New Mexico sheriff launches drone program to get eyes on scene before first responders arrive

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. — The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is launching drones aimed at getting cameras on a scene before deputies and other first responders arrive on the ground.

Known as the Drone as First Responder Program, the X10 drones can be deployed by deputies to scout emergency situations safely before officers arrive.

 

Not only does it decrease response times, but it also helps deputies to de-escalate and ensure they are equipped with the right resources to handle calls, according to drone manufacturer Skydio.

The drones will allow BCSO to see where a call came from and give dispatch the ability to say: “This call can be cleared,” or “We need to relay intel to our teams that are getting into their cruisers and are responding to an actual incident,” said Skydio Key Account Leader Daniel Palumbo.

 

The first question people will ask about the drone program is, “Hey, is this the Big Brother syndrome here?” said Sheriff John Allen on Friday afternoon. “Are you keeping an eye out on everything we’re doing?”

No, he said, this is to help firefighters and deputies get to a scene quicker while potentially preventing a situation from de-escalating.

 

“The earlier you get there with these drones, the more information you are getting ahead of time,” said BCSO Deputy Jeremy Sanchez, drone program coordinator.

BCSO will also use the drones to help other agencies, like the fire department and SWAT team, and provide coverage in rural areas, Allen said.

 

While the sheriff’s office already has some drones, the new ones are designed to be deployed first, allowing deputies to see what’s happening before getting to a scene.

BCSO said it plans to train 25 deputies to use a fleet of up to 20 autonomous drones.

 

BCSO has a three-to-five-year contract with Skydio, and they hope to get the new drones flying in the next four to six weeks, Allen said.

They plan to ask the state legislature for $4 million in capital outlay for the program, which Allen said he hopes will be fully up and running in the next six to eight months.

The exploitation of the worker visa program is the exploitation of a labor source. For H1B workers, this is kind of like a slave situation. Didn't we get rid? Big business is not about supporting America, it's about controlling the system to embargo American workers and exploit imported labor. What about the recent order outlawing discrimination and basing hiring on merit? It is discrimination to embargo American workers and it's un-American to employee wage slaves.

Trump Calls For Jordan, Egypt To Take More Palestinian Refugees, "Clean Out" Gaza

 

President Donald Trump said on Jan. 25 that he wants Egypt, Jordan, and other Arab nations to accept more Palestinian refugees from the Gaza Strip, with the goal of moving out enough of the war-torn area’s population to “just clean [it] out” and create a virtual clean slate of the Palestinian territory.

 

Trump made the comments during a 20-minute question-and-answer conference with reporters on Air Force One Saturday. He said he lifted former President Joe Biden’s hold on sending 2,000-pound bombs to Israel, which was intended to lower civilian casualties in the Israel–Hamas War, now paused during a fragile cease-fire deal.

 

Trump said he released the bombs that day, “They’ve been waiting for them for a long time.”

 

When asked why he lifted the ban, Trump said, “Because they bought” the bombs.

 

The president has backed Israel for much of his political career. Regarding his goals for Gaza, Trump described a call earlier in the day with Jordan’s King Abdullah II and said he would speak with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi on Sunday.

 

“I’d like Egypt to take people,” Trump said.

 

“You’re talking about probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing and say, ‘You know, it’s over.’”

 

During his call with Abdullah, Trump said he complimented Jordan for taking in Palestinian refugees and told the king, “I'd love for you to take on more, cause I’m looking at the whole Gaza Strip right now, and it’s a mess. It’s a real mess.”

 

The resettling or displacement of Gaza refugees would likely spur pushback from Palestinians, who hold a connection to the region. Trump said the area has experienced “many, many conflicts” for centuries and that resettling could be “temporary or long term.”

 

“Something has to happen,” the president said. “But it’s literally a demolition site right now. Almost everything’s demolished, and people are dying there.”

 

“So, I’d rather get involved with some of the Arab nations, and build housing in a different location, where they can maybe live in peace for a change,” he added.

 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office did not issue an immediate response to Trump’s remarks.

 

After his inauguration on Jan. 20, Trump said Gaza has “really got to be rebuilt in a different way.”

 

”Gaza is interesting. It’s a phenomenal location, on the sea. The best weather, you know, everything is good. It’s like, some beautiful things could be done with it,” he added.

 

The response from the Hamas terrorist group and its aligned groups was swift, with the terrorist organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad calling Trump’s idea “deplorable.” The group told AFP that the plan encourages “war crimes and crimes against humanity by forcing our people to leave their land.”

