This is what was sent to the desk at PCT, restricting NYPD officers from engaging or assisting ICE agents .
I believe only special NYPD units can interact with ICE agents.

Furthermore , as per sanctuary city policies , there is a list of 171 laws that if a migrant breaks and is convicted, law enforcement agencies can already turn those criminals into ICE to have them deported. ( I'm unclear why we haven't done this already)
Also, with compliance with the sanctuary city laws, if a migrant is a public safety threat and either is connected with terrorists or dangerous gangs, the NYPD is allowed to communicate with ICE agents .
A lot of confusion has been floating about on what NYPD officers can do with ICE.
