>If anyone can stop the continuous wars, and create Peace Pacts with countries, it's PDJT.

>That is the very reason why he needs and will get the ultimate protection as CiC, from the Military Industrial Complex

I'm curious how true this flow of logic is. Would love it to be. Soldiers might oppose war along with most citizens, but what about higher ups whose jobs and budgets depend on defense? And some who might be ambitious and want to prove themselves capable? Seems like there will always be some in that world who will push for war. But I hope most want to avoid it.

My logic is more faith, optimism, and hope those who have the skills to provide the absolute protection he deserves, come in and take over

If Erik Prince and friends could provide it, that would be the perfect solution. Erik said they will never work for the US Gov again, because they got blamed for things the Dept of State did, and used them as scape goats (hrc was running it at that time)

Thanks for the challenge to clarify my statements

Stellantis responds to Trump's tariff threat, will restart Illinois

Pras Subramanian

Wed, January 22, 2025

Big Three automaker Stellantis (STLA) is making a number of US moves in response to the new Trump administration and its focus on building products in America.

In a letter to employees, Stellantis North America COO Antonio Filosa acknowledged that group chairman John Elkann met with Trump ahead of his inauguration and noted Trump’s “enthusiasm” for his strong commitment to the US and growing jobs and the US economy.

Stellantis — which owns Ram, Jeep, Dodge, and other brands — confirmed a number of specific actions it will take to “entail a multibillion-dollar investment in our people, great products, and innovative technology, all here in the US,” Filosa said.

To that end, Stellantis said it would build a new midsize pickup truck at the recently shuttered Belvidere, Ill., assembly plant. Stellantis previously ended production at Belvidere for the Jeep Cherokee SUV, angering UAW representatives and workers. Now Stellantis said it will return approximately 1,500 UAW members to work, a reversal of the move by former CEO Carlos Tavares, who resigned in early December.

In addition, the company will move forward with plans to build the next-generation Dodge Durango SUV at its Detroit Assembly Complex. There had been rumors that Stellantis would move Durango production to Canada.

Stellantis also confirmed new investments at its Toledo assembly plant, where the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator are built, which will result in additional tech and more product features for those vehicles. Last month, Stellantis also changed plans to lay off workers at the plant, reversing a scheme to cut a shift at the plant.

Stellantis will also invest in tooling operations at its Toledo plant to make more “critical” components in-house and will make more investments at its Kokomo, Ind., plant for an upcoming new four-cylinder engine, “ensuring that the US will be the manufacturing home of this strategic powertrain,” Filosa said.

The announcements come after Trump indicated tariffs were on the way for products made in Mexico and Canada, where Stellantis makes some of its products.

Read more: How do tariffs work, and who really pays them?

Stellantis will have more to say about its plans and full financial results when it reports full-year earnings on Feb. 26.

(Ok this is funny, Trump is announcing this before the annual earnings call of every company on stock market. He did this to give them motivation to build in the US, before earnings. They don't want to lose investors. Our Guy is Brilliant)

@realDonaldTrump’s de-mystifying the idea that all of these Washington institutions are perfectly independent.

Presidents don’t have to be shy about power, and having an opinion isn’t illegal… anymore.

Trump’s not whispering and tip-toeing around D.C. — or the rest of the world. Today he told the World Economic Forum that they aren’t dictating anymore. The new world order won’t be set at a summitin Switzerland by bankers, politicians, and economists.

America is beginning to reassert its economic advantage. We have the biggest consumer market, more liquid capital than any country, and the largest energy reserves.

So, this country has an absolute right— an obligation to our own people— to set trade terms and not be taken advantage of.

Fiat-Chrysler met with Trump and now they’re restarting a Jeep plant in Illinois andbuilding Dodge Durangosin Detroit, Samsung is about to move production from Mexico to the U.S., Canada wants to help trump restart the Keystone Pipeline…and its only day 4.

That was a magnificent explanation of what America First means to Trump and the people of America.

God Almighty, give our President the absolute protection he will always need. The Globalists are not happy today. They will not embrace what America First means, but they will learn quickly!

God Bless America and the blessing of what PDJT can do for the world. Their minds will be blown

Canadian Leader Ready To Work With Trump To Resurrect Keystone XL Pipeline

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith 'looking forward to starting those conversations,' she tells the Washington Free Beacon. Danielle Smith, the premier of Alberta, Canada, said Tuesday that she would like to restart conversations with Trump administration officials aboutreapproving the Keystone XL oil pipelineor permitting additional Canada-United States oil pipelines.

Smith is prepared to leverage her own authority and work with President Donald Trump on the issue, she told the WFB in a Tuesday interview. Her government is seeking to double its oil and gas production, she said, which means the province will need additional pipeline infrastructure to transport that product to its destination.

"I think there's a number of different projectswe could look at that go cross-border, north and south," Smith said. "What I would propose is—are there ways that we can look at increasing pipeline access…

"And I think that would match with the speed with which this administration wants to move," she continued. "So, whether it's a Keystone 2.0 or something else, I'm looking forward to starting those conversations in earnest once the interior secretary is sworn in."

Smith's support for Keystone XL and additional pipeline construction is a significant development as Trump begins in earnest to implement his energy agenda, which will focus on increasing oil and gas production, and expanding energy infrastructure. Renewing Keystone XL's federal approval or fast-tracking permits for additional oil pipelines could kickstart that agenda and simultaneously secure a significant messaging win for Trump.

