Temps aside, it can be crippling in a place unaccustomed to driving in snow especially without the correct tires.

I was headed north out of TX coming home after the eclipse last April. Hit a severe storm which dumped a shit ton of small hail and grapple. All the sudden I'm seeing all kinds of cars and trucks breaking loose and sliding off the roads. Turns out they were driving with cruise control and tires meant for dry and wet roads. Being from just south of Canuckistan and driving with siped snow tires AND knowing not to use cruise control in such conditions, my only issue was dodging others.

> first good snow

Anon always tries to stay home that day.

A few years back some idiot woman caused the largest pileup in our city's history. It was snowing hard with those giant fluffy snowflakes. Local news shows up and interviews her. She admits on camera that she was "watching the pretty snowflakes" when she lost control. She didn't even know when to STFU.
