The lawsuit, filed by the City of Riviera Beach Police Pension Fund, claims Target directed investor funds toward social and political initiatives and failed to disclose the potential risks of its corporate policies.

The complaint argues that Target’s leadership did not adequately warn investors about possible backlash to its 2023 and 2024 Pride campaigns. As a result, the lawsuit claims, investors purchased stock at inflated prices without knowing the potential financial impact of the company’s social policies.

Minnesota State High School League will continue to allow males in girls’ sports after Trump executive order.

"Therefore, students in Minnesota are allowed to participate consistent with their gender identity," the league said.

“Therefore, it is the policy of the United States to rescind all funds from educational programs that deprive women and girls of fair athletic opportunities, which results in the endangerment, humiliation, and silencing of women and girls and deprives them of privacy,” Trump’s order said.

In response, the NCAA changed its policies to align with Trump’s executive action.

However, the MSHSL has taken a different approach.

“In Minnesota, participation and eligibility of transgender student-athletes is determined by state law, through the Minnesota Human Rights Act and the Minnesota Constitution. The Minnesota State High School League, similar to other youth sports organizations, is subject to state anti-discrimination laws, which prohibit discrimination based on gender identity,” the league said in a letter to member schools, according to multiple reports.

We Need Broken Windows Immigration Policy.

To fulfill President Trump’s mandate for “the largest deportation operation in American history” and to “seal the border and stop the migrant invasion,” we must radically rethink and resource our approach to policing illegal presence in the United States. The Trump administration should look to the successful “Broken Windows Policing” strategy of the 1980s for both operational and policy guidance. It’s time for broken windows immigration policy.

A broad enforcement strategy will also be cost-effective by encouraging self-deportation. It should be supported by policies that remove incentives for illegal residency, such as eliminating free healthcare, housing, and stipends, restricting access to public schools, taxing remittances, enforcing E-Verify, and empowering federal and state agencies in immigration enforcement — all policies likewise rooted in good fiscal sense. Only through such a holistic approach can we fulfill the mandate of this election.

LA mandating low-income housing in Palisades rebuild could be unconstitutional, experts say.

A newly passed Los Angeles ordinance that could require a large portion of apartment units lost to the Palisades Fire to be replaced with low-income housing.

The ordinance could require all multifamily units built before October 1978, which are subject to city rent controls, to be replaced with income-restricted units affordable to low-income households (relative to city, not Palisades income levels).

It also could require the replacement of post-October 1978 units that have been occupied with a low-income renter in the past five years with a low-income unit, and, for units for which the owner does not have complete five-year tenant household income history, replacement with low-income and very-low-income units in proportion to the citywide average.

The willingness of Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency to take on sacred cows is stunning Washington, as tenets long unquestioned suddenly fall like idols destroyed by Abraham.

The same creative destruction should be focused on a bad idea that has harmed cities and fostered dependency for nearly a century: public housing.

Instead of tinkering around its edges, Musk and his minions, as per their approach to the Agency for International Development, should look to phase out “the projects” altogether — by selling off the properties and buying out tenants.

If Musk and Secretary of State Marco Rubio eliminate the hundreds or thousands of bad employees from USAID, so many deserving groups will be better off, including American taxpayers, aid beneficiaries, and the good employees within USAID.

The DOGE clock website says that its tool measures in real time the amount of taxpayers dollars that will be saved by changes being put forth by the Department of Government Efficiency.

It includes the number of total initiatives DOGE has proposed thus far, total savings, individual taxpayer dollars saved and has a countdown of the days remaining until July 4, 2026. The days remaining module could be a countdown toward the organization's stated $2 trillion goal, but Newsweek was unable to confirm this.