Rubio Tells Chinese Counterpart That US Interests Come First

Switzerland arrests Palestinian-American journalist

 

It is unclear whether Electronic Intifada founder Ali Abunimah has been charged with a crime

 

Police in Switzerland have arrested Palestinian-American journalist Ali Abunimah ahead of a speaking event in Zurich, according to Electronic Intifada, a pro-Palestine news outlet run by Abunimah.

 

Abunimah was detained in Zurich on Saturday, hours before he was due to speak at the event, Electronic Intifada reported. It is unclear whether he has been charged with a crime, but he has had access to legal counsel, the outlet stated.

 

One day earlier, the 53-year-old journalist was questioned for an hour by officers when he arrived at Zurich Airport.

 

“Abunimah’s arrest appears to be part of a growing backlash from Western governments against expressions of solidarity with the Palestinian people,” Electronic Intifada wrote.

 

Born in Washington DC to parents from the West Bank, Abunimah co-founded Electronic Intifada in 2001. The site reports on events in the Middle East from a Palestinian perspective, and Abunimah regularly appears on mainstream news networks to advocate for the Palestinian cause.

 

Abunimah’s arrest came three months after British police raided the home of Electronic Intifada associate editor Asa Winstanley. Nearly a dozen officers entered Winstanley’s London home at dawn and seized several electronic devices, telling him that they were investigating him for possible “encouragement of terrorism” in connection with his social media posts.

 

Winstanley was not arrested or charged with any crime.

 

Pro-Palestinian activists Mick Napier and Tony Greenstein have both been arrested by British police since the Israel-Hamas war began in October 2023, while in August, police arrested British journalist Richard Medhurst on charges of “expressing an opinion or a belief that is supportive of a proscribed organization.” He was eventually released, but his phone and work equipment were seized, while Medhurst himself was subjected to a search and questioning.

 

Abunimah’s arrest “appears to be a direct result of his outspoken advocacy,” the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee wrote in a statement on Saturday. The organization called on the US State Department to intervene and secure his release.

 

The State Department has not commented on the arrest.

According to the announcement, dated Jan. 19 — the day before Biden left office — the president was granted a “resolution of membership” by the lodge

 

For a start, it is not clear to what extent Biden accepted, formally or informally, membership of the lodge, or if it was merely presented to him as something they did for (and to) him. Pictures of the event show the president shaking hands and embracing the head of the lodge, but not receiving any certificate or physical representation of membership.

 

That matters, because the actual crime in canon law is not the status of being a member of a masonic lodge but the act of joining.

 

Simply put, if Biden didn’t actively do anything to join the Freemasons or accept his membership, it’s reasonable to conclude that he did not violate the relevant canon, which — in accord with canonical principles — must be interpreted strictly.

Hundreds of Lebanese attempted to reach southern villages near the border with Israel by force on Sunday morning, defying warnings by the Israel Defense Forces to stay away, as the ceasefire’s original 60-day deadline for Israel to withdraw its forces passed with troops remaining in parts of the country’s south.

 

The Lebanese health ministry said 22 people had been killed, including a Lebanese soldier, and some 124 had been wounded by IDF fire in southern Lebanon since the morning.

 

The crowds appeared to be largely made up of Hezbollah supporters. Hezbollah’s al-Manar television, broadcasting from several locations in the south, showed footage of residents moving toward villages in defiance of Israeli orders, some holding the terror group’s flag and images of Hezbollah fighters killed in the war, as well as slain Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.

 

An Israeli military official told reporters that hundreds of Lebanese, among them Hezbollah operatives, tried to reach villages in southern Lebanon while carrying out “provocations.”

 

The official said the military had prepared for civilians attempting to reach the border villages at the end of the 60-day truce, despite its warnings.

 

“The IDF remains deployed in southern Lebanon, continues to operate in accordance with the ceasefire understandings between Israel and Lebanon, and is monitoring Hezbollah’s attempts to return to southern Lebanon. The IDF will operate against any threat posed to IDF troops and the State of Israel,” the military said.

 

Israel has said that it needs to stay past the 60-day deadline because the Lebanese army has not deployed to all areas of southern Lebanon, as was agreed, to ensure that Hezbollah does not reestablish a military presence in the area. The Lebanese army has accused Israel of procrastinating in its withdrawal.

Trump Releases Weapons To Israel That Biden Withheld For Political Reasons

 

President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that weapons purchased by Israel that were being withheld by President Joe Biden are now being shipped.

