If you travel far enough out into the country, eggs tend to be less expensive. Maybe not that cheap, but far cheaper than they cost in any major cities. I can get a dozen for around $3.50 where I live, small town America surrounded by farms.

I think that all depends what cops you run into and where. Some are just plain corrupt and rotten, lawless. There are others, the 'sorry, just doing my job' types and you'll be OK so long as you don't give them too big a shit about it. Some cops will be nice as long as you behave and are polite, but get in their face and they may make you have a bad day. Now consider like any other job in America you get some disgruntled workers, some lazy ones, some stressed out workaholics, some that hate their job, etc.

Well, consider some of the risks the good cops face. 'You rat us out we'll plant drugs on you, frame you and arrest you for it, and we'll vouch you were a corrupt cop.' The biggest weak link is every cop's worst nightmare is ended up in prison. It's a damn shame but the way it is today. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Perhaps, but consider these cops do take risks and help people when need be. Imagine the lawlessness our society would be in with no rule of law what-so-ever, no police to call if you get robbed or were taken hostage at gunpoint, no police to show up if you had someone kidnap your son or daughter, no police to come to assist you if your car broke down on the side of the road, etc.
