Patel repeatedly sat for podcast interviews with Peters as all of this was going on; indeed, The Bulwark reported, one of his appearances on the Stew Peters Show came just two days after Peters attended an event with neo-Nazi "Groyper" activist Nick Fuentes and proclaimed former National Institutes of Health director Dr. Anthony Fauci “should be hanging at the end of a noose somewhere.” (One of Trump's acts as president in his first week was to revoke Fauci's security detail.)

The idea that the BRICS Countries are trying to move away from the Dollar, while we stand by and watch, is OVER. We are going to require a commitment from these seemingly hostile Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% Tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy. They can go find another sucker Nation. A pilot's rendition of the crash (11 second vid related)

Heli is on a pre-planned straight path. Plane turns to land on runway 33 as instructed. If this is how the crash happened, I put most of the blame on ATC for not warning the heli in time. Heli didn't have time to turn left and fly behind the plane. One pilot's explanation at the link below.

Halliburton seals Petrobras deal

Houston-headquartered energy service giant Halliburton has won a contract from Petrobras for integrated drilling across several offshore fields in Brazil.

 

The contract scope covers development and exploration wells over three years and significantly expands Halliburton’s drilling services footprint in the pre-salt and post-salt areas, the New Yourk-listed company said.

 

“This contract demonstrates Halliburton’s strength in deep and ultra-deep offshore drilling and well construction,” said Waldomiro Mendes, vice president of Brazil unit at Halliburton.

 

The contract is set to start this year and represents Halliburton’s largest service agreement with Petrobras. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

FAA Hiring scandal. Check out the date on this lawsuit.

 

A scandal at the FAA has been moving on a slow-burn through the courts for a decade, culminating in the class-action lawsuit currently known as Brigida v. Buttigieg, brought by a class who spent years and thousands of dollars in coursework to become air traffic controllers, only to be dismissed by a pass-fail biographical questionnaire with a >90% fail rate, implemented without warning after many of them had already taken, and passed, a skill assessment. The questionnaire awarded points for factors like "lowest grade in high school is science," something explicitly admitted by the FAA in a motion to deny class certification.

 

Mainstream outlets have given it sparse coverage, for reasons that will become clear shortly. Right-wing sources paid attention initially, but few ran follow-ups or took a close look at the court filings. So: What exactly is going on? How did all of this happen? I am not a professional. I am a law student with a part-time job on Blocked and Reported

, a podcast about internet nonsense, and a side hobby of sticking my nose where it doesn't belong. I wanted, and want, to do a thorough report on this when I get the time. But the story is big enough, and spreading fast enough, that I want to make sure that people have access to accurate info as quickly as possible.

 

First, though: court filings are public records, but they are often expensive and difficult to obtain. Tools like RECAP help, but I was lucky to have people around me willing to pay the $80 in PACER fees for a few of the documents. This story is much larger than me and I do not want people to have to rely on me for it. Here are the court documents I have. Most of the interesting exhibits are in 139. Please look for yourself if this story catches your interest.

 

With that out of the way, my current understanding of the situation is as follows. It will be dry at times—others can editorialize more:

 

Historically, the pipeline into air traffic control has followed a few paths: military veterans, graduates of the "Air Traffic-Collegiate Training Initiative" (AT-CTI) program, and the general public. Whichever route they came from, each candidate would be required to take and pass the eight-hour AT-SAT cognitive test to begin serious training. This test was validated as being effective as recently as 2013.

 

The FAA has faced pressure to diversify the air traffic control for generations, something that seems to have influenced even the scoring structure of the AT-SAT cognitive test used for pre-employment screening of air traffic control candidates. Leading up to 2014, that pressure intensified, with the National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NBCFAE) leading the push.

 

To start with, in 2000, a three-member task force, including NBCFAE member Mamie Mallory, wrote "A Business Case and Strategic Plan to Address Under-Representation of Minorities, Women, and People with Targeted Disabilities," recommending, per the lawsuit, a workplace cultural audit, diversity "hiring targets" for each year, and "allowing RNO- [Race and National Origin] and gender-conscious hiring." They were advised by Dr. Herbert Wong, who helped the NBCFAE analyze FAA diversity data in 2009. Wong authored a report concluding that the FAA was "the least diverse agency within the executive branch of the federal government." Mallory and Wong were consulted as part of the 2014 test replacement process.