 

The new administration instructed the Department of Defense to release the hold that it placed on the 2,000-pound bombs that Israel ordered, Axios reported.

 

“A lot of things that were ordered and paid for by Israel, but have not been sent by Biden, are now on their way!” Trump posted on social media.

 

Biden had halted the supply of the bombs to Israel in an attempt to appease the far-Left, anti-Semitic-wing of the Democrat Party heading into the November elections.

 

Israeli officials said that they learned on Friday that Trump had released the 1,800 MK-84 bombs that were being held in storage, the report said.

 

The bombs are now being placed on a ship and sent to Israel.

 

 

The Trump administration has announced that it is pausing all foreign aid to other countries except weapons support to Israel and Egypt.

 

The announcement came in a memo that was signed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio that laid out how the U.S. government was going to reassess foreign aid over the next 90 days.

 

The memo ordered all U.S. employees working on foreign aid to immediately stop “designating new funding and taking applications, and to issue ‘stop-work’ orders to groups that have received grants.”

ICAN Acquires Critical FDA Safety Reports Concerning COVID-19 Vaccines After Years of Litigation

 

There will be much more to this story as it unfolds but the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) has finally obtained the VAERS safety information produced by the FDA themselves.

 

During the pandemic, FDA conducted analyses of COVID-19 vaccine adverse events and tried to hide the results from the public. After two years of FOIA requests and lawsuits, FDA finally produced a portion of its “Empirical Bayesian (EB) data mining” reports. This type of analysis was designed to detect COVID-19 vaccine safety signals using VAERS reports. The data should be very revealing as far as what issues FDA was seeing during the vaccine rollout—especially given the agency has kept this data secret for years. This is the first time this critical data has been released to the public.

 

An initial review of the records produced has revealed a long list of adverse events that far surpassed FDA’s “standard alert threshold”—meaning, there is (or should have been) great concern on the part of federal health authorities who were privy to this data. As just one example, ICAN discovered that “heavy menstrual bleeding” and “menstruation irregular” began showing up on the reports as early as April 2021!

 

I have only done a cursory review of the reported signals but what immediately caught my attention is that by 4th March, 2022, by their own metrics, all three US “vaccines” appear to be signalling serious adverse events, including

 

death (Janssen)

 

exposure via breast milk (Moderna, Pfizer)

 

suspected COVID-19 (Janssen); and

 

ineffectiveness (Pfizer).

 

If a product is ineffective, surely everything else is moot?! If that “ineffective” product is fatal in some cases, well…

Sam Altman’s World now wants to link AI agents to your digital identity

 

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman took the technology world by surprise on Thursday with the release of Operator, his company’s first AI agent that can act autonomously on the web.

 

But OpenAI is not Altman’s only venture that’s trying to capitalize on the popularity of AI agents.

 

Altman’s World project now wants to create tools that link certain AI agents to people’s online personas, letting other users verify that an agent is acting on a person’s behalf, according to its chief product officer, Tiago Sada.

 

World, a web3 project by Altman and Alex Blania’s Tools for Humanity that was formerly known as Worldcoin, is based on the idea that it will eventually be impossible to distinguish humans from AI agents on the internet. To address this, World wants to create digital “proof of human” tools. After scanning your eyeball with a silver metal orb, World will give you a unique identifier on the blockchain to verify that you’re a human.

 

It’s worth noting that Tools for Humanity has a reputation for pivots and finding itself in controversies. World started as a crypto project, was temporarily banned in some countries, and was recently ordered to let Europeans delete their biometric data on request. In October, the project dropped “coin” from its name, signaling it would focus more on human verification, and less on crypto.

 

While verifying AI agents so they can do things on behalf of people may seem like a divergence from World’s mission to verify humans with web3 IDs, Sada says it’s a critical and logical next step for the project.

 

“This idea of delegating your ‘proof of personhood’ to an agent and letting it act on your behalf is actually super important,” he said in an interview with TechCrunch. “Instead of only allowing people you think are human [on your website], you will also allow AI agents that represent a real human. This is where World ID comes in.”

 

World’s ID technology could also be used to license AI agents to act on your behalf, Sada said. In a recent blog post, the project notes that its proof of human tools will not only distinguish humans from bots, as they do today, but could help people control a network of AI agents online.

 

World seems to be expanding its tools to verify “digital actions” that belong to a person, even if they didn’t come from their account. The project says its tools for AI will prove to be essential in 2025, but Sada said the firm will “need to see” if any of those tools involve linking AI agents to people. It sure sounds like the startup is thinking about it, though.

