving more independence to the CIA, making it easier for the agency to conduct cyber attacks without oversight from the civilian government.

Katz warns ceasefire in jeopardy if Hezbollah doesn’t withdraw from south Lebanon

Defense minister says if terror group doesn’t remove operatives and weapons as stipulated in truce, ‘there will be no agreement, and Israel will be forced to act independently’

Israel will be “forced to act” if Hezbollah does not pull back from southern Lebanon as stipulated in the ceasefire agreement, Defense Minister Israel Katz warned on Sunday.

“Israel is interested in the implementation of the agreement in Lebanon and will continue to enforce it fully and without compromise to ensure the safe return of the residents of the north to their homes,” Katz said during a visit to an Israel Defense Forces base in northern Israel, where the military has set up a display of captured Hezbollah weapons.

As part of the truce agreement signed by Israel and the terror group on November 27, the IDF is required to cede all of its positions in southern Lebanon to the Lebanese army within 60 days. At the same time, Hezbollah is required to retreat north of the Litani River, some 30 kilometers (18 miles) from the border with Israel.

An Israeli official told The Times of Israel Sunday that Israel was recently signaling it could remain in Lebanon after the initial 60-day ceasefire to pressure the Lebanese Armed Forces to fulfill their obligations before the period ends.

Investigation Launched After Uncounted Ballots Found in Wisconsin’s Liberal Capital

An investigation has been launched into the handling of the 2024 election in Wisconsin’s Democratic-controlled capital.

The city of Madison is facing an investigation after 200 uncounted ballots went missing in the last election.

The Wisconsin Election Commission voted unanimously to open a probe into Madison’s handling of the issue.

Alarmingly, the missing ballots went unreported for more than a month.

This isn’t the first time the liberal stronghold of Madison has been at the center of an election controversy recently.

The city admitted to mailing out 2,000 duplicate mail-in ballots in September, while absentee voting was underway.

The city clerk of Madison, Maribeth Witzel-Behl, is now facing the first-ever investigation from the state’s bi-partisan election commission over 200 uncounted ballots.

The oversight is so “egregious” that it must be looked into, the Democrat chair of the commission, Ann Jacobs, said.

“We are the final canvassers,” Jacobs said.

“We are the final arbiters of votes in the state of Wisconsin and we need to know why those ballots weren’t included anywhere.”

Adding to the concern is the city’s delay in reporting the issues.

Two separate batches of uncounted ballots were found in Madison on November 12 and December 3.

However, the commission was not informed of the discrepancy until December 18.

The Pentagon addressed questions regarding reports this week about the U.S. military moving construction materials into Kobani, a city in northeastern Syria close to Turkey's border, ostensibly to help its long time partners, the Kurdish-led Syrian Defense Forces, stave off attacks by the Turks.

"We're continuing to work and focus on our mission, which you know why we're in Syria, to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS. But when it comes to US forces in Kobani, there's no plan or intent right now to set up any base. I'm not sure where those reports are coming from," said Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh.

Unfortunately the follow-ups in the briefing room were weak and didn't ask the next logical question more plainly: if not a "base" is there an outpost or smaller fortification being constructed for the mobilization of U.S. troops and personnel? If video and on-the-ground reports are to be believed, something is going on there.