Keystone XL—which, as proposed, would originate in Alberta, cross into Montana, and stretch 1,200 miles to Nebraska before reconnecting with the existing Keystone pipeline system—has for years been heralded by Republicans and Montanan officials as an important tool for increasing energy security and boosting the economy, but loudly opposed by Democrats and climate activists over its potential emissions profile.

In early 2017, Trump overturned former president Barack Obama's 2015 decision to reject the project. Then, after years of federal permitting, Keystone's developer TC Energy would begin constructing the pipeline in 2020, thanking Trump and the government of Alberta, which took an equity stake in the project. But theproject's permits were rescinded by former president Joe Biden and TC Energyultimately abandoned it altogether in June 2021.

"To say this was a big deal for Montana is an understatement," Montana attorney general Austin Knudsen (R.) said during a webinar Tuesday. "Those permits were all in place, those easements have all been in place, and we literally had electric co-ops laying out power lines, laying on infrastructure, you had man camps being built, you had pipeline depot facilities being constructed in Montana—and, on day one of Joe Biden's administration, by executive order, he cancels that permit."

Knudsen added that industry officials expect Trump to take another look at the project, potentially via executive order.Rep. Ryan Zinke (R., Mont.)…

"I think with the premier's interest in it—obviously Trudeau is out, but, again, it's not only for Canada, but it's also U.S. national security and interest in a particular grade of fuel you can't replace in the Permian [Basin oil field]," Zinke told the FB.

In a statement, Katie Stavinoha, a spokeswoman for Keystone's developer South Bow, said the company supported Trump's actions to bolster energy production, but underscored that the Keystone XL project remains canceled.

"We appreciate President Trump’s leadership in advancing energy reliability across North America, including his support for increasing Canadian crude oil supplies to the U.S. This vision aligns with our company’s strategic commitment to long-term growth," Stavinoha said. "South Bow is engaging with customers to develop options that utilize our existing infrastructure and corridor to enhance energy security by increasing Canadian crude oil supplies to meet growing U.S. demand."

Meanwhile, Smith's comments come as part of her efforts to strengthen relations, particularly on energy matters, between the oil-rich Alberta and the United States. Smith attended Trump's inauguration on Monday, telling the Free Beacon that she sought to earn exemptions from Trump's planned tariffs for Alberta's energy industry.

"We are stronger together. I think we can help Americans achieve their goal of energy dominance and ensure that American citizens continue to have low cost energy," Smith added.

When Your Son Goes MAGA - The New York Times

Jan. 19, 2025 (This is retarded of course)

Some liberal parents aren’t so sure they should try to intervene. Plenty see their sons’ embrace of Mr. Trump as an expected act of rebellion, or a choice made by an independent young adult that they should respect. For others, it has felt like a painful rejection of the values they have tried to instill in their children.

“I’ve had to do a lot of soul searching and reading about it to not feel like I’ve failed as a mom,” said Ms. Behr, who adopted Eli from China when he was 10 months old. In tearful therapy sessions, she has come to believe that pressuring her son to share her views was only making him more deeply entrenched.

Over Christmas break, the pair watched “The Godfather II” and hiked in Forest Park, avoiding any talk about politics. Eli said he was confident his close relationship with his mother would survive their political differences.

“I love my mom,” said Eli, who now refrains from wearing his MAGA hat around her. “I want her to stay a part of my family.”

‘Who’s Got a Hold of My Son?’

Research has typically supported that parents pass along their political loyalties to their children. When children are young, parents have more control over their political influences; as they grow closer to voting age the onslaught of messaging becomes harder to monitor.

In a hyper-digital world, parents’ influence may be waning, said Christopher Ojeda, an assistant professor of political science at University of California, Merced, and an author of two studies on party identification across generations.

“I always tell him, ‘I might get worried about you and I might feel sad because I don’t think you understand some things that maybe you will down the road,’” Ms. Morlan said. “‘But I’m going to love you more when you’re struggling, because it’s just politics.’”

Mr. Morlan, 57, an architect, was not immediately accepting of his son’s support for Mr. Trump. “Initially, it was like, ‘Are you crazy?’” he said. But Mr. Morlan has backed off over time, conscious that trying to discredit his son could keep them from having political discussions at all.

“As soon as they’re young adults, you don’t get to tell them how to think anymore,” he said.

Some parents still worry about the kind of men they will grow up to become. Kevin Bromberg, 58, a Democrat who lives in a suburb of Charlotte, N.C., said he disapproved of Mr. Trump’s lack of empathy toward immigrants like his wife. The insults and shock-talk that turned Mr. Bromberg off did not seem to alienate his 22- and 20-year-old sons from a previous marriage, who both voted for Mr. Trump.

Mr. Bromberg says he is happy that they are paying attention to politics at all, and has told his sons he respects their opinions. But a part of him remains concerned that the callousness he sees in Mr. Trump and the Republican Party will find its way into his children.

“Look, I’m not worried about my kids becoming educated on the issues,” he said. “What I don’t want is for my kids to become these cruel people.”

‘Nobody Feels Heard’

Parents who have been warned against hovering like helicopters seem to understand that micromanaging their children’s party affiliation is probably not setting them up for independent lives. Still, they didn’t necessarily consider that the children they taught to think for themselves might someday vote differently than they did. (These parents today need psychological help, to find out if they are the programmed people. The arrogance of "college educated" voters is such a lie. They are more duped than anyone.)

(I don't even remember my parents in the late 70's ever telling me who to vote for or why. But we all left home by 20 or 21 years of age at that time.)
