Trump Calls For Jordan, Egypt To Take More Palestinian Refugees, "Clean Out" Gaza

President Donald Trump said on Jan. 25 that he wants Egypt, Jordan, and other Arab nations to accept more Palestinian refugees from the Gaza Strip, with the goal of moving out enough of the war-torn area’s population to “just clean [it] out” and create a virtual clean slate of the Palestinian territory.

Trump made the comments during a 20-minute question-and-answer conference with reporters on Air Force One Saturday. He said he lifted former President Joe Biden’s hold on sending 2,000-pound bombs to Israel, which was intended to lower civilian casualties in the Israel–Hamas War, now paused during a fragile cease-fire deal.

Trump said he released the bombs that day, “They’ve been waiting for them for a long time.”

When asked why he lifted the ban, Trump said, “Because they bought” the bombs.

The president has backed Israel for much of his political career. Regarding his goals for Gaza, Trump described a call earlier in the day with Jordan’s King Abdullah II and said he would speak with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi on Sunday.

“I’d like Egypt to take people,” Trump said.

“You’re talking about probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing and say, ‘You know, it’s over.’”

During his call with Abdullah, Trump said he complimented Jordan for taking in Palestinian refugees and told the king, “I'd love for you to take on more, cause I’m looking at the whole Gaza Strip right now, and it’s a mess. It’s a real mess.”

The resettling or displacement of Gaza refugees would likely spur pushback from Palestinians, who hold a connection to the region. Trump said the area has experienced “many, many conflicts” for centuries and that resettling could be “temporary or long term.”

“Something has to happen,” the president said. “But it’s literally a demolition site right now. Almost everything’s demolished, and people are dying there.”

“So, I’d rather get involved with some of the Arab nations, and build housing in a different location, where they can maybe live in peace for a change,” he added.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office did not issue an immediate response to Trump’s remarks.

After his inauguration on Jan. 20, Trump said Gaza has “really got to be rebuilt in a different way.”

”Gaza is interesting. It’s a phenomenal location, on the sea. The best weather, you know, everything is good. It’s like, some beautiful things could be done with it,” he added.

The response from the Hamas terrorist group and its aligned groups was swift, with the terrorist organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad calling Trump’s idea “deplorable.” The group told AFP that the plan encourages “war crimes and crimes against humanity by forcing our people to leave their land.”

Rubio Tells Chinese Counterpart That US Interests Come First

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has told his Chinese counterpart that the Trump administration will prioritize American interest in its relationship with communist China, according to the State Department.

Rubio conveyed this message during a phone call on Jan. 24 with China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi, marking his first publicly known formal exchange with Wang as the top U.S. diplomat.

Rubio emphasized that the Trump administration will pursue a relationship with China that “advances U.S. interests and puts the American people first,” according to the U.S. readout of the call.

State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said the secretary “stressed the United States’ commitment to our allies in the region and serious concern over China’s coercive actions against Taiwan and in the South China Sea.”

According to a summary of the call issued by China’s foreign ministry, Wang told Rubio that teams from both sides should implement the consensus reached during last week’s conversation between the two countries’ leaders, which had “pointed out the direction” and “established the tone” for Sino–U.S. relations.

Wang reiterated the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) sovereignty claims over Taiwan, a self-ruled island that the regime has not ruled out using force to bring under its control.

Wang also issued a veiled warning to Rubio, who was placed on Beijing’s sanctions list twice in 2020 for his human rights advocacy, saying that he hoped Rubio would “act accordingly” and “play a constructive role for the future of the people of China and the United States,” according to a translation by the Chinese ministry.

Rubio characterized communist China as “the most potent and dangerous, near-peer adversary this nation has ever confronted” during his Senate confirmation hearing last week.

US Passed Secret Intelligence To AQ-Linked Rulers Of Syria: WaPo

Hayʼat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which rules Syria from Damascus under Jolani, is still a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization under US law. The only change which happened at the end of the Biden administration was that the US $10 million bounty on Jolani's head was removed, at a moment Western officials have engaged the new regime in Damascus on a diplomatic level.

