In 2019 Trump wanted to send some National Guard to help secure the Southern border in California. Gavin Newsom refused and then, for politics, actually pulled the existing guard from the border. "There is no border crisis."
In 2024, during election season when the Democrats were pretending to care about border security, Newsom went to the border and claimed that Republicans were denying him the NG support he needed to secure the border.
Newsom is a complete fraud. He's a useless, corrupt, self-serving politician who is good at talking and lying but he does not deliver results for his state. Hopefully people in CA wake up.
