I would argue that Carter was correct to do so.
No one should be drafted to feed the globalist war machine.
I bet a lot of those people knew they were being sent to die for profit.
Just like no one in America today should be sent to die for Ukraine or Israel.
No more involvement in foreign wars so some globalist bankers can make more money.
And get more Christians killed for [their] god.