But The Washington Post has just revealed that American intelligence officials met with HTS representatives and passed them classified intelligence information. This happened during the tail-end of the Biden White House.

The Washington Post report begins, "In the chaotic days after the fall of [Bashar] al-Assad, the Biden administration began to engage cautiously with HTS and its leader, Abu Mohammed al-Julani."

"The intelligence exchange with HTS has occurred in direct encounters between US intelligence officials and representatives of HTS, rather than via third parties." The Post continues.

The report adds that this "has involved exchanges between the two sides, in Syria and a third country. It began roughly two weeks after HTS came to power on Dec. 8."

This is being presented by US officials as to combat threats being presented by a resurgent ISIS. For example, there have been recent reported plots against a key Shia religious pilgrimage site on the outskirts of Damascus, the Sayyidah Zaynab Mosque.

"In at least one case, the U.S. intelligence helped thwart an ISIS plot to attack a religious shrine outside Damascus earlier this month, according to the officials," the WaPo report says.

Switzerland arrests Palestinian-American journalist

It is unclear whether Electronic Intifada founder Ali Abunimah has been charged with a crime

Police in Switzerland have arrested Palestinian-American journalist Ali Abunimah ahead of a speaking event in Zurich, according to Electronic Intifada, a pro-Palestine news outlet run by Abunimah.

Abunimah was detained in Zurich on Saturday, hours before he was due to speak at the event, Electronic Intifada reported. It is unclear whether he has been charged with a crime, but he has had access to legal counsel, the outlet stated.

One day earlier, the 53-year-old journalist was questioned for an hour by officers when he arrived at Zurich Airport.

“Abunimah’s arrest appears to be part of a growing backlash from Western governments against expressions of solidarity with the Palestinian people,” Electronic Intifada wrote.

Born in Washington DC to parents from the West Bank, Abunimah co-founded Electronic Intifada in 2001. The site reports on events in the Middle East from a Palestinian perspective, and Abunimah regularly appears on mainstream news networks to advocate for the Palestinian cause.

Abunimah’s arrest came three months after British police raided the home of Electronic Intifada associate editor Asa Winstanley. Nearly a dozen officers entered Winstanley’s London home at dawn and seized several electronic devices, telling him that they were investigating him for possible “encouragement of terrorism” in connection with his social media posts.

Winstanley was not arrested or charged with any crime.

Pro-Palestinian activists Mick Napier and Tony Greenstein have both been arrested by British police since the Israel-Hamas war began in October 2023, while in August, police arrested British journalist Richard Medhurst on charges of “expressing an opinion or a belief that is supportive of a proscribed organization.” He was eventually released, but his phone and work equipment were seized, while Medhurst himself was subjected to a search and questioning.

Abunimah’s arrest “appears to be a direct result of his outspoken advocacy,” the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee wrote in a statement on Saturday. The organization called on the US State Department to intervene and secure his release.

The State Department has not commented on the arrest.

Hundreds of Lebanese attempted to reach southern villages near the border with Israel by force on Sunday morning, defying warnings by the Israel Defense Forces to stay away, as the ceasefire’s original 60-day deadline for Israel to withdraw its forces passed with troops remaining in parts of the country’s south.

The Lebanese health ministry said 22 people had been killed, including a Lebanese soldier, and some 124 had been wounded by IDF fire in southern Lebanon since the morning.

The crowds appeared to be largely made up of Hezbollah supporters. Hezbollah’s al-Manar television, broadcasting from several locations in the south, showed footage of residents moving toward villages in defiance of Israeli orders, some holding the terror group’s flag and images of Hezbollah fighters killed in the war, as well as slain Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.

An Israeli military official told reporters that hundreds of Lebanese, among them Hezbollah operatives, tried to reach villages in southern Lebanon while carrying out “provocations.”

The official said the military had prepared for civilians attempting to reach the border villages at the end of the 60-day truce, despite its warnings.

