While declining to stay the sentencing against Trump tomorrow, the U.S. Supreme Court did something important in their decision denying the stay.
The gaurenteed that the shit face NY Judge cannot impose any other sentence than a "unconditional discharge". Prior to the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court denying the stay, the judge in NY had extreme leeway to say one thing in public then change his mind and make a custodial or otherwise crazy sentence.
Now, the Supreme Court has solidified the "unconditional discharge" sentence and paved the way for appeals without any significant unknowns.
