Don't know yet. Anons are on alert, but engaging in our usual digging/meming/praying etc. The photos were intriguing but the only connection to a source was the anon's say-so and the image filenames they assigned to them. That's not enough for proof. It's enough for alertness and suspicion and waiting for more/better sauce though.

Planefags are planning to do some chopperfagging tonight after local nightfall hoping to maybe see some personnel extractions via EMS chopper.

Our partial list of known EMS choppers is here → >>2156905 (in Planefagging101)

.

On ADSBexchange.com you can set the filters for species=helicopter (filtering enabled, MIL filter disabled) to see all the civilian choppers. Then after clicking a chopper of interest, click the Flightaware link for that aircraft (CTRL-click to open a new tab if tracking many). Flightaware will keep tracking that specific chopper while you look around. You can set the map to satellite and zoom in and actually see if it's landing in a neighborhood, on a freeway, or in a hospital parking lot (well you can guess anyway). You can also scroll down below the map and see its recent flights; if medevac you may be able to determine where it's based (usually a regional or municipal airport) and whether it does fly to/from a hospital. Photos of the chopper can be helpful to determine if it's an air ambulance/EMS.

That's my task starting in about an hour for the Eastern time zone, and if anybody wants to join me we could divide up the country.

Planefag update.

  1. Earlier tracked 2-WFBA from Morocco up the coast of Spain. Doesn't appear on Flightaware. Half an hour ago it popped up again on ADSB, this time over Hungary.

  2. U.S. UAV flying south over the water off the W coast of Italy.

Earlier today we also capped AZAZ0909 that we were tracking last evening and a MAGMA flight. We refrain from reporting their positions until we see them heading home.
