Late January and early February is always a tough time for the @NASA community. Within the span of only a few calendar days (in differing years), America’s worst space program tragedies occurred – the Apollo 1 fire in 1967, the Challenger explosion in 1986, and the Columbia disaster in 2003.17 brave and patriotic astronauts lost their lives across all three incidents.If you ever visit @ArlingtonNatl Cemetery in DC, it is worth seeing the memorials to these fine and dedicated people. To all who perished, you did your duty and you are all still with us – may you all rest in peace.