 

“There’s certain apps where it doesn’t matter if an actual person is using it, or an agent acting on their behalf. You just care to know there is a person endorsing that interaction,” said Sada.

 

Many websites today use tools from Cloudflare and Snowflake to block AI bots from scraping their website. Early users of OpenAI’s Operator found that some websites blocked OpenAI’s new agent by default.

 

But Sada says businesses may reconsider their permissions to let some AI agents use their services.

 

“At the end of the day, businesses want to sell more. They want to serve more users,” said Sada. “If a delivery app’s sales increase because there’s a bunch of agents coming and replying on behalf of their users, the business is going to be happy about that.”

 

That example is quite timely. OpenAI just announced collaborations with Uber, Instacart, and DoorDash to allow its new Operator agent to use their platforms. This is a major shift for these companies, who are used to serving users on their apps. Instead, online businesses now seem to be preparing for a future in which some of their user interactions will be facilitated by AI agents.

An American-Zionist group is reportedly compiling the names of foreign students on visas to hand to the new administration of US President Donald Trump for deportation over holding pro-Palestine demonstrations across university campuses.

 

The World Betar Movement has initiated a campaign to identify the foreign students in the United States who have participated in anti-Israel activities on college campuses, The New York Post said.

 

The group is preparing a list of names to provide to the Trump administration, aiming to facilitate the deportation of individuals who condemn Israeli genocide and support Palestinian resistance movements in the Gaza Strip.

 

The group has about 30 names of students from countries such as Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Canada, and the United Kingdom currently enrolled in some of the top US universities, including Columbia, UPenn, Michigan, Syracuse, UCLA, The New School for Social Research, Carnegie Mellon, and George Washington University, it said.

 

Accusing the pro-Palestine students of anti-Semitism, Ross Glick, director of the US chapter of Betar, said, “We have started lists of Jew-hating foreign nationals on visas who support Hamas.”

 

Stressing that Betar is utilizing facial recognition software and advanced database technology to compile the list, Glick said the initiative aligns with Trump’s campaign promise to revoke the student visas of individuals engaging in anti-Semitic activities.

• Another example he shows are trees that are literally cooking from the inside out, burning, while not one single leaf burned on the same trees.

President Donald Trump pushed back on Colombian President Gustavo Petro on Sunday after Petro's regime refused to allow U.S. deportation flights to land in his country.

 

The U.S. had sent two flights of Colombian illegal aliens from the U.S. this weekend as part of Trump's burgeoning deportation program. Petro argued on X that the U.S. cannot "treat Colombian migrants as criminals," leading to backlash from Trump.

 

"I was just informed that two repatriation flights from the United States, with a large number of Illegal Criminals, were not allowed to land in Colombia. This order was given by Colombia’s Socialist President Gustavo Petro, who is already very unpopular amongst his people," Trump wrote on social media.

 

"Petro’s denial of these flights has jeopardized the National Security and Public Safety of the United States, so I have directed my Administration to immediately take the following urgent and decisive retaliatory measures," Trump continued.

 

Trump's says he has ordered a 25% tariff on all goods coming into the U.S. from Colombia, a tariff that will rise to 50% after one week. He also ordered a travel ban and Visa revocations for all Colombian government officials, including their "allies and supporters."

 

He also ordered enhanced Customs and Border Protection (CBP) inspections of "all Colombian nationals and cargo."

Schedule Set for Senate Confirmation Hearings This Week: Kash Patel, RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard Are on the Docket

 

The Senate confirmation hearings and floor votes will continue this week in Washington DC.

 

Robert Kennedy, Jr.’s hearing is scheduled for Wednesday at 10 AM.

 

Kash Patel, Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, will have his hearing on Thursday at 9:30.

 

Tulsi Gabbard will also have her hearing on Thursday starting at 10 AM. The Senate will hold a vote for Scott Bessent for Treasury Secretary on Monday evening at 5:30 PM.

It appears the US Senate is slow-walking several nominees through the process.

 

Sean Duffy, Trump’s nominee for Transportation Secretary, will be voted on this week before the full Senate after clearing the Transportation committee 28-0.

Pam Bondi hasn’t passed the Judiciary Committee yet that is needed to send her for a floor vote in the Senate.

 

The committee vote will take place on Jan 29th then she’ll move into que for a floor vote that will likely take place the first week of February if she passes out of the Senate Committee.

 

Wednesday and Thursday ought to be lit.

 

Make sure you call your senator and tell them to support Trump and his nominees or face a primary challenge.

