New AG Pam Bondi Filed Lawsuit Against New York Officials Over Immigration

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) under Attorney General Pam Bondi has sued New York, its governor Kathy Hochul, New York Attorney General Letitia James and Mark Schroeder, the current commissioner for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. Bondi took aim at New York’s so-called ‘Green Light Law’ that permits undocumented immigrants to get drivers licenses while blocking federal immigration agents from accessing the data. Hochul said that New York’s current laws allow federal immigration officials to access DMV records with a warrant.

Bondi filed similar lawsuits against leftist ‘sanctuary’ regulations in Illinois and the city of Chicago last week.

Trump Targets Troubled California’s Bullet Train Project. Will He Kill It, Too?

President Donald Trump denounced California’s bullet train for the project’s delays and rising costs and said his administration would investigate how billions of federal and state dollars were spent.

“The train that’s being built between Los Angeles and San Francisco is the worst-managed project I think I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen some of the worst,” Trump told reporters, asserting that the project is “billions and billions” of dollars over budget.

Project officials have estimated that a statewide system would reduce auto travel by 10 million miles a day, but Californians drive nearly a billion miles each day. A 10 million-mile reduction would ostensibly cut emissions by scarcely 1%.