“The IDF remains deployed in southern Lebanon, continues to operate in accordance with the ceasefire understandings between Israel and Lebanon, and is monitoring Hezbollah’s attempts to return to southern Lebanon. The IDF will operate against any threat posed to IDF troops and the State of Israel,” the military said.

Israel has said that it needs to stay past the 60-day deadline because the Lebanese army has not deployed to all areas of southern Lebanon, as was agreed, to ensure that Hezbollah does not reestablish a military presence in the area. The Lebanese army has accused Israel of procrastinating in its withdrawal.

Trump Releases Weapons To Israel That Biden Withheld For Political Reasons

President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that weapons purchased by Israel that were being withheld by President Joe Biden are now being shipped.

The new administration instructed the Department of Defense to release the hold that it placed on the 2,000-pound bombs that Israel ordered, Axios reported.

“A lot of things that were ordered and paid for by Israel, but have not been sent by Biden, are now on their way!” Trump posted on social media.

Biden had halted the supply of the bombs to Israel in an attempt to appease the far-Left, anti-Semitic-wing of the Democrat Party heading into the November elections.

Israeli officials said that they learned on Friday that Trump had released the 1,800 MK-84 bombs that were being held in storage, the report said.

The bombs are now being placed on a ship and sent to Israel.

The Trump administration has announced that it is pausing all foreign aid to other countries except weapons support to Israel and Egypt.

The announcement came in a memo that was signed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio that laid out how the U.S. government was going to reassess foreign aid over the next 90 days.

The memo ordered all U.S. employees working on foreign aid to immediately stop “designating new funding and taking applications, and to issue ‘stop-work’ orders to groups that have received grants.”

ICAN Acquires Critical FDA Safety Reports Concerning COVID-19 Vaccines After Years of Litigation

There will be much more to this story as it unfolds but the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) has finally obtained the VAERS safety information produced by the FDA themselves.

During the pandemic, FDA conducted analyses of COVID-19 vaccine adverse events and tried to hide the results from the public. After two years of FOIA requests and lawsuits, FDA finally produced a portion of its “Empirical Bayesian (EB) data mining” reports. This type of analysis was designed to detect COVID-19 vaccine safety signals using VAERS reports. The data should be very revealing as far as what issues FDA was seeing during the vaccine rollout—especially given the agency has kept this data secret for years. This is the first time this critical data has been released to the public.

An initial review of the records produced has revealed a long list of adverse events that far surpassed FDA’s “standard alert threshold”—meaning, there is (or should have been) great concern on the part of federal health authorities who were privy to this data. As just one example, ICAN discovered that “heavy menstrual bleeding” and “menstruation irregular” began showing up on the reports as early as April 2021!

I have only done a cursory review of the reported signals but what immediately caught my attention is that by 4th March, 2022, by their own metrics, all three US “vaccines” appear to be signalling serious adverse events, including

death (Janssen)

exposure via breast milk (Moderna, Pfizer)

suspected COVID-19 (Janssen); and

ineffectiveness (Pfizer).

If a product is ineffective, surely everything else is moot?! If that “ineffective” product is fatal in some cases, well…

Sam Altman’s World now wants to link AI agents to your digital identity

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman took the technology world by surprise on Thursday with the release of Operator, his company’s first AI agent that can act autonomously on the web.

But OpenAI is not Altman’s only venture that’s trying to capitalize on the popularity of AI agents.

Altman’s World project now wants to create tools that link certain AI agents to people’s online personas, letting other users verify that an agent is acting on a person’s behalf, according to its chief product officer, Tiago Sada.

World, a web3 project by Altman and Alex Blania’s Tools for Humanity that was formerly known as Worldcoin, is based on the idea that it will eventually be impossible to distinguish humans from AI agents on the internet. To address this, World wants to create digital “proof of human” tools. After scanning your eyeball with a silver metal orb, World will give you a unique identifier on the blockchain to verify that you’re a human.