Recently pardoned Hunter Biden has once again found himself at the center of controversy, as newly surfaced bank records and corporate documents indicate that a shared bank account linked to the future first son was used in a fraudulent bond transaction tied to Burnham Asset Management. The firm was involved in a million-dollar securities fraud that saw two of Biden’s business partners arrested and convicted - while Hunter escaped accountability, Just the News reports.

Huntr's former business partners, Devon Archer and Jason Galanis, were convicted for their roles in a scheme that defrauded an Oglala Sioux Native American tribal entity of tens of millions of dollars. Federal authorities found that instead of investing the funds as promised, Archer, Galanis, and their associates misappropriated the bond proceeds.

 

While Archer and Galanis faced prosecution, Hunter quickly faded into the bushes, telling lawmakers in his impeachment inquiry deposition that his proposed role in the company "never came to fruition." However, bank records and a signature analysis reveal that Biden was more entangled with the firm than he has publicly acknowledged.

Records show that a bank account linked to Biden and Archer - Rosemont Seneca Bohai, LLC (RSB) - was directly involved in the fraudulent bond transaction. According to a source close to the transaction, the bonds were transferred to and from the RSB account, possibly to capitalize on the Biden name - a pattern consistent with House Republican claims that Hunter Biden leveraged his last name for lucrative deals.

Trump Says US Will Impose Sanctions Against Colombia Over Repatriation Flights

President Donald Trump said Sunday that he was ordering tariffs, visa restrictions and other retaliatory measures to be taken against Colombia after its government rejected two flights carrying migrants.

 

Trump said the measures were necessary, because the decision of Colombian President Gustavo Petro “jeopardized” national security in the U.S.

 

“These measures are just the beginning,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. “We will not allow the Colombian Government to violate its legal obligations with regard to the acceptance and return of the Criminals they forced into the United States.”

 

Earlier Sunday, Petro said that his government won't accept flights carrying migrants deported from the U.S. until the Trump administration creates a protocol that treats them with “dignity.” Petro made the announcement in two X posts, one of which included a news video of migrants reportedly deported to Brazil walking on a tarmac with restraints on their hands and feet.

 

“A migrant is not a criminal and must be treated with the dignity that a human being deserves,” Petro said. “That is why I returned the U.S. military planes that were carrying Colombian migrants.”

 

The U.S. government didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from The Associated Press regarding aircraft and protocols used in deportations to Colombia.

 

Petro added that his country would receive Colombians in “civilian airplanes” and “without treatment like criminals.”

 

As part of a flurry of actions to make good on U.S. President Donald Trump's campaign promises to crack down on illegal immigration, his government is using active-duty military to help secure the border and carry out deportations.

 

Two Air Force C-17 cargo planes carrying migrants removed from the U.S. touched down early Friday in Guatemala. That same day, Honduras received two deportation flights carrying a total of 193 people.

 

President Donald Trump on Sunday issued the following statement on Truth Social:

 

"I was just informed that two repatriation flights from the United States, with a large number of Illegal Criminals, were not allowed to land in Colombia. This order was given by Colombia's Socialist President Gustavo Petro, who is already very unpopular amongst his people. Petro's denial of these flights has jeopardized the National Security and Public Safety of the United States, so I have directed my Administration to immediately take the following urgent and decisive retaliatory measures:

 

-Emergency 25% tariffs on all goods coming into the United States. In one week, the 25% tariffs will be raised to 50%.

 

-A Travel Ban and immediate Visa Revocations on the Colombian Government Officials, and all Allies and Supporters.

 

-Visa Sanctions on all Party Members, Family Members, and Supporters of the Colombian Government.

 

-Enhanced Customs and Border Protection Inspections of all Colombian Nationals and Cargo on national security grounds.

 

-IEEPA Treasury, Banking and Financial Sanctions to be fully imposed.

 

These measures are just the beginning. We will not allow the Colombian Government to violate its legal obligations with regard to the acceptance and return of the Criminals they forced into the United States!"

Colombian President Gustavo Petro is offering his presidential plane to help repatriate deportees from the US who were set to arrive in the country Sunday morning, the presidency said.

 

“The measure responds to the government’s commitment to guarantee dignified conditions,” the presidency said in a statement, but did not provide details.

 

How we got here: The announcement comes hours after Petro said he was blocking US military deportation flights from entering the country, saying the US “can’t treat Colombian migrants like criminals.” Petro called for the US to use civilian aircraft instead.

 

Trump responded by saying he was imposing “emergency 25% tariffs” on the country and threatening other retribution against Colombian officials.