 

From there, the NBCFAE sent letters in July and October 2009 to the FAA administrator and the Secretary for the Department of Transportation claiming disparate treatment, adopted a strategic plan "advocating for affirmative employment, obtaining an 'independent valuation of hiring and/or screening tools,' and pursuing litigation," a "Talking Points" document pushing the FAA to address diversity, and the creation of a group called "Team 7." In 2012, Team 7 members met with the secretary of the Department of Transportation, the FAA administrator, and senior FAA leaders to discuss diversity, after which the FAA commissioned a "Barrier Analysis" with a number of recommendations. Central to this: the cognitive test posed a barrier for black candidates, so they recommended using a biographical test first to "maximiz[e] diversity," eliminating the vast majority of candidates prior to any cognitive test.

Ukraine wants EU to replace lost US aid

Ukrainian lawmakers have appealed to non-US donors to fund local media outlets and NGOs following the suspension of Washington’s foreign assistance programsthat has reportedly drastically impacted the sector. “Given the constraints on public funding, grants remain virtually the only way for cultural and media projects to function,” the statement said.

Russia is home to 195 peoples, who speak between 277 and 295 dialects, according to the country’s Ministry of Science.

 

A study carried out by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTSIOM) last year suggested that the vastmajority of Russians considered themselves Orthodox Christians (66%), followed by Muslims (6%), Buddhists (1%), Protestants (1%), Jews and Catholics (both less than 1%). Ukraine has been losing around 50,000 servicemen every monthduring the past half a year in the conflict with Russia, according to estimates by the Defense Ministry in Moscow.

 

In January, 51,960 Kiev troops were killed or severely wounded. The figure stood at 48,470 in December and 60,805 in November last year, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

 

The number of recruits in the Ukrainian military’s training centers has barely reached 30,000 per month since last summer, despite extensive mobilization efforts, the statement read.

 

The ministry also noted that, according to official Ukrainian figures, some 100,000 of the country’s troops have voluntarily abandoned their units since the escalation between Russia and Ukraine in February 2022.

 

“The changes to the legislation prepared by the Kiev regime under pressure from Western countries to reduce the mobilization age from 25 to 18 years are the only way for [Ukrainian leader Vladimir] Zelensky to delay the cascading collapse of the front line in Donbass for a few more months,” the statement read.

 

Last week, Nikolay Schur, an adviser to the Ukrainian president’s office, said the government in Kiev will propose amendments in the coming days that offer incentives for males between the ages of 18 and 25 to sign voluntary contracts with the armed forces.

 

Men in that age group are currently not subject to mandatory mobilization under Ukrainian law. Zelensky has so far insisted that the situation will not change, despite the previous US administration of President Joe Biden reportedly pressuring Kiev to reduce the draft age to 18.

 

The Ukrainian leader told Bloomberg last week that what his country’s military needs is not more men, but more weapons from Western backers for the existing troops.(so the can sell them on the black market. Why are Ukraine troops fighting in the Middle East?)

 

Last spring, faced with manpower shortages, mounting losses, and military setbacks, Ukraine lowered the draft age from 27 to 25 and significantly tightened mobilization rules. Since then, numerous videos have appeared on social media showing Ukrainian conscription officers chasing potential recruits in the streets, brawling with them, and subjecting them to abuse. Reports of the mobilization growing increasingly violent and lawless have appeared not only in the local media, but also in the West.

Furthermore , as per sanctuary city policies , there is a list of 171 laws that if a migrant breaks and is convicted, law enforcement agencies can already turn those criminals into ICE to have them deported. ( I'm unclear why we haven't done this already)

 

Also, with compliance with the sanctuary city laws, if a migrant is a public safety threat and either is connected with terrorists or dangerous gangs, the NYPD is allowed to communicate with ICE agents .

 

A lot of confusion has been floating about on what NYPD officers can do with ICE.