It’s worth noting that Tools for Humanity has a reputation for pivots and finding itself in controversies. World started as a crypto project, was temporarily banned in some countries, and was recently ordered to let Europeans delete their biometric data on request. In October, the project dropped “coin” from its name, signaling it would focus more on human verification, and less on crypto.

While verifying AI agents so they can do things on behalf of people may seem like a divergence from World’s mission to verify humans with web3 IDs, Sada says it’s a critical and logical next step for the project.

“This idea of delegating your ‘proof of personhood’ to an agent and letting it act on your behalf is actually super important,” he said in an interview with TechCrunch. “Instead of only allowing people you think are human [on your website], you will also allow AI agents that represent a real human. This is where World ID comes in.”

World’s ID technology could also be used to license AI agents to act on your behalf, Sada said. In a recent blog post, the project notes that its proof of human tools will not only distinguish humans from bots, as they do today, but could help people control a network of AI agents online.

World seems to be expanding its tools to verify “digital actions” that belong to a person, even if they didn’t come from their account. The project says its tools for AI will prove to be essential in 2025, but Sada said the firm will “need to see” if any of those tools involve linking AI agents to people. It sure sounds like the startup is thinking about it, though.

“There’s certain apps where it doesn’t matter if an actual person is using it, or an agent acting on their behalf. You just care to know there is a person endorsing that interaction,” said Sada.

Many websites today use tools from Cloudflare and Snowflake to block AI bots from scraping their website. Early users of OpenAI’s Operator found that some websites blocked OpenAI’s new agent by default.

But Sada says businesses may reconsider their permissions to let some AI agents use their services.

“At the end of the day, businesses want to sell more. They want to serve more users,” said Sada. “If a delivery app’s sales increase because there’s a bunch of agents coming and replying on behalf of their users, the business is going to be happy about that.”

That example is quite timely. OpenAI just announced collaborations with Uber, Instacart, and DoorDash to allow its new Operator agent to use their platforms. This is a major shift for these companies, who are used to serving users on their apps. Instead, online businesses now seem to be preparing for a future in which some of their user interactions will be facilitated by AI agents.

Albanese’s multimillion-dollar commitment to battle anti-Semitism

The Albanese government has made a multimillion funding promise to battle anti-Semitism in Australia with investment in education initiatives.

The Albanese government has committed $6.4m to Holocaust education in Australia amid a rising tide of anti-Semitism.

On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camps in the closing stages of World War II, the Labor government on Monday announced it will fund a national Holocaust Education Centre in Canberra.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said he would also deliver an upgrade to the Holocaust Institute of WA in Perth.

On Monday, the government committed $4.4m in funding for the National Holocaust Education Centre.

Each year, 165,000 schoolchildren visit Canberra on educational trips.

And the government says it hopes the National Holocaust Education Centre will serve as an educational landmark just like the National War Memorial and National Museum of Australia.

An American-Zionist group is reportedly compiling the names of foreign students on visas to hand to the new administration of US President Donald Trump for deportation over holding pro-Palestine demonstrations across university campuses.

The World Betar Movement has initiated a campaign to identify the foreign students in the United States who have participated in anti-Israel activities on college campuses, The New York Post said.

The group is preparing a list of names to provide to the Trump administration, aiming to facilitate the deportation of individuals who condemn Israeli genocide and support Palestinian resistance movements in the Gaza Strip.

The group has about 30 names of students from countries such as Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Canada, and the United Kingdom currently enrolled in some of the top US universities, including Columbia, UPenn, Michigan, Syracuse, UCLA, The New School for Social Research, Carnegie Mellon, and George Washington University, it said.

Accusing the pro-Palestine students of anti-Semitism, Ross Glick, director of the US chapter of Betar, said, “We have started lists of Jew-hating foreign nationals on visas who support Hamas.”

Stressing that Betar is utilizing facial recognition software and advanced database technology to compile the list, Glick said the initiative aligns with Trump’s campaign promise to revoke the student visas of individuals engaging in anti-Semitic activities.
